I can see why Viraat is like this by looking at where he comes from

They were always told to avoid clashes and arguments (as we always see Sonali or Ashwini telling their kids to ignore what others are saying especially ghar k bikar bozorgs) and its because of that k although Viraat has moved on in his life he is trying his best to ignore confrontation with Pakhao didi and telling her clearly about where she stands in his life

Virat understood what Sai said. But today he didn't give any reply to what all she put before him in a straightforward manner. Seems like he's still under the impression that he's right and Sai is wrong in blaming him.
