He wouldnt need to stop her if he hadnt pushed her to leave. because if he realized and regretted the things that led her to leave- he'd never let everyone blame Sai for Vinu and herself dying, rather he'd also see Chavannis and PP as criminals and be angry that they mnaipulated him into saying/doing things that hurt Sai. If he had reflected on what made sai leave, he would never be able to tolerate PP in his life even if he "forgives" her- just like Sai's attitude to JM

Sai has "forgiven" him for her own peace of mind but she can never forget his actions and she can never trust him, see him as a friend. She acknowledges his reformation but thats it. She has banned his entry into her life and has drawn clear boundaries. Whereas V has not. If he had forgiven PP and even felt guilty that he somehow enabled her to lose her bearings and go nuts, he should have reacted by ensuring that she leaves CN and moves ahead in life. How can he trust her and allow her into their life again?! where is the distance....it makes no sense. The woman ruined Sai's life and Sai is dead- gone forever. he lost his wife and child and he still can tolerate her - and whats worse make her his wife now?!

Morever he knows that he should not complicate a shaadi by doing any compormise etc because eventually feelings get in the way -one sided or two sided

He has experienced it with Sai

Thats why V is unforgivable in my eyes.

He learnt NOTHING. No reflection. In all these years he has only felt guilty because Sai and Vinu died but not for WHY and HOW. And now Sai is alive and his guilt has also turned into Sai blame. amazing!

True. Virat is unpardonable. Whatever be his explanation he has betrayed Sai and nothing can change that. Sai does not deserve such a weak, dishonest, emotional cheater person as her life partner

Virat is a very self absorbed person. I don’t know why makers have kept his character like this because to me it doesn’t make sense just because they were simply copying Kusum Dola. There, Rono had only one person whom he would talk his heart out which was Sunny but here Virat is shown to have a very strong bonding with Samrat, very interactive with mom, quite friendly with Shivani Bua and even his Baba to some extent.
Virat’s basic problem is he misses the bus and then reacts later. It’s always about him. He doesn’t consider Sai’s POV when it comes to his reactions. It’s always knee jerk reaction when it comes to Sai. When Pakhi was exposed right before the leap he should have stood firm with Sai and his son against Kaku’s khandaan ki izzat and Patralekha jaap but he chose to go with the flow and joined the majority members of his house. This time Sai was very clear in her stand that you are choosing either between me or Pakhi but yet he went ahead with his choice. Later they had an ugly confrontation. Virat is very non confrontational with everyone else except for Sai. Had he confronted Pakhi with the same intensity when she confessed that she was trying to steal Sai’s husband and kid situation would have been different. Sai’s insecurities would have been addressed as already she had gone through a lot during surrogacy time. Virat never confronted Pakhi for slapping Sai or even pushing her to an extent that she lost her baby. His character traits are very selective. He shows all the anger and aggression only with Sai and even his love isn’t that demonstrative according to me. He did the same during anniversary track when he refused to understand what and why was Sai saying that how can I believe that Pakhi isn’t between us. He did the same thing during Shruti track and only when Sunny made him realize he realized his fault. He’s very selfish that ways and it’s only about him and not Sai.

Sai on the other hand is impulsive and she acts first and thinks later. Sai is flawed too but she doesn’t have that microscopic vision once she calms down she can see the picture in totality. Her advantage and disadvantage are both the same in my opinion and that is she’s emotionally very independent. Since she is emotionally so independent Virat has this insecurity that she’ll leave him any time. Emotionally Sai is way stronger than Virat. However, one thing common between both of them is their ego.
