With everything negative in the show, it's hard to talk about something positive.

But despite everything, you've made an effort to be as unbiased and neutral as possible while talking about Virat, so kudos to you for that👏

But for me personally, Virat is gone. He has hit the lowest level possible and it is important to like him now.

Virat always has this habit of wallowing in self-pity. It is always I, Me and Myself with him. He doesn't stop to think about how his actions or a particular situation can affect others. I hate it when he does something to create an uncomfortable situation, and gets pissed off when someone calls him out for it.

Even during the anniversary scenario, though Sai did go a bit too overboard with her words and her actions, I can still understand where she is coming from, because Virat never bothered to clear the past mess, but expects her to move on.

And this indifference and ignorance drama is getting to me now, because he is behaving like a jilted lover who was rejected or abandoned for no reason, when he was the root cause for it in the first place.

Also, I personally feel that Virat gets off the hook too easily for everything that he has done, and he has done far worst things to Sai - like ousting in the middle of the night, manhandling, denying food, character shaming, and all he has to do is shed a few tears, and everyone forgets everything he has done, including Sai.

Also, with this Samrat - Virat situation, Virat has washed his hands off the scene, and handed it over completely to Pakhi. He did what he does best - pass the baton.

@green This is the problem. He doesn’t even realise or think that he should fix this when he put such ideas and confusion into her head through his words, his actions and through his friendship with his ex.

@blue I have always had a mixed feeling about it. It was as if he would keep making mistakes and apologising and make another one. I have always wanted to see if this changes. I do agree that people make mistakes but I don’t know how to perceive this as.

I am not happy with Virat Samrat situation. He probably thinks that he has done his part but I don’t understand how he thinks that it is that simple. It would be really stupid if he believes that Pakhi has really given a chance to her and Samrat’s relationship.

Virat's biggest issue is self victimization and self consumption. Take any track and its about him...Even in the hospital when he meets Sai he talks about she should not have run away, I will apologise, I will make it right, dont talk about it, can we stop talking about it... The whole family was so enthusiastic about the whole festival and this man is busy wallowing in his own mess...Is his "Dukh" bigger than Sai.. She would be having her memories with her aaba in every festival..She is in a family enjoying trying to be happy where half of them dont even care, if she would be dead or alive.. And all he thinks about is mere sath kya hua hai...Its not just today, it always happens.. Be indifferent , but with Sai not the whole world.. He can still show his hurt towards Sai but in a dignified manner.. Sulking all the while is not what is needed here...He has wronged Samrat and that's a fact... But nahi, apna dukh sabse bada dukh..

Waha Samrat k jeewan mei khatarnak vehni ko daal diya, uske dukh ka soch bhai...

I really don’t know what they would be showing us. I just hope that they show something sensible in Ghum. If they copy KD, nothing would make sense.

Really appreciate you making this post on such characters. Offlate, everything on this show has gone downhill and the makers don't care because they have TRPs on the rise. Virat was far far more sensitive and empathetic when he was introduced. He has been reduced to acting like a jilted lover now, which I'm really not able to appreciate. This week's episodes especially have been really unbearable. Anyways, congratulations to the team for their success but it's sad to see an interesting premise gone to the dogs thanks to pathetic writing and shitty execution.

Yeah, the show is going downhill. They could have made Sai’s realisation track really interesting but they failed to. It is all too jumbled up.

They continue to get good trps despite their pathetic work and I believe that is why they don’t even try to improve.

Are the writer's confused? Are they unsure about whether they want to go for a Virat who realises that his wife needs space to understand her own feelings or go for the Virat who acts like a jilted lover and is beyond obnoxious in his so called ignorance and believes this behaviour is best suited for them. If this behaviour is best suited for them how on earth will a woman realise Love as an emotion in this environment?

I think they are super confused in letting Virat continue as a character of his own or just go with toxic copy/paste which doesn't suit Virat as a character at all but is working very well to base in terms of TRP's.

