Looks like they are building the fundation for the future story. Because in KD they showed Rono supports Emon and speaks against RK but then all of a sudden he starts to sympathize with her. And then suddenly starts to support her, help her which is why Emon leaves the house.

So are they showing us that if in future Virat helps or supports Pakhi, it is not a random thing, not all of a sudden, want to show that he always had care and concern for Pakhi and values their friendship.

Why else this dialogue now.
