Speaking about Geet’s first interaction with Maan, it was during Annie’s marriage when Geet accidentally met MSK…
Geet thinks about how it all happened, how she got to know the MSK…
Yes, Geet is Annie’s friend and MSK is Annie’s brother…
That’s how Geet got introduced to MSK, it all began with Annie’s wedding…
Geet became friends with Annie during Annie’s wedding…
Geet was the wedding planner for Annie’s wedding…
Geet went to NZ to pursue her higher studies, MBA… right after Annie’s wedding…..
Geet has become really close to Annie only now… after Annie’s wedding failed and Annie became alone, she had no one but her family by her side…
One can’t share everything with your family, that’s why friends are there…
You can share anything and everything that is in your mind, without any filters for friends are like your shadow, they understand you the way you understand yourself…
No one else can understand your point of view in the way you see it except your close friends….
Annie poured her heart out when Geet came back from NZ and confronted Annie…
Annie is much relieved after spilling out her hidden feelings that were weighing on her for a long time..
Being a dreamer, Geet takes a lot of care about how she looks…
She wants to look good if not extravagant…. You have to have an eye for beauty, what’s the use of the innumerable beauties of the world, if they are not preserved and appreciated?
Life is beautiful if you add color to it by making the small things around you a little more beautiful, be it your look or your work or anything that matters, that is a part of your life… food, travel, love, not only romantic but love of any kind, friendship, first kiss, even your dreams, you dreams make your life, who you are? What you want to be?
Everything should be beautiful, like your interactions with people, even if it’s with strangers like that MSK, (no no, not now, but when they met for the first time… as strangers… both of them didn’t have any clue who the other was… )
After getting to know MSK, your interactions with him automatically become mechanical like the MSK himself….
But, initially Geet met Maan with an open mind, considering him as any other normal good looking(that is his only appealing feature that hasn’t changed) stranger…
Geet thinks about her first encounters with MSK at the wedding hall….
It was Annie’s wedding and Maan got involved seriously as a big brother…. That was the first time he was doing something for his family, or you should say for his sister… she is his one and only family…. Right from the moment her marriage was fixed, Maan took care of everything, from fixing the mandap to the caterers, he even hired an event manager but the groom’s side wanted to take care of the decors and the stage, they wanted Geet to do it….
The groom’s father knew that his wife had the obsession to do the things her way always, it’s either her way or the highway, so he didn’t want any conflicts with the Khuranas, specially this one Khurana, MSK, all the others were very easygoing…..
The groom’s father seeked Geet’s help then, for Geet could only save everyone from the groom’s mother…
Knowing about the kadoos MSK, (The groom’s father already knew Maan, even before Annie’s proposal came, through business), He didn’t want to invite trouble anyway….
Soon Geet took over the wedding management duty, reducing Maan to a mere spectator….
Actually Maan too was relieved when he came to know that they have given the responsibility to someone else, poor guy had a tough time with that lady gunda’s(groom’s mother) bossy nature and loud mouth… Maan too is used to giving orders, not taking orders, it’s like putting two swords in the same sheath…
Then itself Maan was not happy to be marrying his sister into such a family, but Annie was very happy with the marriage….
From the moment Annie met Vicky, she fell in love with him, MSK doesn’t understand how one could decide about a life partner in just a minute or two….
Maan happily stepped back for he was scared that he would call this wedding off anytime if he had to confront LG(lady gunda) any further…
LG’s tricks didn’t work with Geet and Geet ignored LG completely like she always does with anyone that keeps bossing her…. Geet hates if anyone tells her about what she should do, specially when it comes to her work…
It was the day before the wedding and Geet was busy with the last minute hectic work that has to be completed in just a matter of hours….
It all looked chaotic… Geet was very tensed and really in a hurry..
She was afraid that they wouldn’t finish it on time.. she was a little soft or maybe LG’s bossing and chasing the workers would have done the trick….