He's been written so beautifully in the start, I wish they built up on him and only him to make Sairat's journey relatable and less toxic.

I think that is to show his confusion. He feels that Sai is getting affected due to him and Pakhi for a reason but at the same time he is not able to accept her denial. He also feels that may be this is all just his assumption and in reality probably Sai will be happy without him being around. That is again because of how Sai potrays it to him by acting indifferent or wears her mask and covers up things.

@bold That is exactly where he is failing big time. It is okay to act indifferent but it doesn’t stop with that.

I don’t think it is an issue with the copy paste here. Virat has been like this and fails to understand certain things. He doesn’t really think much and needs a push many a times.

At the start, he was someone who didn’t have expectations from Sai, so it looked all nice. But now he has become a lover, a husband who craves for her attention, for her love and hence he is getting lost. He is lacking perspective now.

Yeah, I was okay until now that he was sad and expressing his hurt even though I wasn’t happy with a few things he did. But now, he is acting too self absorbed, not willing to think about anyone else which doesn’t seem right. People can get hurt and can get gloomy but Samrat has returned after an year and this was something he and his family have been waiting and praying for it to come true. Shouldn’t he be thinking these? I wish he starts to think these.

He seems to understand that Sai has something for him and hasn’t realised it yet but doesn’t seem to understand that his past is what is stopping her from accepting their relationship. He should understand that she would be affected by him and Pakhi and change his behavior so as to not hurt her. Would he have been okay if Sai had someone like this in her life . He can’t think other’s position somehow.

Probably he needed some space and some time to re evaluate everything but sai didn't allow him 😆 The silence keeps piling up along with the frustration . It would be good if he took this transfer and they had a leap of 6 months or 1 yr ..

I don’t understand how he can be so gloomy all the time especially at the time of the festival and his family is so happy and excited to have Samrat back.

May be he needs time but I feel this is a time where he is supposed to be thinking about Samrat and his family. Is it not for these people that he had even let Pakhi go in the past? He tends to get drowned in his misery like this and I don’t know if this would ever change.

I agree, Virat's writing have been played with massively..I mean even I am confused, one day he says he is hurt and he would never forgive Sai for his insult, next day he says why dont you see my feelings, why dont you understand me and then again next day he says I dont know if you would even realise "your" feelings for , I was going away so that you understood, what it is to stay from your onw people and then again next day when asked to give some time to Sai to realise things, he says no I am going away... What are they trying to do..ROno atleast was constant , when it came to EMon not understanding his feelings, he wanted his love to be reciprocated.

I agree Asmi. This has been his character trait and has been really annoying. It can’t continue like this always.

It didn’t make sense for him to say that she shouldn’t have run away. Was he apologising or justifying? People were saying it was an issue with the dialogues but no, there are people like that. Some people are like that.

Even when Samrat was missing, Mansi bua joined many occasions graciously. She was also sad, heartbroken and it will be understandable even if she sulks like this. This guy lacks perspective and I have just replied to another member.

@bold Exactly and rather than feeling guilty, he is feeling bad for himself all the time that people misunderstand him. I don’t deny that he is getting misunderstood but not the entire thing is a misunderstanding.

Does he really think that his hurt and his position is more worse than Samrat’s? He has not even given a thought about how even Samrat would be upset with everything. Nothing has become alright in his life yet. This is not the end of the world. He has a family who loves him and always supports him whether he is right or not. They didn’t even question him when Samrat shared that he left the house because his own brother hurt him? Does he even realise the support his family has been extending in this bad time of his? They all question Sai but not him even now and she is trying to lighten up everyone’s mood, trying to lift everyone’s spirits whereas he is sulking.

Ha, even I'm confused at the monologues given to him. Too conflicting and confusing for me. But Laksh has quoted a nice explanation for it in the previous page. I still don't understand what he really hopes to achieve through his actions though. He's probably just too righteous and thinks whatever decisions he makes are for the greater good for all which again was his biggest mistake originally starting with the Vaada.

His monologues are spinning bigger jalebis now😆
