Its been a long time since I made a post here. Thanks to the amazing progressionđ
So what is it about this twisted love story between jealousy and distrust. They are soul mates, one merging into another, yet they are different.
Does Sai doubt Viratâs character and vice versa? Nope. I donât think so. In a more calmer situation if a third person had made such allegations these two would have vouched their lives and fought to defend each other. So no it is not lack of trust.
It is the pure jealousy. And its natural in any relationship, how much ever secure one is, one is bound to feel a tad bit of it at some stage. And it is harmless if its not leading to any actions and repercussions. But what has escalated the situations is the insecurity of losing the person due to lack of clarity on relationship status. They havenât confessed, they still need validation on their marriage status from each other, they need the commitment. It a murky state where they have a right to question yet they feel frustrated to voice it as they doubt their own right on each other. Because if this is a deal then they have no claim on each other and the thought is hurtful
Ajinkya vs Shruti episode
Without getting into the aspect of an IPS helping a naxalite, if we only look at the humane side of it Virat is only trying to help her owing to guilt and on humanity grounds. He is stuck in his own web and is feeling suffocated with the weight of this secret. But then how much ever pure his intentions are, its his actions/decisions and he needs to take responsibility of it. Here he has done things to trigger doubts, lying, hiding things etc, unlike in Ajinkya episode, where Sai had done nothing. In fact Virat was angry even before he saw them together in the room. Just at the mention of them together had made him charge towards his room. But here he has given Sai enough reasons to question him. Imagine how frustrated a partner would be if he/she faces such situations and the other person is not willing to divulge any information. Itâs not distrust on the person, but its curiosity to know the truth and get clarity on the situation. But most of all the about the trust on each other to share everything. What would have been Viratâs reaction if the tables were turned, knowing his possessiveness about Sai? This would have been way too much for him to take. For Sai this feeling is new, she had started to finally hope for a future with Virat, and she had allowed her heart to open up to that thought. Hence she is scared, now even more since she has let her guards down. Here she is jealous of someone being more important in his life than her and that Virat is no longer willing to share things with her even in the domain as her friend.
While both situations can be compared yet they are not comparable. If we expect one person to understand the otherâs situation because of the past, we canât. Because the incident and the magnitude of it is at different levels. Sai had cleared that Ajinkya is her friend, Virat has mentioned Shruti as his friendâs wife. Fair enough even if it was when DIG cornered him. A friend can come to meet a friend, but why would a friendâs wife keep calling someone everyday and the guy also runs out at odd hours without giving any details on his whereabouts. You are creating situations for others to doubt and question.
And most of all Virat is all victim mode. He may be good at heart and do things for others selflessly, but he is flawed when it comes to understanding others. If he hurts someone his first reaction is self pity. He gets locked in his own shell of his feelings and his helplessness and his intentions. He keeps it all about how he never meant it and how he was misinterpreted and wronged. He fails to see the pain of the other at such points.
So even if he is trying to help a pregnant helpless widow, Sai canât be blamed. Itâs his actions and he needs to take the responsibility of whatever is in store. But unfortunately it will be Sai who will come out as the immature, possessive, unreasonable wife. She will be labelled as the distrusting and inconsiderate one and bear all the consequences of his actions. And thatâs unfair!!
