The plots are very similar, but the characterizations are different. They do change up some scenes here and there, which I think is a perfect touch and a nice surprise for viewers who have watched the original. For example, in today's episode where V miss Sai was not in the original. This makes me think that maybe V will fall for Sai first. Plus, Sairat chemistry is far better in the remake than in the original.
Also, I found Sai in the original much more aggressive with her anger and Pakhi much more vicious. Virat is not so emotional either in the original. The plot in the original goes at a slower pace and much more DRAMATIC than the remake, and I feel at times, the dialogues are a bit more furnished and less rushed in the original. For example, I think Sai's anger from last week's episode was more justified in the original than the remake. However, in today's episode where Sai comes to Usha's room, she was much calmer than Sai in the original. Sai in the original was literally screaming with Usha when Virat told her that she figured out her place in this family..lol... I was really worried if they were gonna follow the same trend on the remake, but THANK GOD they didn't. Sai was much more mellowed down. So there are pros and cons depending on the episodes.
I am the type of person who can not handle suspense, so I watched it beforehand to get an overall gist of the show. I definitely enjoy the Hindi version better because character-wise Virat and Sai are better written.
Completely agree with each word. The original was slower in pace and more dramatic and sometimes the reactions of characters go over board. While in this remake everything is balanced out.
EDIT:
If they follow the apology part completely from the original then it will be so funny. There are so many innuendos in their conversation that I literally cracked up (or maybe it's just my dirty mind 😂). For example, Virat asks her to come back to the room cuz he has to tell her something important. Sai, being her innocent self asks what important thing could he possibly have with her this late at night. And then he responds she needs to come to the room to know. They have their cute banter for a while in front of Usha. I thought it was so funny, so I am hoping to see how they play this scene in the remake. I am sure with Sairat chemistry, it will be much better.
The apology scene however I want exact copy of the original. It was perfect. Not only their apology convo in bedroom but pakhi sai convo in the living room where virat stands far away and was listening to them and then he ultimately took sai's side and asked pakhi to go back to her room was great.
I loved how pakhi tried to stop virat but he refused saying he has some important work with sai so going in their room...pakhi's face at that time was worth watching.
