Exactly as expected when Mohit declares that Virat claimed he was married to shruti, pp n bk have blamed Sai for it all saying she couldn't become biwi so he found someone else.
Sai is stunned. It doesn't help that everyone is filling her ears. But I DO wish she had asked him for an explanation one last time before her outburst.
Today Omis dialogue to virat was the perfect retort though.
Virat says- why would i give my real identity if I waa hiding things and Omi counters saying- dont think we are stupid to not know you need ID proof in hotels.
Anyway Sam, Pulkit gave him a chance to provide an explanation but even then we got nothing. But we dont even a more forceful sentence that shows his helplessness at not being able to tell them. He was so blank in his body language that there's no desperation in him to see how Sai is feeling, no monologue given by makers to shoe his regret for Sai's self respect getting shattered by this. He says he wont do anything to hurt her self respect but this matter coming out in the open when she as a wife is unaware already tarnishes that aatma samman.
Sai today only reacts after Virat got enough opportunity to provide some clarification. Any clarification. Anything. But we get none.
When Ninad starts raising a question on Shruti's character, i wanted to tell him that - if he thinks his son is guilty then he should comment on Virats character first before some random woman he does not know
Sai does get FBs of all the times Virat has stood up for her and raised his voice for her even against the rules/customs of his family because he was doing the "right" thing and you can see her struggle to come to terms with why he is so protective of Shruti.
Sai is so so broken. She has no idea what to believe anymore. She would never in her wildest dreams thought that he would keep her in the dark about something so big.
It's heartbreaking the way she breaks down saying- why did you ask me to miss you when you left, why did you seem ok with me moving back into your room, why did you give me the impression that.....but she leaves the rest unsaid.
But her mindvoice says- why did you make me feel like you loved me as your wife.
The only worthwhile moment is when Virat tells PP to stfu, not provide special counselling and not to put petrol in fire and that she doesn't have the haq to ask him anything, only Sai does. But this is too little too late. He never spoke with this tone and this much conviction at many opportunities in the past - thus making Sai feel like a 3rd person and now unfortunately Sai is way too insecure to give him any more "benefit of doubt" after having given many chances to getting on track to having a real marriage....
Because in Sai's eyes as hopeful as she was of asking him if he did see her as a wife and getting a positive response, she fuly believes that it is possible for him to find love outside their marriage because he may never see her as a wife. That is her biggest insecurity. She has battled it for long and now she has no strength to reason out what may make Virat hide things, why he'd feel the need to call somebody else as HIS wife.
When Virat tells her that he would never cheat or do anything to harm the maan of their relationship Sai does listen. She didnt scoff at him or negate him but she got triggered again when she heard that not even his own parents trusted his story. When he used the word biwi referring to Sai while talking to pp she suddenly remembers that he has also referred to Shruti as his wife. And thats what she says- kaayke biwi, when you have attached your name as a husband to another woman.
As sad as I am about Sai not confronting him one last time about why he did what he did, I'm also upset at how insensitively Virat brings up her speech again even after this major revelation of him playing husband to another- makes it come across as if - tum bhale hi mujhse rishta na rakho, value na karo, trust na karo, I always value you n keep the maryaada n sanctity of our marriage. Thats definitely not true. He has erred many times before forgeting that she is his WIFE and now his claim isnt really valid when he has violated the bond of transparency that they had where they expected full disclosure from each other about important things in life by virtue of being each others spouse AND best friend. He has given Sai barely any hints also to make her suspect thar there maybe more to the story.
The attempt to whitewash Virat eventually is obvious from the way the episode was directed and written. Even before people can register the revelation, accusations are being hurled. Not even Virats parents had a moment of pause. So that shows that eventually the whitewash will be major. Everyone will be crying buckets for misunderstanding the mahaan virat and not being able to show faith n confidence in him.
Episode was a major let down in terms of dislogues, direction, tehraav.
The initial reaction of Sai literally stunned into silence and no reaction is very realistic but her outburst is NOT well performed as I was coming to expect from Ayesha. I felt let down. It seemed very superficial..
Virat was completely flat throughout. There is absolutely no anguish or despair seen in his body language to want to clarify things but not be able to divulge much. He doesn't even seem to register how shattered Sai must feel to hear that he has spent time in a hotel room with a woman whom he registered as his wife. Even when MB says- ok you went to hotel, you must have some valid reason, Sai looks at him with hope waiting for an explanation but got none.
Today Virat got wrongfully accused of infidelity - Yes. But i still cant sympathize with him, connect with him because he is guilty of idiocy, insensitivity, illogical and illegal actions/behavior.
The acting from both leads was subpar. Especially Virat but today even Sai did not fully deliver the goods
