Completely agree, however the audience who actually watches this show (the trp audience) are not majorly web/online based. So they dont go through this hype. If i don't go on social media or see any interview or snippets i would have a different view. There were times when there was no speculation and it was fun to watch these shows. Thats one aspect.
Even if the promotion is made that way, there is a part of online audience who have shown their dislike towards it and they can actually get that. Also if you look at it, Pakhi's character is not presented in a nice manner. It is flawed and don't think people sympathize with her. Also its offscreen promotion how ever you present should not affect. As there is no sympathy towards her character, but her character is needed to move the story forwards, thats how they have presented it from the start. So she will be a part of the story.
If you insert a promo on TV which shows a certain aspect of the show and showcase it in the break of 5 shows, you have generated interest for that duo automatically with the VO. Even if I turn on Star Plus and see the promos for other shows, I will come to the conclusion that this is the main focus. I dont need to go through the interviews or look at the hype, natural reaction would be that. These promos/scenes are played on HotStar, but also on TV. I sincerely hope they look and consider the feedback of all these audiences before continuing to put it in focus with Virat/Pakhi in descriptions or interviewing only a certain portion of the cast. Let her be part of the story, but move her away from the main narrative and kindly leave all the sympathy scenes to the Chavan fam instead of rushing to her rescue (when it is not even needed).
@Bold: That is the issue dear, that the trp audience is infact trying to sympathize when they watch SBS and other channels on TV and see the actors explain their characters a certain way.
