Honestly since pakhi married samrat, I actually don't see any love from virat's side for pakhi... all I see is gratitude for pakhi for agreeing to his request and an obligation to be sensitive towards her feelings out of acknowledgement that she's in an unhappy marriage only because of him. He knows the promise he gave her and he knows the expectations she has of him, so now it's him being careful not to hurt her feelings or make her feel he has forgotten that she has sacrificed her happiness on his words.
Its why he puts her on a pedestal, tries to keep her involved with his marriage to sai. It's him trying to over-compensate her for sacrificing something for him. Not love! I actually see and feel the weight of the guilt and gratitude that will constantly be on him due to pakhi is what will finish the feelings of love he has for pakhi, because that weight and burden of guilt and gratitude will be too great for love to be able to survive, especially if pakhi herself starts to push that burden on him by constantly making him feel guilty and reminding him of her "Sacrifice" and favour she did to him. The more she tries to guilt him, the more that feeling of love will wear down and be overpowered by guilt.
On the other hand he knows sai blames him for her loss, but unlike pakhi, she won't constantly remind him and make him feel guilty, and neither will she keep any expectations from him. Instead he is doing everything for sai without her demanding or expecting anything from him and he continues to think for her out of concern and duty despite him knowing sai does not expect him to think for her so much and that she prefers he wouldn't. For that reason thinking about sai's feelings and happiness won't feel like a burden and obligation as much down the line in future and will feel instinctive to him eventually.
