One thing which I'd really like to see on the show is how Sai deals with the trauma she's endured. The Jagtap kidnapping has hardly been mentioned. I'd like to think that it was the adrenaline which kept Sai going and the excitement of moving to Nagpur with her Aaba. Once she'd started her new life, she would've dealt with it in her own big or small ways.

Now there's another trauma added to the list and as much as I love Sai vs Mast Mast, I want to see the show addressing these issues. Sexual harassment, kidnapping, loss of a parent. It would be nice to see Sai and Virat talking about these things and that should serve as the foundation of their friendship/ relationship- that they can talk to each other.

I don't want all these to be brushed under the carpet for kitchen politics. These are all serious issues people face and Star Plus keeping up with the "Nayi Soch" should definitely discuss these.

sai having a nightmare and virat consoling her will be a treat to watch

Sai has seen a lot of things.

During the photoshoot session, when Virat put his hand on her shoulder, Sai had this awkward reaction. Whether its because she is not in love with Virat and so did not liked the closeness or it was because of her past, i cannot say.

But, I really hope to see her open up. Maybe she could with Ashwini. With Virat, it will be difficult since he might bring Pakhi in between.

I totally agree with you!

For a girl who's just 18 years old, Sai has been through a lot.

She was harassed by Jagtap for 3 years, from since the time she was 15 I guess. She was kidnapped and even molested by him. She was almost married to him at gun point. And she watched her father being hit by a bullet. Despite all this, she's holding herself together marvelously.

I want one really intense breakdown scene where Sai just lets it all out, either to Ashwini or Virat, it'd be a very significant turn in SaiRat's relationship if it is with Virat.

@bold - even I want a breakdown scene for Sai where she talks about everything she went through, and if she does this in front of Virat, it will be such a significant moment in their relationship. He already knows that she's a fighter, but knowing the amount of trauma she went through and how much of a fighter she is, will alter Virat's view of her.

And about Pakhi, chances are that Virat might try involving her🤢, but it would be very insensitive of him to do so.

I love, love love this post ❤️❤️❤️

Have been thinking of Sai's character and the story we know about her endurance. It's such a shame that despite knowing it so closely Virat still thinks she's immature and needs to learn maturity from an idiot like Pakhi, who has not even been able to handle her heartbreak with grace or courage.

What is the comparison even?

I had written in some other post that From 15-18 years of age, the girl has endured molestation, stalking, threats, kidnapping, almost a coerced marriage, attempted rape, the death of her father in front of her eyes and then again a forced marriage because no one wanted to take on her responsibility. And now the expectation of being the ideal muh-bandh rakhne wali Bahu after suffering all the taunts that the family has been throwing at her.

She's married Virat out of lack of choice under pressure from her neighbours etc, but why would she even want a man around her? She's certainly not mentally ready for a relationship, especially one which involves physical proximity as an aspect. Her awkwardness when karishma and Shivani force them to come closer during the photoshoot to her 'kamre me dam ghut Raha hai' is a manifestation of her underlying insecurities and fears.

Also, Virat has married her in all sense for his 'farz' but doesn't 'sai Ka khayal rakhna' wala vaada also mean overall well-being including mental health. By repeatedly reminding her that she's immature and needs to become like someone else (who is actually not even in the race with Sai), Virat is not only adding insult to her injuries but also demeaning the strength which she stands for.

When she told Virat before getting dressed for the reception that it's not easy for a girl to be in a forced marriage, she was right. Her marriage with Virat is almost the same as her marriage with Jagtap -- forced and against her wish. The only difference is that she trusts Virat to be the upright person that he is because she knew how much her Aaba adored him. Beyond that, Sai is yet to feel any 'connection' with him because of her unresolved issues.

So although Virat visibly has a 'connection' with her which he has even spoken about, Sai is more aloof of the two as of now. But a heart to heart will definitely set things right for them.

Woah, much needed. I can’t believe I haven’t thought about this yet. If the makers actually take this issue up, that would be amazing. Yk at some points in the episode today, I felt like Sai was overreacting, and I felt guilty for feeling that way. Reading this, I am convinced she wasn’t. Girl has been through so much, and Virat really thinks teaching her the traditions of the house is the most pressing issue? She needs a confidante, which I don’t see him becoming, as of now. Even with Pakhi, had he told her to give emotional support to Sai, rather than becoming her grooming teacher, that would’ve been better.
I know we love them together, but it would’ve been healthier had they delayed Sai and Virat’s marriage. They wouldn’t have had as dramatic a story then maybe. But if we look purely at Sai, she would’ve been much happier at a hostel, surrounded by friends, rather than at this sh*itshow of a house. The only blessing is probably her finally getting a mother figure in her life i.e Ashwini.

She's dealt with a lot in a small period of time. V should not have been so adamant about P giving her life gyaan when the circumstances are tad different.

For eg: Paakhi can go back to her parents place with pride intact if anything goes wrong, Sai does not have that option coz she'll fall back into Jagtap's clutches.

I miss the smart Virat Chavhan of Gadchiroli over the kitchen-politics Vaada boy.