Geet even thought of calling LG back for her help, but her ego couldn’t let her give up so easily …
Maan came to take a look at the proceedings… everything else is taken care of and it’s been a smooth ride… the caterers are here and have started their preparations for the mittais… Maan is happy with the taste of the mittais and he is confident that the rest of the menu too would be up to that standard, why not? He fixed this caterer after rejecting a dozen of them, as you know, MSK is always right…
Maan just parks the car and comes… he takes a look around the mandap… he’s impressed that it looked elegant with all the decors and simple lighting… he’s happy that the Handas too have a good taste like him… as he steps into the hall, he is shocked to see everything messy and half done…
How the hell would they finish it on time?
That seemed impossible… Maan is in his angry mood… he then looks out for the groom’s family and there is none, how irresponsible they are? And now his anger turns towards the stupid event manager… everyone pointed out at Geet only, for she was the commanding chief there, Geet is standing on a ladder trying to fix something and is really pushing herself hard… Maan is approaching her, to bash her left and right, all these amateurs! And on top of it all, it’s an incapable stupid ladki!!
Maan always knew how woman wouldn’t even get ready on time for their own marriage…
Geet keeps stretching forward to reach the hanger and in the process, the ladder topples… Geet falls into the hands of our MSK… GHSP style…
Geet starts shouting.. “bachao, bachao”
Maan shouts on the top of his voice, so that she would hear him “chup bilkul chup”….
Geet opens her eyes that she had closed out of fear and she instantly recognizes that guy… she has seen him at the engagement(she being the event manager) as he was the eye candy of every girl present there….
Geet tried to ignore him that time…. She always hated the most popular and wanted her choice to be unique…
She just hated what everybody liked, she is different, you know?
Maan puts her down and straightaway starts bashing her…
Who the hell gave her this job?
Maan: I think you’re not even capable of arranging a birthday party, how many weddings have you done?
For a moment Geet doesn’t reply…. She keeps watching him…
Maan stares Geet and she is scared for a second….
She just tells him that this is her first wedding event…
Maan blames the groom's family for hiring an amateur like Geet for their son’s wedding…. Maybe they wanted to save money… but Maan is financing the wedding, why should they bother?
Geet gets angry …. He’s not the one who hired her and he has no right to blame others…
Geet: they are not narrow minded like you
Maan turns back and stares her…. Geet continues…
Geet: they hired me because they believed in my efficiency, and also I am very closely related to them(!!)
Maan: they should have at least come to appreciate the efficient work that you have done so far
Geet is proud of her work…
Geet: wouldn’t it look wonderful tomorrow?
She just imagines the finished look and is so happy…
Maan: Oh yes, why not? In your dreams but not in reality
Geet: what? What’s wrong with the decors?
Maan: it will look good only if you finish it? Show me the layout
Geet shows him everything and he is not happy at all… so much work left to do in so little time… they are not even close to half done…
Maan calls out everyone to assemble and he tells that he is going to take charge from then and he will not spare anyone until everything is done to his satisfaction…
Maan immediately becomes the task master and Geet just keeps running after him giving her inputs which he comfortably ignores…
Geet is angry that he rejected some of her best ideas like the images of both Annie and Arjun from their childhood… she had spent a lot of time collecting them and getting them printed out in different sizes are and some in black and white too…
But Maan knows that they wouldn’t even have a stage for the wedding if they concentrated in such time consuming minor details… Geet just kept following him like the Vodafone pug….
Maan gets irritated and turns back to stop the nuisance… Geet is moving forward in a hurry, and she is about to hit Maan… unfortunately Maan stops her from bumping into him…
Maan: what do you want?
Geet: I want to help
Maan: you have already done a lot of help and now the biggest help would be to stay away from everything
Geet: but this is my job
Maan: you are fired
Geet gets upset hearing that…
Maan notices her worried face…
Maan: don’t worry , I’ll pay you full
Geet gets offended and she stands in a corner looking at everything being done according to Maan’s orders…
Geet is dejected and she leaves that place immediately…
