Yes of course.

Would be the greatest show of all time if:

- Sai went to Pulkit's house to stay in school

- Simultaneously built a domestic violence case against IPS officer Virat Chavan (along with obstruction of justice for letting Omkar's obvious bribery attempt go)

- Built a kidnapping and attempted murder case against the elders

- Sent an a letter to an already suspicious Samrat, warning him of Pakhi's duplicity.

Destroy House Chavan. Feed the snakes what they deserve.

scholarship money for a marriage that is a deal for a man she has no feelings for at all. It was nice coincidence after disrespecting the hell out of Virat and cursing for surprising her for anniversary in front of his brother and bestfriend and she ran away and boom bumped into Samrat. And Devil Virat is still

mad cause he's not happy Samrat is alive and back. 😭

But what has Sai done to show her love for Virat. NOTHING

Anyway Virat didn't take care Sai when she tried to commit suicide or helped her when she was kidnapped and maybe would've even lost her honor. Virat hasn't taken care of Sai at all, surprise her for her birthday, make sure he give or do little the things her father used to do so she doesn't miss him as much.

So I guess Sai is a liar, when she says Virat has done so much for her and taken care of her. Hmmm

Virat that devil, is good they both don't love each other and she left oh wait

did he pushed Sai down that hole too. Damn

As for all the other stuff you listing I'm not even going to waste my time to relitigate.

Because they're indefensible. Buying a cake doesn't negate actual physical and 24/7 emotional abuse.

Sai is going by what Virat has told her - he doesn't have room for anyone else in his heart, that their marriage is indeed a deal, and has never said anything to negate that. Even his actions are inconsistent for her to read, given his allowance of Pakhi to interfere in their matters and insult, and twice catching him (at least) in compromising situations with her, where he refuses to explain what happened in full.

And yet we're supposed to expect Sai to mindread that Virat actually loves her (itself debatable) despite abusing her and offsetting every nice thing he does with 50x more sh*tty things.

There was no relitigate cause I had already posted in another reply that I don't justify Virat or defend since I been in the forum watching this show for over a year.

Look your want to see Virat is the devil and Sai is saint that's fine. There journey is together, there's no Sai without Virat and vice versa.

Me I'll continue to criticize Sai when I see fit, like I do with Virat when it's justify.

I'm an Equal Opportunity Criticizer

On the one hand, I agree - it's just a show.

But then I worry that if this show enjoys high TRP, then a toxic message - i.e. the normalization (and celebration) of domestic abuse and the problematic preference of a woman's behavior as docile and submissive - is sent out to millions of young women (and men), which further entrenches anti-feminist sentiment and regressiveness in society.

If we have the ability to speak out against this, maybe they'll listen and change, and maybe in our small way, we're pushing forward the empowerment of women.

I have no preference on characters for their own sake. Only their actions.

"Both sides are at fault" is like saying a crime victim is partly responsible for it because of what they said/wore/did. And I say no - once someone crosses the line into abuse/violence, it doesn't matter what could've led up to it. The crime/abuse/violence is now the only story that matters.

Where did that come from, I hope you're just posting that to make some other point cause that

can't be apply to me. 😆

It is not just a show. Just as films & TV mirror society, they also influence society. Hence, while showing the reality of male chauvinism, domestic violence, double standards etc is ok, romanticising & normalising these as passionate love or family values is not ok.

We see it that way. The business doesn't, sadly.

What did the showmakers do? Added one dialogue for Samrat saying this is domestic violence. That also went under carpet in the whole drama. The point was domestic violence was shown, it was raised in one dialogue and khatam.

After, all this eventually Sai is coming back to Virat. So what message does this give to women?

And the unfortunate thing also is that many women don't even realise that locking up is abuse.
