ikr, usually the actors that play a negative role, on segments like this they just explain the scene and what her character in the show is doing. they don't try to 'justify' their character's actions ever as they know that they are playing a 'negative' role in the show and whatever the character is doing is wrong.

That is true. Both on screen and off screen I feel she's seeking attention. I think she goes overboard the so called "fun" BTS segments.

There have been many actresses who've played negative characters in the past like Hina Khan and Urvashi Dholakia as Komolika.. and they own those negative characteristics with pride and play them so well. But with aishwarya I feel in every interview or BTS she's just trying to prove that she's not the bad one and tries to justify herself by using terms like "discipline" and "susheel bahu". I mean whom is she trying to fool. Audiences are not bhavani kaku. Lol. If you are playing a vamp character then please own it with pride.

I think when the character was created they didnt intend for her to be "negative"..but as the story has progressed its obvious that she IS 100% negative. So the actor needs to acknowledge that. Theres nothing wrong saying - ya shes a negative charscter who is jealous and selfish.

Because if shes trying to say that shes really not a "negative" character then shes either living under a rock, has been tricked by the makers into doing a negative role that they are calling "character with grey shades" , or shes just a bad actor because we cant relate to her actions at all. We dont see the grey in her acting, we only see the black and her stone face! She does not ever look "conflicted" between wanting to be against Sai vs doing the right thing. She does not ever take a stand even though "shes modern, educated, post graduate etc" . We dont see any nuances in her character.

All they have shown us of PP is that

She could not take a stand for her " love"She was ok marrying someone despite the foundation of it being a lie. She just wants to cry over spilt milk.

Shes jealous that she isnt the one married to virat, she wants to be close to virat even though she knows she is his SIL. She doesn't care about her missing husband. She simply uses him as an emotional blackmailing tool and feels that no one can be happy/move on coz her husband is MIA. And she seemed to have atleast some self respect and self worth when she decided to go home but she came back just to make Sai's life miserable. Even to compete with Sai, if PP actually found herself a job she might find some fulfilment in her life. But nahi. She just wants to instigate Virat against Sai

So theres no grey shades at all right now. Nothing to redeem her character.

Until Samrats entry , there seems to be no scope for her to do anything else with ber role other than try to make life difficult for Sai and derive sadistic pleasure from any MU between Sai and Virat.

I don't see why she needs to be in every single family confrontation scene. They can give her also a break like mansi bua and mohit.

And i dont understand why pretty much every segment i have seen, has her in it. even shivani isnt there but PP is in these segments.

I was thinking about it. It's very clear that Ghum is a remake ..a copy of KD. The character sketch of Pakhi has already been laid out. It is obviously negative. And since it's working for trps, it will not turn shades till Samrat comes back. Might as well own the character and it's nuances completely.

@bold this show was remade twice and we are all saying that it is following everything from KD, so her not knowing or the makers not knowing that she is a vamp character is unimaginable.

Rupkotha in KD had stronger presence than her and that was for her dynamic acting.

@bold, exactly this whole story revolved around sai, shivani n virat.. n even amey.. agar amey ka bhi interview lia hota I would have understood.. what has she even done in this story other than displaying her so called "discipline". She's become more like a side kick to virat.. kahin akela chhodna hi ni hai.. chahe insta story ho ya SBS interview.

And why is ayesha giving the interview in a separate frame? Why do they not cover actual leads together like in every other show?

Ya but if we were to give benefit of doubt we can say that when the show was being pitched they must have said ki PP is also grey. But her character has NO nuances. Shes unidimensional- Sai hating. Blaming Sai for ruining her chance of "being with" Virat. Although Sai only entered the picture after PP got married to Virats brother. But she needs to blame someone other than herself for this situation she finds herself in because shes not able to face the truth that it is her choices that are responsible for her condition. If they showed atleast some monologue or something that has her question herself instead of just blaming Sai, maybe the audience would "feel" something for her. Right now shes just part of a gang that bullies Sai and in covid era instead of ALL of them being there everyday they can take turns.

Bk, sonali, omi, ninad and PP are the ones who speak.

Ashwini, mansi, shivani, mohit and karishma are quiet

Toh koi rotation system hona chahiye. 3 soeskers + 2 spectators per confrontation. Aisa kuch. 🙈

PP ki har episode mein zarurat bilkul nahi hai.

Ikr, but I hate it. Ayesha deserves every bit of the attention and applause for her work. And in my opinion she's not getting her due, be it from her co stars or in such interviews. Bechaari is so overworked!
