Was Virat actually wrong today?

Even as I write this I know I am going to sound like a pendulum😆

Firstly I am going to unabashedly admit that I am here for Sai for me the Pull factor here is Sai followed by Sairat and then comes Virat.

I have always been vocal when it comes to my disappointment in Virat and I still am in certain aspects. He needs to be firm in his stand for Sai and of course in his response to PP by which I do not mean that needs to yell at her because the way he ignored her and walked spoke volumes than anything he could have told her however he needs to verbally acknowledge that Chipkahini is an instigator and of course place some serious boundaries.

Coming to today's episode Virat was not wrong in stopping the Mirchi peesna and even in tending to PP's burns, just like how Sai's intension was not to cause Virat any pain while talking to Amey Virat's intension was also not to cause any pain to Sai in tending to PP. In fact I believe the scene has been deliberately shot in such a way that not even a semblance of any underlying romantic feelings or concern was felt. I know he could have left her to be tended by others but wouldn't that be cold?

Coming to Sai, her intention was definitely to get back at Pakhi but this isn't some petty grudge of trying to one up PP it was simply a message being driven to both PP and the Chavan Niwasis that she is not going to take their bullying and double standards lying down. Sai getting back at PP was not just about the mirchi peesna I believe it was about everything PP has been subjecting her to for a while in fact she had already warned toxic Didi that while she had a made promise to not disrespect her she would definitely not take it lying down if PP interfered in her affairs. If anything I am sure Sai's grudge however minute is actually less about the mirchi peesna and more about the recent interference into her personal space yet again (butting into her fight with Virat and feeding him). This is purely my take on Sai singling out paakhi today.

Virat stopping Sai from going any further was actually the right thing to do because he knows that it is Sai who would feel bad later, remember the time Sai had fought with PP for entering their room and she had sat up wondering if she had spoken too much in anger and Virat said something along the lines of "are you regretting at leisure" today he was actually speaking for Sai and not against her however it seems otherwise because of this one line "ab ek aur shabdh nahi bologi tum" it sounds like a defence and this is something that has not come out of his mouth for Sai against PP yet especially since he has witnessed first hand how Pakhi has been picking on Sai and adding fuel to the fire. Which is why Virat's stance for Sai falls flat despite an amazing performance from Neil and everything that followed before and after this dialogue. I felt this line could have been written better otherwise the episode wasn't half bad or anything like SBS made it seem.

The CVs really need to make sure that Virat is actually fulfilling his zimmedari towards Sai without losing his objectivity. He once said that protecting Sai's aatma saman was his zimmedari too but today he couldn't say anything when his family was callously calling her mad and not to mention the grating silence everytime she is addressed as "Jungli Mulgi" it is a slur!

Iam totally upset with him..even sai was human.she got cut in her fingers, then also she did grinding of the masalas. The chavan are inhuman. They wanted paakhi to use mixie..they wantedly doing the act of physically hurting sai. more than people committing crime. The person supporting the crime and watching the crime are equally responsible in that act.

Virat being Ips is doing this is not at all digestable... totally disguted with his actions😡.

I find Virat upright to an extent but dense & selective in his outrage. He places ‘gruh-shanti’ above all else. He is a people-pleaser & avoids confrontating inconvenient truths. He always chooses the path of least resistance. For a policeman he has a strange aversion to dealing with unpleasant situations in his personal life or home, and hence buries his head in the sand like an ostrich, ignoring the obvious unless it hits him in the face.

1. He has been ignoring the obvious mistreatment meted out to his mother all his life, because to call it out wld have rocked the boat & led to unplesantness & possibly family divisions that he doesnt want to deal with. Hecwill be loving with her, but go no further for her.

2. He has increasingly become aware of the mistreatment of Sai but while he supports her to get what she needs, he will go no further. He will not stop his family ftom the indignity of calling her names, something so wrong in principle, as it will lead to unpleasantness with them.

3. Pakhi’s behaviour & words wld make it clear even to thr stupidest person that she is delusional & territorial about him, which is wrong when both are married to others. Yet he is either too dense to realise or too reluctant to confront the unpleasant task of correcting her, hence he ends up doing things that encourage Pakhi in her delusions.

4. He is educated enough to know that Devi can benefit with therapy. That there is something fishy in her story is obvious even to a newcomer like Sai, so Virat cannot be oblivious to mentions of a missing husband & child, a mysterious medication, beong kept under house arrest etc. Her wellness shd be more important to him that the family’s prestige or his Kaku’s wishes. Yet he chooses to be a sympathetic bystander, not bothering to deepen his understanding of her case or provoke the family by helping her.

5. He can also see that Karishma is not treated with respect or given freedom, which she is entitled to, whatever her faults. Yet he does nothing to use his influence with the elders to restore her rights.
6. When he realised that his love Pakhi was his brother’s bride, instead of confronting the situation & resolving it, causing some hurt in the process, he chose to avoid the issue altogether - jaisa chal raha hai chalne do.

Virat is a nice guy & will not purposely hurt anybody. But he lacks depth of character, which Sai has.

I agree. Virat needs to address the name calling for Sai by his 'dil ke acche' gharwale...How can they just call her junglee mulgee, badtameez etc etc and he stands there listening to these. Today also Kaku mentioned that uska para Sai ko dekhne se hi badh jaata hai...someone called her pagal and take her to the mental hospital...And he was standing there listening to all this. I believe this needs to be addressed really soon.

Also, the words..ab ek shabd Pakhi ke baare mein nahi...this could have been deleted..this was not required at all...Also, I believe that he should have called out Karsihma to put the ice on Paki's hands...especially after ignoring her the previous day when Sai was not given the breakfast...uska ice lagana was not needed when others were present there to sympathies with Pakhi didi. He should have shown his disapproval of Paki's behavior towards his wife as well as shown his human side by asking someone else to heal to Paki's burns.

law sabke liye ek hota hain , jo cheez sai ke liye galat thi vo pakhi ke liye sahi kaise ho sakti.

If I murder some one close to u then law will punish me not give u licence to murder me in same way , if u murdered me then law will punish u also , law will not give u any discount

As a character u may be right in ur pov but as an IPS officer how will u justify this

i like your post ❤️

but i guess its a debatable topic.

agree whatever virat did must be out of humanity and concern. 👍🏼

but it also gives wrong signals to both sai and pakhi which will be a problem for virat only in the future.

and also am not liking that they are adding more and more virpakh scenes and not showing any inner thoughts and conflicts of virat's feelings which is making it difficult for the audiences to understand what he wants.

am excited for aniket scenes. am hoping his friendship angle will make virat realize the limits he needs to set with his best friend.

and i really hope they will cut down virapakh scenes after aniket's entry.

When family insults Sai all the time and he just stay silent make me angry on him 😠 he gets angry on Sai or try to stop her but didn't utter a word against family . He should stop that plus only he is only one who can make Pakhi stay within her limits and do not enter in Sai and Sai- Virat as a couple's private space but sadly he is not doing anything. .

Without monologues Virat confusing viewers . He looks two timer some times .

I wish the makers stopped this Usage of jungli mulgi. It’s a slur against various communities and not something they should constantly bring up on TV!!

Today the casualness they demonstrated in the disregard for mental health was also very disappointing, especially since the topic is still so taboo in India. They should choose to educate not perpetuate the failings of such usage!!

There are so many ways you could choose for Chavans to be trouble makers even without these terms.

I hope someone tells the broadcast gods!
