I interpreted it as he was telling both about the past and the present status quo of the relationship..At present, I don't think he will create situations to be with Sai rather the circumstances will put them together adding to pakhi's miseries

I didn’t find so much touchy scenes between Virat and Shruthi like we see between VP . Where offscreen effects is when there is unnecessary proximity between VP in certain scenes which doesn’t go well with the script due to real life equations .

He is assuring pakhi as a loyal husband. Calling sai nothing and other names and again accepting sai by ditching pakhi is disrespect to both women.

He never ever said pakhi is nothing to me except brother's wife despite knowing sai insecurities.

Now he is doing everything which he should have done to sai regarding her insecurities with pakhi especially after remarriage when she was open about it.
