The problem is not with his "pyaar karti ho kya?" dialogue because his feeling has not changed. It is about one-way display of loyalty and insensitivity to her feelings.
He is blissfully unaware about delusional Didi's state of trance and genuinely considers her a friend, excusing her for all the 'dard' of being lonely without her husband. He does not know that she has the dard from the adultery in her imaginary marriage with him. To him, it is her pain from the uncertainty of not knowing what lies in store for her. He doesn't know she doesn't even want to give Samrat a chance... like he said to her during the terrace talk about "tum dono ek doosre ko jaanoge"...
So again, his offer to go to Ladakh is not the problem and even Sai doesn't have a problem with it. But the problem is the @bold part -- when he expects her to be chaste even in a 'joke' with another man, how can he not offer the same loyalty. The thought should have occurred first to look for Sai's reaction. Instead, he even gave PP some understanding nods at the lack of "khushi" 🤢. He did not speak up to say, "give me time to think" or object to the very cringy, direct "shaadi ke baad khushi" "nazaarein dekhna" and his total lack of thought about a possibility of taking Sai even when Mohit and Karishma were offering a family outing. I did not like how he didn't understand Ashwini's suggestion until it was "spelt out" and then he was giving those "arrey-she's-rejecting-me" looks when Sai wasn't even looking at his face while rejecting the idea. 😳😳
