Chapter 7
ALL THE NAMES & PLACES ARE FICTITIOUS (if any resemblance to persons & places is purely coincidental). Any royal titles, POLICE & LEGAL PROCEDURES, MEDICAL TERMS, MEDICAL PROCEDURES, RELIGIOUS TERMS, Punjabi terms, architectural terms, IT terms & programs, office hierachy, wedding rituals, etc. are from my imagination hence THEY ARE NOT TRUE. !!!!!
ALL THE PHOTOGRAPHS DOWNLOADED DO NOT BELONG TO ME BUT BELONG TO THE ORIGINAL UPLOADER. I HAVE JUST USED THEM AS THEY GO WITH MY STORY!

LATER THAT NIGHT at 11:00p.m.
Maan was cajoled by his contemperories in other Construction Companies to join them at a night club for drinks. Although Maan was not into drinking and dancing but rather than sitting in his Hotel Suite all alone he decided to accompany them. As soon as they seated themselves the floor show started with long legged shapely women doing cabaret.

Although the women were extremely graceful and flexible and their acts were mainly enacted keeping the male audiences in mind

but for a restless lover’s soul he was only seeing his beloved everywhere. Maan was feeling irritable and restless and decided to leave before his irritation could ruin the entertainment of his peers. The old Maan would have created a scene and stumped off but now Maan has become slightly more patient. Before Maan could get up and leave, the floor was opened to the night club patrons if they wanted to dance. When he looked at the stage he was sitting like a cold statue. There on the stage with the youngman was Neelakshi wearing a figure revealing dress doing an extremely provocative dance.

(Please imagine Siddharth Shukla as Drashti's partner instead of Salman Yusuf!)

As the dance was progressing, Maan’s temper was rising. By the end of the dance, Maan was boiling mad. He was waiting at the stage door exit for His Mishty to make his displeasure known.

HALF AN HOUR LATER
Maan was still waiting for Geet when he saw her leaving with the same youngman that she was dancing with. Neelakshi was fully covered now but Maan was too angry to notice.

Maan at once blocked her way, “Geet, how can you dance in such an obsene way? How can you forget that you are my wife?” Maan thundered.

“I’m afraid you have been decieved. I’m neither Geet nor have I’ve ever been married before.” Looking at the youngman next to her she said, “Come Veer lets leave, its getting late. Dad will be getting worried.” Neelakshi said looking at her luxury designer wrist watch before she forgets her manners and becomes disrespectful to this middle aged man.

“Geet, Geet meri baat toh sunno.” (Geet, Geet listen to me.) Maan again blocked Neelakshi’s way.

“Dekhiye Srimaan, humara naam Geet nahi “Neelakshi Vasundhara Rajawat” hai.” (Listen Mister, my name is Neelakshi Vasundhara Rajawat not Geet.) But Maan still refuse to move from her way increasing Neelakshi’s temper.

“Please listen Sir, I think there has been a misunderstanding. This young lady’s name is really Rajkumari Neelakshi Vasundhara Rajawat.” Udayveer said trying to calm the situation before his sister Neelakshi blows up.
Neelakshi again tried to walk away but Maan again blocked her way now arousing her temper, “Now listen here and listen well. I don’t want to be rude and misbehave with you. As I’ve been always told by my elders to respect persons elder to me and that is what I’m doing. If you again hamper my way, I won’t be responsible for my actions.”

“Tum kya karogi? Mujhe marrogi?” (What will you do? You will punch me?) Maan said with a smirk holding Neelakshi’s hand in his tight grip.

“Tum mujhe maar hi nahi sakti ho. Tum itni nazuk aur komal ho aur mai..........” (You cannot hit me. You are so slim and delicate, and I am......) Before Maan could complete his sentence he was lying flat on his back on the expensively carpeted floor and Neelakshi was quite a distance away with Udayveer running behind her.

Neelakshi reached her Villa boiling in anger. Udayveer was feeling a little guilty for forcing his sister to come with him to nightclub and dance in such a provocative manner. Udayveer was feeling very restricted due to his royal duties hence wanted sometime to just be himself. But now he wished that he had not been impulsive and hoping that his “Fufho-sa” (Father’s sister’s husband) does not loose his temper with Udayveer thereby ruining the ceasefire of the family feud.
Meanwhile Maan was in his Hotel Suite with an electric bag heating his back was in deep thought. How could His Mishty change so much?? This Princess Neelakshi’s face looked exactly like Geetanjali Singh Chauhan (Geet)’s but rest everything was different. Geet wore only traditional Indian dresses i.e salwaar-kurta, churidaar-kurta, saree etc. whereas Princess Neelakshi wore only formal Western wear;

Geet never wore any makeup whereas Princess Neelakshi wore light & subtle make up;

Geet only wore jhuttis whereas Princess Neelakshi designer stiletto heels on her feet;

Geet always braided her hair whereas Princess Neelakshi's hair was tied in fashionable French roll;

Geet primarily spoke in Hindi whereas Princess Neelakshi only spoke in English with a strong American accent; Geet would never have ventured even in the premises of a nighclub with a strange man whereas Princess Neelakshi had not only entered the night club but was also dancing provocatively with a youngman.

But above all this was difference in their temperament and behaviour. Geet was calm, silent, warm, decently dressed, extremely timid and dependant girl whereas Princess Neelakshi was emotionless, cool as ice, over confident, fearless, efficient, independent, “I couldn’t careless” attitude and a thorough professional woman. Above all PRINCESS NEELAKSHI HATED ALL MEN except her male family members!!
Was Mr. Baldev Chopra right in saying, “Mr. Khurana, agar aapki patni gaay (cow) theen toh Rajkumari sherni (lioness) hain; agar aapki patni sabka aadar, samvedhansheel aur prem karnewaali toh theen Rajkumari ahankaari, bhavna-rahit aur sabse grihna karteen hain. Sabse adhik hai waish-bhusha matlab aapki patni humesha tann dhakke Bhartiye kapade pehnateen theen aur yeh Rajkumari kewal vilayati kapade pehnateen hain.” (Mr. Khurana, If your wife was as docile as a cow, Princess is as ferocious as a lioness; if your wife was warm, compassionate, caring eand loving; Princess is cold, arrogant, confident and callous. More than all this is her dressing, what I mean is your wife wore traditional clothes covering her whole body whereas Princess only wears Western attire.)
Was Maan hoping against hope that Geet is alive. Was he letting his heart rule his brain? But why can’t his heart and soul accept the demise of His Mishty? Why does his soul keeping on saying, “Mishty zindah hai!” (Mishty is alive!)
“Mishty zindah hai!”(Mishty is alive!)
“Mishty zindah hai!”(Mishty is alive!)
Maan was still trying to unravel the truth from fiction of the girl named “Neelakshi”, when his phone rang. Maan picked up the phone without looking at the number. “Yes? Who is it”? Maan asked in a depressed and broken voice.

“Bhai, how are you? You didn’t call after reaching US. I hope everything is fine? You are sounding very disillusioned.”

“Yes Arnav. I’m fine. I am feeling disillusioned.”
“But why? What has happened?” Maan slowly narrated whatever has happened since he arrived about Neelakshi and his feelings. “Bhai, I think you should not think as Babydoll’s husband but as DCP Maan Singh Khurana that you were. Also, if you need any help, we three can also come to US.” Maan and Arnav spoke for sometime and then disconnected the phone but now Maan was feeling more confident and decided to think like a CBI Officer and not lovesick Romeo of Geet!
