See,Virat always wanted to initiate this step from Sai's side, stop calling sir, consider me your family,your friend. And as shown ,Sai is shown running away from the colour, in general,but still,and Virat is the one who has the colour, and as you said pink,mixture of love and purity (pyaar and no vaada , no deal or zimmedari),he is over these now,and he wants to grab Sai in these emotions ,in love,and he does grabs hold of her. He wants them to become one despite the differences. Every human has different shades in their personality and what makes a couple beautiful is the understanding, love, togetherness despite the differences..

Like every colour is different and has its one unique beauty, humans are the same! But when mixed together (only during Holi) makes a beautiful sight! When colours are mixed together aggressively all at once it becomes black but on the other hand when we slowly mix colours like in Holi, one on top of the other, not taking away from the beauty of the other colour the sight is beautiful!

Same way he is asking for a promise that during this festival of colours let us share our life together as one officially breaking the shackle of the vaada he made! He has realised his love for her, that she is different but together they are beautiful!

For when she is with him he feels the happiest and peaceful! Happiness knows no bounds for him, it’s all around, everywhere! Which we have seen by their moments together in the room, he is himself, his true self!

You have described the song so well. Oh! My, I must have watched it so many times, but can't get over it. Loved it so much. Yes, Virat has begun to have feelings for Sayi. And, this time he will never let her go. And, the chasing too has it's significance. Red is the colour of love. Basically, you can show your love through colours and colours have different shades.
