Something needs to change about the way Pakhi is presented

I just want her expressions to get aligned with her characterization. Her central character traits are pride, selfishness, and narcissism. She wants everything she lays eyes on and that her heart desires, credit to how she was brought up. At the moment, she wants Virat and is using emotional manipulation to gain him.

All I want is for the actress to emote accordingly. Every time Sai or Ashwini counter her actions (cancelling the Ladakh trip, getting angry at Virat feeding Sai), she shows shock or surprise. Her face says, "How dare you ask such a baseless question?" But in reality, the question isn't baseless. Instead, the actress should show rage or displeasure. Her facial expressions should put forth a question like, "How dare you counter me?" or "How dare you question me?" And she needs to bring in variation in how she expresses these emotions. Monotony in facial expressions is very dangerous for an actor. The actors playing Virat, Sai, Ashwini, and even Devyani for that matter bring in variation in how they cry, get angry, or show any negative emotion.

Pakhi is certainly a negative character. But she comes across as delusional instead of narcissistic because of the way she is presented. Both the actor and director need to fix this blunder to make Pakhi a bit more tolerable.

Just take Omi and Sonali, for example. They both blindly follow their Vahini even if there is no logic in what she says. But their expressions change when Mohit or Karishma are questioned/humiliated. The nuance in their acting conveys to us that they are weak people with no spine who only follow their Vahini yet feel a pinch in their heart when their son or daughter-in-law are insulted. It makes for much more of an interesting watch and makes their deplorable characters a bit more tolerable.

For that matter, even the actors playing Ninad and Bhavani could introduce variety in how they react to Sai. They always give that one expression where they bulge their eyes out.

Agreed to the T.

I have watched KD, in KD, PP although was a negative character she portrayed herself as a grey with perfect expressions and poise. She actually looked matured in her talks and actions, it was so convincing that you would guess why the Chavan clan used to like her a lot. And she rarely yelled like Pakhi here.

Same goes for the others, too.

I always from the beginning thought the same about PP but I put it down as my dislike towards the character and I am being biased. But reading everyone’s POV on the same , I feel validated that it’s the exp emoted by the actor that is not aligned and not my bias

Maybe this role doesn’t suit her, since she is more happy go lucky in real life. But an actors job is to be able to play any role.

No one can beat ayesha as Sai but I wonder if aish played Sai’s role which is a bit more bubbly. Would she have done justice? ( all biases aside)

In KD, that Pakhi version was delusional but with class ... she was more like the current Kaku ... 🙄

Sadly the actress must be practicing these lines while pooping cause honestly she is giving those exact expressions 🙈

I’m also puzzled why Pakhi does that

It just makes her look so stupid and even more delusional ...

Though we don’t know what direction Aish is receiving ... so it may be the on set crew/writers that need to switch it up

I don't feel so. Sai has more variations than anyone else in the show.. bubbly can suit Aish but that comes very minimal screen time for Sai also it should be kiddish yet lovable, if Aish do that it won't suit I guess (sometimes her off screen happy go lucky also so over the natural).. I don't think Aish would have able to portrayed Father- Daughter beautiful bond with so much of emotions as well... I might be wrong too but this is my thoughts after watching her in this show...

Playing Sai’s role is next to impossible for Aishwarya who has very limited range of expressions and pathetic dialogue modulation. On top of that she looks older and would never look like a teenager,18 year old. Being bubbly is not the only requisite for Sai’s role. It has many layers and so much depth which Aishwarya would never have been able to do justice.
