Did Karan Kill Laxmi's Father?

Okay, this may seem like a really dumb question, but please think about it. Do you think Karan killed Surya? And what do you base this on? I'll give you my response to get the ball rolling:

No. While Karan is responsible for betraying Suryakant, causing him extreme pain, and laying the groundwork that led to his death, he did not KILL Suryakant. Laxmi's father was walking down the street, perhaps not paying attention, given the trauma he had just been through. But the couple driving the car KILLED Suryakant -- not Karan. There is a distinction there.

I may be simplifying it but: let's say a husband/wife had a really bad fight. The wife is devastated her husband is leaving her--a total surprise to her. She goes out for a walk at night on side of road. A car accidently clips her, resulting in her death. Did the husband kill the wife???

I do not think its anyones fault it is the drivers and i do not think hes a murderer i think he is probably alive somewhere hopefully because i fpund him critical to the story

you know what i thik i think that he still wont change something will pop up and show that karan still has a dark side or something, I dont know i think that

As some of you have suggested, I think at first the show planned to have K as the killer, even shortly after K&L's wedding.

However, the character of Karan has hit a chord with a large amount of viewers, as has his and L's tumultuous relationship. And lately, with him falling in love with Laxmi, becoming vulnerable, and trying to correct his mistakes, his character has become popular and hot! 😳

I think the creatives may be backpaddling now, and I can't blame them. Only ratings count, and, if I'm not mistaken, GKLB is enjoying some of its higher ratings now. Did I mention he's really attractive (the whole package - looks and personality), BTW? Gosh, I can't believe I've become a groupie--it was probably more acceptable a decade ago! 😛

When I think of the other stories at play here (Suryakant wandering out there, having given up all his worldly possessions 😆 ); "Bhavishya" returning; Kajri's scheme; and Karan & Laxmi's relationship, it's going to be a while before Satyakaam could be brought back.

To many newer viewers (last 6-8 months), Satyakaam means nothing. What they see now is a character that is pleasing to the eyes/sexy, conflicted, expressive--and I for whatever reason find that more appealing and real.

With the way, they're developing K now, it would hard to believe and take him as Satyakaam's killer. The cat, house, dark suit, etc.--I think the creatives would prefer we not remember that?

Can I also ask why so many people want Satyakant back? Is it because he treated Laxmi nicely, was a good guy, died a terrible death on his wedding day? Because sometimes I feel some members WANT Karan to be the killer. But his character is transforming--and I want him and Laxmi to be together and happy.

i think we can say Karan indirectly killed surya coz if he hadn't betrayed surya then he wouldn't have left the party and if he hadnt left the party then he wudn't have met with an accident-but we shud keep in mind that Karan didnt know that surya was innocent and that it was rasik who was responsible for his father's death

But then shudn't the couple who were in the car thet surya collided with be responsible for his "supposed death"

I would say he killed him indirectly. But I also want to say that Laxmi is also equally to blame because Karan had made his plans very clear to Laxmi right from the get go. So Laxmi was fully aware of his intentions> He did not do anything without leting Laxmi know. So I feel she should have told it to her dad or done something so Karan would have been unsuccessful in implementing his plans. He had warned her well in advance.

So I feel both are equally to blame.. Laxmi thought that she is too smart to handle the situation on her own.
