After returning from Lanka, they spend few good days together but the residents of Ayodhya question Sitas integrity. Ram is not convinced yet subjects her to a test by fire. She remains unscathed. But then she vows that she cannot live in this environment where this might be tested again and again and even though she doesn't really blame Ram, she leaves Ayodhya.

Retires to an ashram in forest.

A few years later, 2 twins who have been roaming around the country singing the story of Ram Sita... arrive in Ayodhya and are called to the palace for their performance. They are also very brave and challenge Ram to a duel.

In this performance are questions put forth to Ram why he left his wife? Does his duty to his subjects is more important than his duty to his wife and children?

The subjects, family and Ram all realize the mistake and by the end of it... The kids and Ram meet each other for the first time (Ram was unaware that Sita was pregnant).

Sai is respectfully called to the palace again and everyone requests her to forgive them. But she is adambt that she won't. She doesn't hold any grudge as such but won't live in the place where her respect is not worth.

She requests mother Earth to open up and swallow her, which happens.

(Sita's birth is also said to have happened the same way... she was found in a farmland while digging).

Lav Kush.. The kids then live with Ram and he leaves shortly after (immerses himself in the river... in a way leaving the mortal world)

P.S. saw the episode yesterday quite late. Loved it. Will put review if anyone is interested. Yet to see today.

Thanks for sharing Moor. Only yesterday I was discussing the parallel of Uttarkand with Sadhika. But I was stuck at the fact that Sai give up Savi to V.😭

But yeah, knowing and working the industry ( creative/ marketing) makes us thick-skinned for whatever happens or for that matter whatever crap is dished out in episodes.

If I start putting down things technically in terms of screenwriting, Ghum won't be the same 😆

Rahi baat ram sita and other characters from mythology and ancient scriptures, there's a concept of character archetypes in core screenwriting.

ITV mein character archetypes nahi use hote.

And audience is failing to understand this.

There's absolutely no need to draw vague inferences - Ghum's characters and Ramayana characters.

Dusshera and Ram leela is a marketing agenda to encash on current festivities.

Character archetypes is altogether a different concept. So this debate and outrage of comparison doesn't make sense.

While we may draw inferences on what roles from mythology the characters can assume there can be no direct comparison of core qualities of the characters from mythology and Ghum Or any other show for that matter bcoz they are not character archetypes.

Agree with you on the character archetypes. It is not the character but the situation that is being used as a parallel, and then just placing the characters in those roles accordingly. So there is no comparison with the mythological characters. It is only the the situation. And yes, it just happened yo coincide with Dusshera so they used that concept.

And it is fine till that part. But the problem arises when they actually compare. There are people who are sensitive to the religious references. And comparing a character who is so flawed and has committed crimes will draw wrath from people. This I'm talking about from when P was referred to as Sita sometime back.

Sai takes a promise from Vinu that he will not think about being adopted and accept his family.

While doing so...she twice mentions "aapke Aai baba aapko kabhi chod ke nahi jayenge" but reverts to Mumma Baba aur Mumma Papa when talking about VP.

Was it deliberate... yes it might be... or just another Easter egg left for us to look for.

I am happy and on behalf of Sherry and Sadhika ... I guess they would be too...

Vinu finally promises and accepts VP. They hug it out and Sai looks relieved.

BK Ash Vinu and Saavi UM is unnecessarily inserted.

V tries to apologize and it's interesting how it plays out.

My interpretation is this...

V is guilty, is regretting his words but is thankful how Sai managed to convince Vinu... hamara Vinu and Mera beta make a comeback... he is freely talking initially.... it's mostly his and the family's feelings at this point.

But then he notices P standing there and probably feels she should be included in the conversation too.

And so he fumbles...in addressing their joint pain... "hamara beta aur hamare liye" is said with a lot of hesitation...

P jumps in to complete it for him and V admires Sai when she talks about a child's mind being a clean slate. I wish they showed an FB of him when she had reprimanded him about telling Saavi of marriage anniversary.

He also notices how Sai has accepted him with P and he lowkey admires her sensibility that she has come to the point where she praises P.

Does that mean V has started disassociating himself from P??? No because he calls her his wife in the next scene... does it then imply that V adopted Vinu alone??? Hence the Mera beta? If that's the case.. why did he marry? And if thats the case, is there a marriage even in first place ? 🤣🤣 the adoption is legal but the marriage was not needed 😆😆

Or everything about the marriage is fake and it was P version of events. Or it was staged after all.

Doesn't negate the fact though that V accorded most of the socially dictated rights to P... except right on himself and his body 😔

The photo mishap happens and Sai is asked to join by V.

Looks like it was downplayed... leaked script made it look more intense.

Ram Leela was a bit odd. I didn't expect P to refuse. Didn't expect her to be asked.

So either she has totally reformed or she is over confident and will flip later. But then convincing everyone of her negativity will be a huge task for Sai 🙄.

But if this is KD interpretation then P will make way for Sai... probably she already is doing that by including Sai at every step.

Though I would not excuse the positive turning insecure negative P as of yet.

