Why was divorce never brought up?

Disclaimer: This is just a neutral post. I am not trying to defend anyone here. Just a genuine question about an obvious thing that was mistakenly/ purposely avoided by makers.

About Virat, I get it, he obviously didn't want it. But what about Sai? Why didn't she brought up the divorce part? She clearly said at the end that she doesn't want him to wait for her, then why not go the legal way here? There might be plenty of reasons here which I might try to state:

• It was a blooper from the creative's end.

• They might bring it up in the upcoming episodes.

Now from the story's perspective:

• They never legalised their marriage as it was just a deal

• Deep down Sai knows that she might want to go to him one day😒

I can only gather these many. Feel free to add further😊

they talk about everything but the most important tool that needs to break a relationship completely and legally is not even brought into the discussion that is 'Divorce' or 'Annulment' since nothing physical happen b/w them

just by saying 'main sai rishta todta hoon'...'yeh mera pati nahin', 'main wapas nahin aahunghi' doesn't break a relationship for god sake take it to the court and file for divorce or annulment than break the relationship and go separate ways

they fought about everything but did not even mention divorce to go separate ways

One of the thing I can think of is, if they separate legally cvs won’t know how to take forward the Ghum story!

It’s a copy paste of KD 🙁

In the original divorce is brought up later during the Shruti (another woman whose zimmedari Virat takes track).

Sai files for divorce. They have a daughter at that time too.

God I hope they don’t bring that bs track here

actually after divorce they can have a story too and the process of falling in love all over again b/w a IPS officer and a well known doctor who are ex husband-wife but the concept will totally deviate from the remake and it will become a different story and they need to scrap C-🤡and didi rocks tracks

When Virat broke all ties with her, he didn't bring that up. He never wanted her to return to his house and spoke and took all his decisions in anger.

If the truth had not come out, he would have stuck to his decision. Even then, he wouldn't have had courage to officially end it, his best friend or his family members would have brought it up. He would have still found it difficult to hear them suggesting too, even though he might eventually apply for it.

Sai is in the same stage. She has ended it and at this point of time, has just let him know that she has ended it but wouldn't have had courage to mention divorce even though she might have known, that is the way to end it.

She would want to go back to him forgetting all that had happened, but how can she forget what had he done.

Also, divorce is usually applied to not just make the separation official, to stop people from trying to convince them to get together, to enable a person to move on, not giving a chance for the spouse to create issues while doing so.

In this case, Sai has clearly told everyone that she wouldn't go back to Virat and Virat has also agreed that he wouldn't force her to forgive him.

In the future if someone tries to keep convincing her to return to Virat and if she is still very determined, she might initiate Divorce to put an end to everyone's pestering.

"Deep down Sai knows that she might want to go to him one daysmiley13"

No, it didn't look that way, she might want to go to him but that was not the reason to have not brought it up. She might not have had the courage to bring it up. She might have done it in the future if someone brought it to her notice or might be willing to sign the papers if he sends the papers.

Virat had realized his love for Sai so he didn’t bring it up even though he felt he was betrayed and his trust was broken by Sai . He knows divorce is a full stop to their relationship and he didn’t have the courage to do so .After the truth reevaluation , Virat will never bring up the divorce even if Sai is adamant not to forgive him . He is truly in love with her so he will wait all his life for her . He will tolerate her indifference and anger but will never think of ending the relationship.

I don’t know what’s going on with Sai . She is not in love with Virat yet and in anger it’s easy for her to take this decision . Maybe if someone pushes her she might decide to end this relationship formally but the question is will Virat agree to her wishes and let her go if that’s where her happiness lies .

What I think is that even in real life when two people get angry and part ways, they don't think immediately about the divorce because they are simply too angry to think about anything else. Here Virat got to know the truth the next day so he didn't have the time to think about it. I am sure if he hadn't found out about the truth everyone would have told him to file for a divorce. Same goes to Say, currently there is a lot going on in her life. Her priority is to find a hostel and pursue her studies. Divorce is the least of her concerns.

In my opinion, even though they r hurt, i dont think they have given up on their relationship just yet..they have just taken a break..Virat clearly stated that he will wait for her all his life..clearly stating that he s not leaving her..as of now no one is even thinking abt divorce because deep within their heart they still have tiny hope that sitution will improve in future..
