If you want mindless entertainment with your favorite jodis ZeeTV has learned to keep its online audience happy - by introducing their popular jodis in web series separately written stories on the fab jodis - they have done it with two or three jodis so far.

SP is the richest channel - they want to remain that way - their formula is TRP in fact when Amir Khan tried to change the TRP formula SP told him to wrap up satyamev jayate

The TRP formula works for SP

TRP aunties don’t care for story, it’s regressive Tv they like - sasuma Bs, btw they love third angle women becos it makes their own pati varta lives fulfilling. In-depth, grey vaghera is beyond understanding. These are people who want a break from cooking cleaning and fighting in the house. They want to feel better about their humdrum lives

I watch star plus shows cos of easy access due to Hotstar. I stumbled upon ghkkpm and loved the lead couple. if they play their cards right with a balance between sairat and drama, this should could be a worthful watch for mindless drama.

If I want shows with depth and meaning, I would still prefer American ,British and Korean shows.

Well my attention with this show is for how they have developed sairat , if that starts dwindling then so will my interest. But they found a gem in this pair, hope they sustain it . It’s their loss otherwise.

Food for thought. Nice.

I have watched tv serials a long time if my life😆

So I have seen all kinds of shows even when I didn't want to thanks to my mummy😆

1. Makers: I have seen tv serials that are nothing but promotion for a particular actor/actress. The story is written to make that one actor showcase his/her abilities. All the other actors or characters and even storyline is sacrificed for that one actor.

Many a time makers themselves don't know how to portray what they thought on screen. What's beautiful in paper doesn't come out like that on screen.vSo what happens is even when the story is absolutely disgusting for audience, the makers think they are showing something out of the world as they are still going by their preconceived idea😆

Or many a time they want to stick to a formula that worked for the other shows and copy paste them as it is.

2. Audience- I have seen serials going to the dogs because of audience's constant demands. Audience is biased to a few particular characters and fail to understand other characters and the whole story. They are unable to see the bigger picture. Many a time they are teenagers who want more and more romance and fast even when it's not the demands of the story and is unreasonable. Most of the third angles in a tv serial gets audience's hate and most of the times the hate reaches the actor who plays the character. Here Patralekha's character has done stuff that makes audience react strongly to her but I have seen third angles who were absolute Angels and were still humiliated. Most of the time they cannot love the whole story. Their love is restricted to a few characters/actors. And they can be extremely biased.

3. Channel: yes, I'm involving them as well. Even when the storyline is good and has quality and the audience is happy, channel becomes greedy and wants to milik the show as much as they can. Unnecessary dramatic twists and turns are introduced that ruin the very essence of the show. And channel simply wants money.

Conclusion: it's very hard to make a good show.

Makers are humans. There can be politically motivated for a serial.

Audience is many times unnecessarily biased.

Channel simply wants money and will ruin the show for money.

If the channel interference is limited, audience's feedback is taken into consideration but storyline is not changed regularly to suit them, and makers don't make a show to promote anyone and constantly watch their own show to make necessary changes in the storyline, a good show can be made.

And I personally think, a good show is limited. It can be stretched but when they have fulfilled the idea they had thought initially it should finish. The longer the show, the more chances of it getting ruined.

Even I have watched SP serials for a long time right from the days of Kyunki. Ofcourse took a break in the middle. My opinion is initially the PH have a plot and go ahead with it till they get good TRPs. Then based on the audience reactions and TRPs they change the plot accordingly. If the TRPs are constantly reducing then SP interferes and has the final say. And all ITV serials are very good with their plot for the first 1 year. After that most of the serials struggle to keep it interesting. But Ghums's case is different. They are having a ready-made plot which is interesting and it has many sub plots that can be explored. The makers have to just fine tune it for the hindi audience then the serial can run successfully for a long time.

completely agree with you. This is why I want them to make finite shows.
