Highly popular actors like Niti Taylor, Param Singh, Vikkas Manaktala are really putting their best in this show. They have great job and tried to look convincing in every scene. The production house and the director too have given all of us many successful shows earlier. Every thing fall at right place but still after completion of one week the viewers are left confused.
Despite of good performances and a great story line the serial is somewhere lagging behind because of it's orthodox nature. Kidnapping of girls for marriage doesn't looked so appealing as we failed to hate someone which was a necessary part. Apart from that when modern shows like Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke aise Bhi, Ishqbaaz, Beyadh, Chandra Nandini are gaining popularity where in the female leads are an equal counterpart of the male lead, the Ghulaam seems be falling a little short in the first week. One reason for this maybe as because the female lead is depicted as little submissive, dependent and vulnerable. She looks more like a crying doll with no personality and thoughts of her own. All other TRP gainers have well portrayed female leads as independent and successful. Interestingly, the male lead is shown strong, but contrary to his own character he accepts himself as Ghulaam. It's not only gives a contradiction in character built up but also leave audience confused.
The performances and direction so far was good but we felt something was lacking on the story line. Since it was just the introductory week we expect few vital amendments in the story.
We wish the whole team of Ghulaam a great luck in hope that character come out strong taking their own stand as shown in one of the promos.
