Everyone needs family and support system at some point of time in life . I don’t know why taking help from family is seen as being weak . Like someone mentioned , the harsh reality of life cannot be changed in a day or by ignoring it and the truth is certain section of society is targeted . If the show wants to showcase the reality then I have no issue .Women and even men are vulnerable at times and it’s the truth . Staying alone is not the sign of strong individual. Everything cannot be seen as women vs men

I seriously don't understand what you're trying to say? Being molested will make her realise she's in love in Virat, are you trying to say that?

You misconstrued everything. Nobody said one will be deemed weak to take help from one's family, all we're saying is, a forced family only for so-called protection and not for love, is just stupid. Women are not commodities to pass around families like that. It's high time we shift from this utterly seixst outlook.

Forcing a girl to stay with a family/person just for protection, that idea is sexist. Of course a girl can and should take help from HER family whenever she needs.

And multiple articles have been written how molestation is used as a plot device for various female characters, that's all. This plot wouldn't be bad if it's executed with sensitivity, I hope they do this right.

I am not sure where the forced family came into picture . Sai herself wants to stay with the family and the family has some genuine people who has and will support her when needed . I am not saying one needs to be tied down to stay safe . All I am saying is if being with family helps Sai and makes her feel secure then she should be with them . Most of the times having a supportive family and understanding spouse will help victims of any crime to overcome their trauma easily .

Staying and fighting alone is not needed if she has an option of staying with loved ones and taking their help . By doing so she won’t become a weak individual. That’s what I wanted to convey

I hope you know the initial storyline of the show?

Either you recognise or not, the relationship and the family was forced on her. She never wanted to marry or move to chavan house.

Though it's a different case that she found few genuinely loving people in the family. Also, I hope you've not forgotten the abuse the ML and his family has done to her. Did she chose this? Nope.

So forced family concept is definitely relevant here, anybody likes it or not. And like I specified in my previous replies, I was not talking about sairat specifically.

Sairat situation, their marriage was unwanted but still their story has a lot of nuance to be summed up so easily. She's in love with the man, has accepted the family so they are her family. She can and should take her support of course.

I was more of talking about the general motion held by the society, that a woman needs a man's or a family's protection to live, she's can't survive on her own as utterly sexist. Kindly do not mix both things.

I hope you are still watching the show . Lot of things have changed from initial episodes. Sai has an option of walking out today but she choose to stay back I will repeat she choose to stay back with her husband and his family . It’s her choice and no one is forcing her to stay back or accept the relationship. Today’s episode is a biggest proof that she is stopping her husband and it’s her choice . Forced family and marriage is no longer valid

The post was not directed at anyone but spoke about the importance of family so kindly don’t misquote .

Umm didn't I say the same thing lol.

Read my previous reply, I'll quote what I wrote,

"Sairat situation, their marriage was unwanted but still their story has a lot of nuance to be summed up so easily. She's in love with the man, has accepted the family so they are her family. She can and should take her support of course."

Lol doesn't this make things clear? As I said, this started as forced but has evolved into something much more. She obviously will decide to stay back because she thinks of them as her own. Simple.

@bold you literally mentioned sairat in the post but okay 😆

I guess we can rest the discussion here. Thanks

no it's not about just the realisation, she has so many bottles up emotions inside her, and it needs a push to open up, so may be this will push her to her emotional outburst her insecurities and all that in front of the person she is comfortable to share with and it has to be virat. Realisation of love will come afterwards, she needs an outburst.

Idk man, I think the biggest push one would need to realise their love for someone is to see them in danger. An accident or just any incident where Virat was hurt would make more sense.

I seriously don't understand how being molested makes one relaise they love someone, I think you're hinting at the care virat will direct at Sai after the incident will make her realise right?

Well in sense, it does make sense but I don't want poor sai to go through anymore trauma than she already has
