The curious case of unanswered calls!
The story began with an unanswered call, and today a chapter began with another one.
They say universe shows you the right path, but if we are unable to follow that for whatever reasons, we are pushed onto that path involuntarily.
If we believe that V and Sai are meant to be together and they are destines. Universe will conspire to bring them together. When Sai-V first met during the felicitation ceremony, V was on a path (P) that was not meant for him. Virat had already been directed on his chosen path - Sai. So he unknowingly disconnects P's call. Had he known who it was at that point, he would have answered, and their lives would have been very different. But fate intervened, and V indirectly chose Sai by disconnecting P's call.
Today, the situation seemed very similar. Except V took that call on his own. He chose his path willingly. He was about sign the papers, and P called. The distraction, the hurdle on his path. And he didn't answer. Then he didn't know what was good for him. So universe chose the path for him. Today he knows, so they let him take the call on his own.
Just as I thought, V meets his officers in the hospital and is moved. He decides to accept the proposal. Wonder how the man who wears the word "Farz" up on his sleeve, didn't know what his farz was demanded till then.
Because he thought Sai will decline and his ego would be hurt? So he wanted to say "No" first?
Anyways, the interesting part was the conversation with Rupa.
When she came and thanked him and he consoled her, I felt like here comes another "Zimmedari" on a platter. Much younger than Sai🤣
Her story was similar to Sai. A daughter brought up by a single parent with a dream to become a doctor. It was so similar that I could have even doubted V orchestrating the whole meeting to convince Sai 🤣
But that would be going too far. However, this thought still remained. How can V not see the resemblance and understand Sai's state. He shared that part of her life with her. Her loss.
He stood at a distance as if he was not meant to be part of that conversation but heard every bit of it and his expressions said he understood the emotions too. Look how he has turned his back and is hearing the convo and giving out the true reactions subtly.
Sai is injured and trips a lil, and V offers her his hand. But she refuses it. Now note how they have been presenting V these days. Suddenly they have covered his feelings. They are not letting that out. His gestures are either cut short or are done with an impassive expression. But they are spontaneous, done from heart. Today it was spontaneous but didn't last long to show show his side. It looks like it is being purposely done to make us believe a version of V, while they build a different story with the extended version.
V gives his justification to Commissioner for accepting the proposal. My question is why was it needed? Why did he need to provide any clarity on his reasons. Yes or No that would have done. To let the other know that she is not the reason.
There is the usual boasting around farz and commitment. And Sai takes a dig at it.
But it is V's response that is a bit confusing. He also taunts Sai that people present in this room know about his commitment to his duty and how he has suffered personally due to those decisions. Yet he regrets none.
Did he mean that the decision to marry Sai led to a lot of problems in his personal life, yet he doesn't regret his decision.
Or he was referring to P. That she caused a lot of problems in his personal life but he stuck to his responsibility and he has no regrets.
When Sai's taunts him, he gets offended. Or he fears that she may decline the proposal? So he throws a googly. He knows Sai will never step down from a challenge. Especially with him at this stage. So he provokes her by saying that you can refuse. So that he will become the bigger person among them. And she accepts to prove him wrong (if there was any doubt in her mind still).
P is suddenly so happy and confident about V. The woman who had openly taunted about V's inability to fulfill his promise with Sai, is now saying that V's word is his life. And she trusts him. WOW!!!
Yeh confidence sirf V ka Sai ki taraf na jaane ka hai ya, V ka P ko fully accept karne ka hai. Samajh nahi aa raha. It feels like she is sure that she will soon have V to herself. But she is on for a surprise. She has to build that trust to be broken and for her to act upon in that insecurity.
So the foundation has been laid.
Precap - I didn't like it for what Sai will be accused off. And most importantly how P came asking for "mera pati Virat kahaan hai". Ab beta nahi chahiye?
