Ashwini is a good mother-in-law to Sai, not a mother.

Ashwini might be a good person but she is one of those indian ladies whose entire life revolves around their son. They have no other identity except being someone's wife/mother.

Sometimes I feel the only reason she accepted Sai when Virat first came home with her was because the rest of the family wasn't accepting her, to against all of them she accepted and later on understood that Sai is a good person.

I don’t agree .. virat had already married a young girl … and looking at the tragic situation… she did the right thing by making things easier for virat and Sai and accepting them .. it also helped her accept the pakhi relationship with virat which was worrying her .. bring Sai in was a way to ward off pakhi ..

Ashwini was not wrong she had sensed this pakhi virat relationship will sour the relationship with samrat … and it happened exactly like that ..

Kaku and ninad scolded her publicly … but now have they apologised to her ..

Ashwini is a nice person who cares about every person in the house she has never wished I’ll for pakhi , Kaku or Sonali who misbehave with her ..

She still serves pakhi tea .. she’s of the conservative mindset who feels husband wife should stay together..

She genuinely feels Sai is the right girl for her son and she’s right .. no decent woman can overlook her child’s happiness over any other ..

If virat had come out and said he loves pakhi before samrat shadi she would have tried to sort the matter .. but he didn’t .. and virat himself has never shown a lot of interest to pakhi .. if anything she can sense her son is attracted to his wife only and has accepted her .. so she’s doing the needful..

She’s the only person aside from Sunny who has guaged virat loves Sai and has a lot of expectations from her but is not getting that .. because Sai is still not on the same page that’s why she tries to tell Sai to look into her marriage because she feels in the old school way .. once Sai starts accepting virat as a husband .. pakhi will get the message and accept the status quo ..

She is the woman who said Virat and Sai had unbun and Sai left the house! Instead of saying Virat threw Sai out of the house 🤪

So zero expectations from her!

Agree with you.. She is affectionate towards all.. She knew from the very beginning about Virat had a soft corner for Pakhi.. So once she saw sai she felt that this girl could bring things into place...Any good mother wont approve such relationship what Virat had shared with Pakhi....Her priority is always has been her son then anything for Sai.. So as a mother it's quite obvious she would put her sons happiness above Sai's.. She could sense something is off.. Virat is NOT the guy who would disconnect himself from everything.. Even during Samrat's marriage he still would make a point to involve himself with family matters..

But I don't agree that she cares for Sai more than her own son.. Her care and love for Sai only as a good mother in law.... She always takes stands for Sai whenever Virat does something stupid but later she would beg Sai to rethink on Virat's actions.. Like all mother she too wants his son to be happy with his lady love..

Yes no mother can do that .. love somebody else above her own child … very difficult
