As I mentioned the forum is filled with stories that border this, but since it's mostly our beloved hero carrying out the task, we tend not to objectively analyse it, and go with the writer.

Or maybe you don't follow certain writers/stories.
I'm sorry for being too generalist here.

sorry i am not much of a reader here nor as you have pointed out knowledgeable. i lack patience and cannot abide people leaving stories incomplete or making people wait eons before updating. Hence OS's grab my attention and I try to read them when possible.

Ah the infamous Stockholm syndrome.

We usually find some writers romanticising it in fictions/fanfics
The forum is filled with such kind of stories,
It's very very influential on teenager minds, there was a time when I found such stories acceptable (romanticising Stockholm)

I appreciate you writing this kind of story, it's a good initiative since you have a large reader base, it's kind of awareness generation.

I would also like to mention another os of yours which is on marital rape, this one is along the same lines, and I am glad that there are few people who are clear abt right and wrong and do not justify wrongs in name of maan-geet romance/ or it being a fanfiction.

There's another disturbing topic, with quite a few stories around it, do you think you can write another eye-opener on that (even an OS)
that is Pedophilia.
Pls consider.

Paedophilia is quite disturbing, and I know in the name of fiction it has been acceptable in a number of forums as most don't see the age gap between an adult and child but the faces of the beloved characters.

I will certainly think about it.

From the looks of it, Geet has also suffered from memory loss in addition to the syndrome otherwise why wouldn't she recognize Maan or his family???
Can you please write an FF on this that would further explain as to how everything happened. You're amazing at writing different concepts so I'm sure you can do it so if you do have time please think about writing an elaborate story on it.
Maan is amazing here as he's not only willing to invest all his life to cure her but has also taken Eliza under his wing as his own daughter and isn't taking anything against her! Granted that the child is nowhere at fault but it would be natural for Maan to see her as a reminder of everything that has taken place but he's beyond all that ❤️

I'm only keeping the one shots as OS's.
Some stories are best keeping as a shot, I feel the essence of stories/concept are lost when it's further expanded than initially intended.
Plus, my time is really limited these days and I'm barely managing to keep updating my current stories.

Loved the characterizations and heard about this condition for the first time.

Not all lives have a perfect start middle and end and you have shown that beautifully.

Thanks for the OS

Avi

Thanks Avi! 😳

Lol I'm in the same boat at times. Lazy and lack of time.
My time is even more limited these days... 😆

I really wish I could go back a few years and be able to type day n night, back then IF was lively as well.

wow, what do i say to that?

Firstly i had no idea what Stockholm syndrome was hence that was insightful. The human mind is a complicated thing, you'd assume Geet would naturally wait and beg for the day she'd be released from her captor yet now she's mentally crying for the evil brute who physically and mentally hurt her.

I cant even start to imagine what she went through, mentally she was probably already weaker considering post-natal depressiona nd then to be abducted and imprisioned in teh basement of a druggie, who'd probably drugged her and raped her must be sickening and painful to another level. My heart goes out for Geet, i dont know why but this reminded me of a story in America; the one of that sick perverted Man. theres many of such stories, captors and their innocent victims, and every time my heart splits into two; while one weeps for teh victime the other curses the evil craps that are so hearrless almost devils in disguise.

Maan, where so i start? Life must be so so hard for him. One person turned his whole world around and now he's giving his whole to return his wife to him. I seriously hope and wish for Geet to return to her Maan. Maan is all heart and love in this ff, my heart really goes out for both Maan and Geet, they deserve happiness, safety, love and everything good.

Thank you for such a different tale, one that creeps you out and still makes you cry

Thank you and please do keep writing

Yeah there's a lot of stories that happened in America similarly, it's so sickening. I recently watched a documentary called 'Abducted in plain sight', it's currently on Netflix.

It's a must watch and really eye opening how these predators brain wash you and you don't even realise it.

That documentary was about a child yet even as she grew she'd been so brainwashed she wanted to marry the guy who was like 30 years older than her. She hadn't even realised she was abducted.

Usually in stories, we have Maan as the abductor and he's rooted for as fans we all see him as the hero and I didn't want to give that impression of romanticising this because this is a very real thing which happens all over.

Glad you enjoyed it

It is indeed sickening, i generally dont like documentaries like that, messes my mind for weeks. I remember back in the day, there was something like this in Crime watch but a child was kidnapped instead by a paedophile, sickening to another height after which i stopped visiting the parks due to fears.

NO i cant root for such a Maan, when he forgets the fine line between bad and good and human and inhuman, then that for me inst romantic, but he's a criminal. Anyway just a personal request, if and when you post the OS on paedophile could you maybe highlight it somewhere since i'd like to give that one a miss, personally i wont be able to stomach it hence would rather stay away

Thank you for the reply 😃

OMG...Absolutely lost for words as it was such an emotional one that made me curse and swear so so so much at that monster who had done this Geet & Maan...The way it has made Geet like this...The emotional turmoil and heartbreak...hurt and suffering...not just physical but mainly mental & emotional...I feel so heartbroken.

That was brilliant.

Poor geet went through so much.

Even maan n their family.

Maan is dying each day seeing her like this but is still fighting hoping to get her back some day.
