Been watching GHKPM for a while now.

WHY does Virat tolerate how his aunt, his father, etc treat his mother? His mom is so kind and sweet; how can he stay silent and see her treated that way?

Either he is also manipulated OR he is just unable to see how wrong his so called kaku and baba are.

He has a huge partriarchal upbringing. He saw her mom being treated like this and may be because of their position in the house, he couldn't speak up. Because Ninad never treated Virat the same like he treats now. You can see in the Janmasthami FB, he was literally stern with Virat. I don't know why he can't speak up for her because he's now the influential member of the family, i.e. the sole earner of the family. He has a huge non-confrontational nature. He respects Kaku, Omi and Ninad and can't say anything to them. He tries to avoid confrontation with his family.

One of the major things in this serial, I want this. Virat standing for his Aai. Because in Original counterpart, though Rono was never close to his mom, he stood up for her once, the time didn't come but he stood up

I am also turning into a TRP aunty looks like because I liked today's episode!!

It was heart warming to see Virat performing the rituals for his sister. More importantly, Virat getting the confidence to act as he wants, as he spontaneously feels like with his sister and her husband who eloped against the will of the elders of the family.

I had a feeling that Sai wanted to do these rituals for Virat so that he could feel included in the happiness of his sister's life. But I thought I should wait and watch. Sai's explanation was lovely. And someone can still convince themselves that she doesn't care for Virat?? He is her life, but she has decided to stay away from him, despite that. I hope the CVs delve further into Sai's psyche.

Virat looked so happy throughout today. These two are fit to be together. Vastly different personalities but their innate values are the same. That's why they are pulled towards each other. Now I really hope Virat also understands Sai's insecurity with Pakhi.

Same cannot be said for Patralekha. Her ego is preventing her from seeing what is important for Virat..his sister, his mother.

I enjoyed Sonali and Karishma today...I wish they give us more of their running commentary, it breaks the monotony of the high pitched drama.

Last but not the least, Aai's validation as an esteemed member of the family. She deserved it. Ninad had to look down in shame.

This serial is regressive, but some scenes like this indicate a change in thinking within the family. Or at least the beginning of a change.

Of course, tomorrow we will be back to Kaku who is not going to give in without a fight.

that was what was necessary in this episode the official shit of virat to stand up against his family and not turn a blind eye to their behaviour!

Oh i so wanted that scene, to see him walking towards his sister. He was guilty for not being a part of the wedding and i must say what they showed was very nice. He wanting to welcome his sister actually says how much he agreed with Sai's plan though he was initially skeptical about it.

This is the progression, slow paced but its there.
