Its not like Neil cant act well. He has done many convincing scenes where he looks bowled over by her beauty, getting lost in Sai, gives her admiring glances or looks amused by her methods, he even did a cheek kiss and hug in Mahabaleshwar. The problem is lack of consistency and a character arc. He cant make me connect with V's thought process, rationale, dilemma, regrets, hurt etc anymore. Its probably because he merely does scenes in isolation without thinking about what happened before, what may happen later. That's why his performance is very hit/miss. I don't think he was this casual about his performance before in the initial days of the show.

If it's a new development (post his wedding) phir bhi it doesn't make sense. Cz contracts are usually annual.

And if wedding is the issue then I assume even Aish should do something like this. Clause and all. But her scenes with Yogi don't seem as awkward as Sairat.

Also, didn't Neil have any intimate/romantic scenes in his previous shows? Haven't followed much of his work. Curious to know.

Or is this a deliberate matter because of SJ?

Sometimes I feel NB too is not so convinced about V's character arc.

Also as I mentioned in numerous other posts, I don't think makers really gave that space for Sairat to develop. They are not able to handle multiple plotlines at a time tbh.

Yeh problem shaadi se pehle bhi the. Aishwarya doesn't have issues cus she has no issues with Yogi but Neil has with Ayesha.

I have no idea what's the issue .one can jump into any conclusions given the obvious coincidence..

I have seen Neil's first show gulal.. As much as I could recall he was more intimate with his leading lady back then.. .thoygh don't know about his other shows..Because never really followed this actor until Ghum..

Recent lahu muh lag gaya was for fans request ..may the actor and CD wanted to prove a point.. But came out so meh..

Camera angle ,acting, script everything is so disjointed..

However TRP can not be the parameter to judge a good show.. What a shame this show wasn't even nominited even being in number two positions..

Today episode is the proof how inconsistent they are?? Serious issues were sliced within a matter of one sequence...10 years of gap solved with ten minutes.. 🤢Rajiv ditched her and didn't even bothered to pick up her calls which led her to commit suicide but all those bitterness and pain got resolved within a jiffy 🤪.

If Rajiv - Shivani matter was for to reflect Sairat then Virat didn't get any monologues.. If Shivani could forgive Rajiv so easily didn't Sai also forgave him for him non pardonable deeds??

You call that a cheek kiss? His lips barely just touched her cheeks, it wasn't even a peck or it landed. Many of hugs were super awkward some were decent. He can never romance or kiss Ayesha properly in scenes where Aishwarya has to be present or she'd watch them from behind or secretly. Issa fact.

Neil had no such issues in any of his previous shows cus he didn't have his partner on set working on same project together where he had to romance another woman on-screen in her presence... He better not get any work post Ghum it's my manifestation.

Going by KD, rono doesn’t touch or hug her! Only time he comes too close is after suicide when he breaks down. There is so much longing but he waits. That’s why Emon/sai can’t understand. @msin said emon Atleast sensed rono’s attraction. Here I m not sure whether sai knows virat’s attraction. her issue as a woman would be why doesnt he touch her if not for his commitment? See the friction? That’s how insecurities build in emon/sai and she was stuck on commitment.

It is virat’s zidd that she should chose him and hence he will not take next step. And this is not helping in bringing down walls in sai. Rather reinforcing them.

Laddoo, kiss attempts should not be counted. Going by KD they did not happen. During the Harini kiss time also I raised this topic that they should not make virat do all this but not able to confess ?!! It looks strange.

As far as physical proximity is concerned, these scenes work because they are closer in terms of distance.

But yes, even I had felt it especially in ep 200 wala kiss, that he is terming it as a gift without her consent, without checking if she wants it... so anyway I was always glad that Pakhi interrupted them.

For Holi, Chipkali it looked like Sai could have given in if it had happened.

The kiss attempts used to confuse me too...I mean how can the involved parties brush off significant moments like that...once can mean getting carried away...but it happened twice or thrice.

Anyways, I guess Sai now understands that Virat was attracted to her all along.

the distance and inability to confess from rono side was driving him crazy. He started getting frustrated with emon’s constant obsession with RK. The tempo was there till confession. You can see there is no peace in them. But here suddenly the track becomes comedy and dragged. And now sruthi track pushed it so much that people are expecting a small separation for them to bring the angst factor. You see ?
