P in the original show KD was NOT like Ghum where the character is disgusting. She's really sly, cunning, but soft spoken but gets her way with subtle manipulation. She's never brash, rude or downmarket. RK was very dignified, graceful looking while pulling her manipulative stunts due to her obsession with Rono. In KD she genuinely moved on with Badsha and softened towards Imon too. Her obsession with Rono Imon kid was due to her inability to conceive. And in the end, it was Rono who failed Imon and his daughter but RK of KD was genuinely mentally ill.

In Ghum makers have been trying really hard to potray P as positive, reformed and genuinely loving towards Vinu.

But the actor has failed miserably and we never had any expectations also. She has established herself as a non actor whom we have to tolerate just coz she's got personal favors for various reasons. She never convinced anyone that she's reformed based on her acting. People from plot pov were wondering if she's really changed but never based on her acting. Nobody bought her act of being positive ever!

She is incapable of doing even bare minimum dialogue delivery let alone any nuances to show her conflicts/motivation so there is nothing to credit.

She is so loud and garrish in all her expressions that its absolutely cringe to watch her.

She also lacks elegance and grace entirely.

She's actually supposed to make audience feel bad for her state too. But P can never ever evoke that sentiment. Infact people are thrilled to see her suffering or beizzati and want more.

If her character is killed, sent away or punished audience will rejoice. Nobody will miss her if she is removed from the show. Its good riddance. As it is many people can't stand her and FF her scenes just to get an essence of whats happening but cant watch her for more than 5 seconds.

I like to talk about Pakhi. . Dont get me wrong. But she is one of a character. She is a borderline sociopath IMO. It was hidden until she met Virat and aggravated when she lost him.

Sociopath definition: a person with a personality disorder manifesting itself in extreme antisocial attitudes and behavior and a lack of conscience.

I think I always have seen these two (@bold) traits in her.

Pakhi's problem is she thinks so highly of herself. Being extremely beautiful(story narrative) and pampered single child, this entitlement comes naturally to her. She must have heard praises only all her life. Now, this lady falls for a guy almost instantly. She is attracted to him. Think how much value she places on Virat? Virat is being desired by HER! So Virat becomes this ONLY man in the universe that Pakhi, the most beautiful, eligible girl desired. And added to it, the MAN promises her that he will not let any other girl into his heart?!!! So she thinks, THE Man who is so desired by ME, is besotted by ME so much that he vowed to remain celibate!!! Now think how much she thinks of herself, Virat and her "value" in Virat's life. This woman has placed herself and Virat at a level so high IN HER MIND, that all others look puny to her. Their love and apparent sacrifice is envionsed as eternal love. She thinks Virat doesnt value any other girl other than her. This comes from her "inherent" feelng that She is the best. She is the most desirable one. Thats why she treats everyone else as puny beings, merely objectss. Hence, Becomes anti social. For her, only she and Virat matters. Virat gets so much value because he fell for HER. We can see how she treats Samrat, walking all over his emotions. How she plays a young girl Sai, how she revels in her pain. It is easy for her to do this, because she doesnt value them. When you dont value a person, how will you empathize with their suffering?

Why I had to give this briefing is because, I want to explain her current nature from this perspective. Now after she has seen Virat falling for Sai, actually she is the only one who clearly knew his love for Sai. Because, when someone is so important to you, you will make them your focus. Remember cafe chat? She tells him very clearly "I know you love Sai, it is clearly seen in your eyes. I dont want to hear that. But she doesnt love you. I LOVE YOU. So you should consider me". See, how she is devaluing him and trying to CHEER him up saying you are still being loved by ME, THE PAKHI, Oh so desirable. This is her thinking. Only when she lost Virat completely, she came to the ground. Tried to find a compromise with Samrat. But. by then her delusions have become second nature to her. Samrat's death has given her sympathy from Virat, which again she thought as "importance" in his life. Now she is on another track, after losing all the worth in his eyes. She wants to find some "importance" in his life. Because Virat is still placed at higher value for her. And her jealousy on Sai and her happiness made him even more valuable in her mind. The more your value is reduced in your own eyes, then the other person's value will increase enormously. Virat was still the same, but his value has doubled in Pakhi's mind. She then tried to find "meaning" by being a part in his life. So eventually she can work her way up. Hence the desperate act of surrogacy. She always termed the child as Virat's child, not Sai and Virat's child.

In the third phase, after Sai's assumed death, Virat was broken completely. She mended him in some way, may be by marrying him without thinking about her future. After destroying a person's life completely, even if you do SOME help to fix him, it will look BIG. It is the greatness of the other person, who considers your small help as the massive one. Virat did the same! He got Vinu and some meaning to live and provide love for that small boy. In a way, it gave him purpose to atone his sins by giving life to another orphan. So he bestowed all the praise on Pakhi for giving that opportunity to live again, if not a happy one but a purposeful one. It is his maganimity that he considered Pakhi's help, even after destorying his life, a valuable one. This makes Pakhi zoom up to her initial state. When a person who you now value more than anything says that you are the reason for his existence, imagine how much highly she thinks of herself. She will think she is everying. World revolves around her. Like sai said the other day, because people are surrendering to your whims and fancies, dont think the world revolves around you. That is exactly what is happening with Pakhi.

