Omicron where I live in NY is crazy. Despite every precaution people are getting ill because its very contagious. Thankfully its largely upper respiratory and not making most people too sick unless they have other high risk comorbidities. Most people only have mild flu symptoms- recover super fast. Infact CDC even cut the isolation requirements grom 10 days to 5 days. But due to the volumes of the people getting it, the hospitals are in surge situation again- not as bad as before but still pretty bad.

Aise main when I see people blatantly flouting precautions and norms its infuriating.

When I saw them introduce new characters and have a kid on the set itself, my first reaction was - why?! I had even posted that on the forum. This was not needed in covid situation.and my fears have been proved right. I anticipate that we will soon hear of more cast/crew also testing positive. 😥

The makers and cast/crew need to remember that have a larger social responsibility too. Its not cool that everything is always a late reaction from them or only followed when government imposes s curgew or something extreme like that. When the cases started going up, they should have imposed stricter rules on their sets immediately. They instead are throwing parties. They had unvaccinated children on the set including a baby (Sahaas) in the past few weeks. So clearly they lack common sense.

Getting covid in young people is just like getting the flu. No big deal. But by walking around maskless , crowding has public health implications. Plus its doing NO favors to themselves coz its their show that will suffer if many people need to be home on isolation.

Hope she gets well soon and is back in action when she is able.

I wish we'd stop with antiquated fumigation etc and just focus on the most critical aspect- EDUCATION. Wear a goddam mask and it's time now to ditch the cloth masks and wear at least a KN95. The data is clear- you breathe next to someone shedding the virus, you get Covid. It's less about sterilising surfaces etc- the virus doesn't live that long on surfaces to warrant that. You want to do all that- fine, it will probably keep things much cleaner than before so it's a good thing, but it's not going to help much with Covid unless you can fumigate people's airways.

They need to procure rapid antigen tests en masse and test everyone coming to work everyday or every other day based on some protocol. All workplaces which need to have people coming in on a regular basis need to do this. It's not easy because there are procurement issues but that's a good way forward. Better (and less expensive) than some bio-bubble in Goa.

We have seen how irresponsible they are when we saw no masks on anyone's face in that party they had . Here we canceled all Christmas , new year get togethers even in outdoor situations because of the risks involved and these guys are all standing around maskless. Bewakufon ko kya hi bolsakte hai🙄

Yes, we've all made many sacrifices over the past 2 years and it's frustrating to say the least to see the casual attitude towards mask wearing. I know they can't wear it while shooting for a scene but it should be on at all other times whenever possible. Minimise the risk as much as possible- it really works.

This is a public health issue- take one for the team and be responsible guys!

in India lot of rural people are with the assumption that if they get vaccine they will not be infested with covid , media need to make them aware that no matter what they need to use mask.
