Ghum vs KD ( side stories omitted)

Yesterday in my thread .. I wanted to discuss one more thing but left it ..There is one important lesson which has been neglected in Ghum .. which weakens the story

Kusum Dola has been written well no doubt about it .. abd Ghum using it has benefited tremendously.. with even poor direction , sub par acting .. stretched plots .. it still manages to excel in trp charts

One big omission is the separation plots

In kusum dola emon particularly is introduced to a lot of lady characters who influence her .. and guide her with their life stories

First is her mother in law who has had a strained relationship with her husband for years and years .. there is so much bitterness ..

Labu pishi who has never been married flits from one bad relationship to another in search of mate abd family

Komo pishi who has been separated from her lover for 30 years .. she tells emon reopeatedly life without husband is not worth living .. this part is done beautifully in ghum through Devyani ( period is reduced to 10 years )

Then koli di who split with her boyfriend for 20 years .. on MU .. her spinster life is dry n lifeless though she has a job .. she goes to work and comes back abd lives with her family .. colourlesz

Madhuparna and shramanjit..separated for 10 year. this is still interesting .. madhuparna is a successful lawyer and she meets her ex in court frequently ..but her life is still empty .. when she reunites with him .. she tries her level best to make emon understand life is empty without your mate

These ladies all influence emon somehow that only one true mate can be your life partner .. and your life is incomplete without him .. that’s one of the reason she can never look beyond Rono . Even though they split up many times ….. last time for 5 years. she goes back to him .. as her life is incomplete without him

This part has not been dealt so well in Ghum …only Devyani was done .. and maybe ashwini part ..

So subconsciously everyone is telling her that you cannot live alone and be happy.

Gaslighting of different kind. No wonder a young girl like her is influenced.

Shivani seems to be a combination of Labu Pishi and Koli