Vanku is smartly playing her acting prowess it seems... she can't emote and that keeps the confusion alive... everyone keeps guessing and it helps maintain the interest.

Whereas SB could easily convince that Jags has changed, so now there is nothing left for us to look forward to.

Ram Leela is nice... The festive spirit is nicely capitalized by using bits and pieces of SaiRat story and going through FBs. All the words spoken by the narrator fit Sai to the tee.

"Jinke Mann maile the unke shabdo ke prahar abhi baki the" camera pans to BK and P.

Has this already happened or will happen in future? 😭

Sai/Sita leaves and V/Ram attempts to stop her.

Both have flashbacks of their respective last words... but V is still enacting whereas Sai is reliving all that very painfully.

"Mata Sita ne apne Bhagya ko nahi kosa"

How apt... Sai has grown beautifully into a mother .. she has buried those residual feelings and has accepted... V hasn't...

Saavi Vinu as LavKush are super cute.. especially Saavi ke fumbles... and her questions are pointed. While Sita might call Ram Maryada Purushottam... V is not... Sai cannot bring herself to say it. It looks like V is prodding her to complete the dialogue, unaware of the turmoil it is causing her.

Precap has another fumble from Saavi but one which comes from her heart and both the kids meet their father. Sai is inconsolable and it looks like V finally got some hint and noticed her pain.... I hope he asks her... soon... and in clear words 😊

And I also hope Jags should really be the Valmiki who explains this to V... it's high time now 👍🏼

Ayesha is looking stunning especially as Sita.. pure and innocent. ❤️

V seemed to be enjoying playing Ram to his Sai 😉

A few scenes from today that were stirring up suspense. @ Sadhika - Chime in

As you said Moor, Sai constantly flipping from Aai-Baba to Baba-Mumma, did seem odd. Ghum does have natural tendency with such bloopers. But with our radars stuck on the Aai-Mumma reference, it did seem to have a different meaning, which will play out later. Sai-V lost Vinu and this was a promise that he will not leave them again.

Coming to the scene where V thanks Sai. V is apologetic and is seeking forgiveness. But for what? "Maine aaj tak tumse jitni kadvi baatein boli hain." Is this also for his words used before separation? Did he want to say more but then he looked at P and stopped himself? And then P jumps in to complete his "Thank You" as she feels he is hesitating and she wants to do the honours as his wife.

@ Sadhika we spoke about the scene where you felt V is shocked at hearing P jumped in front of the car. Did V see/feel some change in P and he has become more cautious now? And what happened today was an extension of it.

Again, the scene where he says "Yahin meri patni hai" seemed like he said something and meant something. And he called Sai to actually confirm that in a subtle way, to himself. I may be wrong, but I found that the scene was not as direct as it should have been.

I feel there is more defamation and character assassination coming Sai's way which will further strengthen her resolve. Sai has already started to alienate herself from V emotionally too. She may feel sad but it is not as intense as it used to be. So she is on her way to move on from her past completely. Savi is the only link here. And she is no longer that bitter. So JM has to be back and some Kaand has to happen to make make Sai enraged and despise them.

PS - Will we have the infamous "Hug and hand hold" recreation from KKHH again after the play? And this time hug is for P and hand hold for Sai? Sai will jerk his hand away and walk off with V following her after having some doubts. But will see JM consoling her. And hell will break lose after that?

Or we will have P see Sai-V together and then she has a show down?

I watched and rewatched some scenes after reading comments here and I'm not seeing what others are seeing ....I don't see any emotions from V towards Sai ...half the time I cant tell who he's looking at during the discussion on stage about who will play Sita ma....and before that everyone talked about his apology and thank you speech again I didn't see any emotions from him just awkwardness the only time I thought I saw some emotion from him towards Sai was during the play scene ...but again I don't know if those were emotions were as V or because he was playing Ram and was showing emotions as Ram?

The way some of the reviewers and ppl on forum are reading body language and eyes of V I don't see the creatives are that smart or that in-depth with characters

I agree the body language of virat is not that clear .. that he means this for Sai .. . The gulp .. and all..

Also virat has told Vinayak again and again that he , patralekha are his mother n father .. and we 3 will always remain together .during adoption revelation, pizza party , bathroom locking and now kidnapping ..

Due to circumstances of fate .. Sai has slipped away from his hands .. and it is fitting .. when u don’t value the chances given to you earlier .. you only deserve to lose ..

How is that Vs bad behavior is itself used as a justification for his "feelings/love" for Sai. He "loves" her so he says crap to her, treats her badly, has "expectations" from her even though he himself cant even be a decent human being. He has declared P as his wife over and over so it doesn't matter if they had sex or not, and if he has said ILU or not. He has committed to being a family with P. He could not take a stand for Sai. He is not realizing that Sai being alive makes him a bigamist. He never had any guilt, regret about what he put Sai through. But apparently he still "loves" Sai. Ok sure.

Sai ka character assassination is coming. The premonition was there in the skit itself when the narrator explained about Sita facing the same.

And the camera panned to BK and P... 😭😭

I just hope Jags wala MU clears first before V sees them together again and goes back to the hulk mode.
