Since I had raised this topic in my thread.. let me answer it .. no it is not an offence .. however school is not meant just for studies that is a typical Indian mindset .. these days children look forward to going to school to interact with their peers ..
Since you have worked in a school .. you must have seen children have extra curricular and co curricular activities .. also the best part of the day is having lunch break and snack break where children everyday and learn to play games on their own .. they also have special days every month where they celebrate festivals or even class birthdays
Savi is a very sharp kid .. but she does seem lonely .. and is spending her life vicariously through vinu .. his school race is an important part of her dream .. yes she wants to be a police officer .. abd she spends her day waiting for her dad and writing in trees .. knowing how lonely she is .. one if the easiest ways would have been putting the child in school .. let her get busy with home work , school projects abd school drama ..
There are many kids who have issues and are unable to cope up to school work .. special needs children .. I have interacted with even those kids who say they miss going to school during lockdown .
Creatives will show that they want to ..l just hope Savi starts attending school very soon
which is the safest place in the world for a kid ? In today's times even home is not as per crime that are out in the open now. But overall the house is .And regarding interactions parents opting for home schooling are not cutting out the child from the world or confine them to stay indoors 24/7. It means grow like a free bird with out any pressure or tension but provide the school education at home that's it and benefit of seeing your child learn ,grow and do things 24/7. You know my mother was from a village and I loved to be there in my holidays entirely 2 and half months of the year and felt like a free bird. My grandparents never tied me down, I would roam in the fields ,in the garden around my gp's house ,visit temple which was on the hill, go to the canal which flowed some 100 metres distance. The people who spent their small bit of life would understand the pleasure of staying there. The savi being shown here ,for fiction sake they have showed her alone. Is the entire kankavli had only savi as a child or only the children who attended the camp were. A child sees and grows with the environment she is in and the absence of a father was prominent.it is stupidity of the makers that they showed savi like that. If a father is not there then he is not there that's all for the kids, they will only see the family through their mother. but overall questioning starts when they grow .Now when do the kids grow and question ?you answer me.
Regarding savi Homeschooling it was good in kankavli because Sai practiced or had a clinic at home only , according to her nagpur is temporary because she wants to shift after vinu's recovery so home schooling continued but when she shifts or takes up a job , definitely she has to put savi in school . But till date homeschooling was right.
And savi wanting to be a police officer, yes she wants to and therefore she used to go to training ground often and Sai also wants her to be what she wants to.Do the people living in a village or people who passout the boards after homeschooling in childhood are not eligible of being police officers when a useless and criminal man like Virat is hailed as best officer and being promoted from ACP to DCP( and for what protecting his criminal family and himself from law and punishment).Only one thing that I like about vankar is he kept the core character and essence of Sai intact and this saves the show . But as a writer he lacks in providing justice to the character and this will ruin the show.
Kids having issues or wanting to go to school as you mentioned only tells how neglected or alone or abandoned they feel at home . Parents should see to it and do you think they would want home schooling for their children. Of course ,no. Right.
