June 1^st 2009 Written Update

Devyani and Akash come to meet Gauri's family, to apologize and also to ask Gauri's hand in marriage. As usual, Saras begins her extra long bhashans, but Akash himself comes forward and requests Gauri to agree to this rishta. Gauri refuses and goes upstairs and Sav goes after her to convince her. Devyani comes to her pleading for her approval. Finally, Gauri agrees and all are happy (except Akash, who I'm not sure is so happy). Devyani suggests next week for the marriage and everyone approves. Sav calls Yuv to do tilak for Akash, but Gauri asks Kshitij to do it instead. This saddens Menka and Yuv. After they leave, Menka goes to Yuv's room and tells him how upset she is with the way the betis are treating him but he comforts her that he is being treated deservedly after everything he's done. Akash and Devyani return to their house, and he is upset that Devyani had to plead so much to Gauri who had the audacity to refuse his proposal. Devyani tells him to accept the fact that Gauri is going to be his wife soon(im sure he shudders at that thought) and assures him that he will be very happy with her as his life partner (although he doesn't look so convinced..). At the Garodia house, Sav and the girls have an emotional mother-daughter scene, and she tells Gauri that after Jhanvi and she are gone, she will have no one (what abt the other married girls who haven't left yet?). Later Yuv goes for a walk, and is stunned when he spots Akash on the road hugging a girl (who is none other than Tina).

Precap: Yuv follows Akash and Tina to a park, where he overhears Akash tell Tina that once he's married to Gauri, he will make her life hell. Yuv is shocked hearing this.