Now the key to her importance in Virat's life is Vinu. She has importance in Virat's life because she brought Vinu into Virat's life. Otherwise, there is nothing to hold on! May be she knows she will never get Virat's love. The only way in which she finds VALUE for herself is to be Vinu's mother. She knows Vinu has inclination towards Sai. He will chose her eventually. Thats why she is fighting tooth and nail. Look how dejectedly she sits on the bed yesterday. She was not convinced that Vinu will stay in CN. She KNOWS her days are numbered in Virat's life. It is that acceptance that caused dejection.

You have to take Pakhi's words seriously when she is screaming and screeching or broken. Those are her actual fears. Some of them I am listing here.

"Only Sai is the most important to you. Not me!"

"I am just a glorified nanny to your son. nothing more than that"

"If you give away Vinu to Sai, I will have no importance in your life"

So that is her worry. She wants SOME importance in Virat's life. Vinu is essentially a tool for it. She might have loved him. A nanny also will love a child who she takes care of. But ultimately, the child is a tool to impress the boss and get good reviews from him. When the woman said, Vinu will go back to Sai if his fears are removed, then you can easily see where her priorities are?!! Why does she want a mentally sick child to herself? Because at the end of the day, he is just a tool! When you see a person like an object, then you dont empathize with him!

What a brilliant analysis.

When V threw Sai out of the house, P had told herself -- yes V is sad but I will make him lean on me and then he will see me. But at that time he ruthlessly rejected her shoulder to lean.

I believe after Sai's "death" she was back with her shoulder persistently and he eventually leaned on it for adoption. I believe that gratitude from V for P comes from that aspect. Meantime she somehow convinced CN wasis that she has regretted her actions in surrogacy and separating V-Sai and now is positive P

See Pakhi is not a good human being to begin with. She is an average selfish human. So whatever she did for Virat is the least you could do for someone who you loved, or whose life you destroyed. She might not have schemed things after Sai's death, but whatever she did might not be so great. Agreeing to marriage for adoption is her choice. If she thinks she is victim of her own choice what can anyone do.

she thinks she is positive and mahaan. But her positivity is sooo low to begin with. She is not a good person. that is her reality. If she is not scheming like before, she is still not the good person. She is not doing criminal and cruel things. thats all.

Thats the reality of Pakhi. she is not a good person in its basic definition of GOOD.

yeah, she went to kankoli and brought sai back to Nagpur to treat Vinayak only to impress Virat at that time she never thought sai is a threat to her as sai has savi and she thought sai has moved on. After the school running race competition they all gathered together in chavan house and how Pakhi and even Virat were blushing when Kaku said to spend time with each other. so thats the prize she was expecting from Virat for Vinus treatment from sai.

Wow sadika u r such a good writer. I can't write like this yaar .u have captured pakhi in a nutshell. She is like this only .she always want someone besides her . Someone to give her some importance in their lives. And she should be the center of virat life that is her main goal.

V is very similar to P. He has an inflated sense of ego and self worth. When he developed feelings for Sai he assumed Sai should also feel the same way. And he acted out when she wasn't on the same page. he completely ignores her, is rude to her and gives more attention to P. But then when that approach makes Sai leave but unfortunately she gets into an accident - he feels guilty of hurting Sai and pushing her to the brink of death. So he flips. So he decides- ok, I cant force Sai to love me but I will just be supportive friend. Sai sees his "friend" side and believs he's a good guy. But obviously this phase cant last too long because its all pretense. The natural instinct kicks in and again at the first sign of a conflict, Vs natural reaction is to act as if he is the only farz abiding soul out there , nobody understands his situation, he's so sacrificial and mahaan and nobody gets him but he mistrusts Sai, doesn't take help when offered, does not honor their bond, makes Sai feel unimportant and takes her for granted. And in the end he goes back to being a cruel guy.

He keeps flipping between these 2 extremes.

He loves to get the validation of people and maintain his adarsh waadi , mahaan image but reality is that he does not actually care about anybody but himself.

And thats why he fits well with P. They are 2 peas in a pod who are both highly selfish, self centered, opportunistic, immoral people who can lie at the drop of a hat and shed crocdile tears at the snap of a finger. V will additionally make promises he cant keep and P will try to make everyone feel guilty for her own bad choices in life.

Sai forces V to be a better person, answerable to his own conscience, truthful, consistent in his morals thoughts and actions but he cant deal with that for too long. Thats why he keeps on going back to P who will give him validation for no reason, pity him and build him up as mahaan for no reason. And thats why he allowed P to be in his life even though she openly made him indecent proposals despite being married to Sam and later despite her crimes, immoral intentions being exposed again post Sam death also.

The minute the person he's with stops being a "challenge" or stops giving him validation he will flip and make them the villain and himself bechaara.

P is a terrible person but V is no better.

when virat was trying to baghao chipkali he was saying " chipkali kamra chodo, aaj hum chipkali se humari aajadi lekar rehenge". It was like Pakhi ko bolraha ho.🤣
