Hi guys.. so I was watching some previous epis of yrkkh and the concept of how nk is in coma for 4 years and how difficult it is for him to cope up with the new situations and how the family has learned to live without him and how he has lost so much time from his child's life..So this story is somewhat based on that idea with some changes..
Geet: Working as a professor and taking care of home and baby krish with dadi and meera(dev's wife)
Maan: Businessman just like in Ghsp, had an accident due to which he has been in coma from the last 5 years
Dev and Meera: No past like in geet, dev is maan's brother and both meera and dev are very sweet and nice and take care of geet, dadi and baby Krish
Dadi: just like ghsp..sweet and loves her grandkids very very much
Chapter 1
Nearly 5 years after Maan's accident and him being in coma..
It's 8 in the morning and Geet who usually wakes up before 6 to take care of the house, get Krish ready for school and help meera is still in bed. Meera prepares the tea and snacks and gives them to dadi and dev who are sitting in the garden and sits with them.
Dadi-'kya baat h beta, aaj geet abhi tak nhi uthi?'
Meera-'I don't know dadi..maybe she slept late due to all the work that she was busy doing last night..' meera replied, not able to find any other excuse to give. They all knew geet's state but weren't able to voice it out in words as they knew it will break them further and they needed all the courage and strength they could gather for geet and maan.
'hmm' dadi smiled weakly.. 'you go and check Krish, if he's woken up or not and check geet as well..'
'jee dadi'.. Meera finishes her tea and gets up.. dadi says again..'if she's sleeping, let her sleep..don't disturb her. You get krish ready' Meera understands and goes inside.
'Dadi, kitne din hogye na.. Bhai humare sath hoke bhi humare sath nhi hai.. World ke best se best doctors ko dikha liya but it's like bhai ki bimari ko koi ilaaj hi nhi kisi ke pass'
Dadi sighs, not able to say anything, she wanted to..she wanted to do everything possible to change this whole situation where one of her grandchild was in coma, and the others though alright were living life like a dead person..There was no happiness, no shine in her house..they all smiled but no one had any twinkle in their eyes, the pretense was getting too visible with each passing day, the strength they tried to show each other was falling apart. She didn't know how many days were there before it all fell apart.
Dev continued, trying to let it all out for once in front of his dadi, so that he could start his day again like everything was okay, but only he knew how difficult it was for him to go to office everyday without his bhai, his mentor by his side.. he hated himself for not being able to do anything.. he hated it when he looked at geet's face and could see through the fake smile, those eyes which always twinkled, ready for any mischief anytime and every time, were loosing all their shine leaving behind a forever gloom.. he hated it when krish looked for a father figure in him, he tried to fulfill krish's wishes and take part in his school competition just for krish but that was his bro's place..his brother who was almost a father to him but couldn't be the same for his own baby.. he hated it when meera cried behind closed door at night, looking at the state their beautiful home was in.. His brother had started it all, after his father and mother died in an accident leaving a teenager maan and a very small child dev and dadi. Maan took it upon himself to be the man of the house..Along with his studies, he managed being a mentor, a father figure to dev, a loving pota to dadi and finally a fantastic businessman. But nothing came easy, maan was loosing himself in this process of taking care of everyone, that's when he met geet..
Dev smiled thinking about it.. the stage of his brother falling in love ,trying to understand love and his confession, geet's reply and then their marriage..he almost laughed remembering all those days..just so maan could spend time with geet, dev was usually left with geet's friend and that's how he met the love of his life, meera..all four of them built this home together with dadi and then krish came along.. Oh, maan was so excited for krish, they all used to talk about when krish will start taking, what word will he say for the first time, when will he start walking and so on.. Maan was wanted krish to say papa for his first word..
A tear slipped out of his eye when he remebered how maan played with krish and tried to get him to say 'papa'..'dadi, ab to mujhe bhai se zyada geet ke liye bura lagta hai..bechari himmat jod bhi na paa rhi and todi bhi nhi ja rhi'
Dadi was also lost in her thoughts, that's all that was left with her of her once, happy family.. 'janti hu beta, jab bhi tum koi naye doctor ki baat karte ho, koi nayi treatment ki baat karte ho..i see a hope in her aur phir dheere dheere sab khatam ho jata hai, phir se wahi mayusi hi haath lagti hai.. maan to coma me hai.. par geet to wahi dard baar baar sehti hai..thodi si umeed badhti h aur kuch din me phir bujh jati hai, us bechari bachchi ki sari himmat apne sath le jati hai..'
Dev kept his head on dadi's hand and cried silently, not being able to do anything.. he hoped for this sadness to end someday and soon, very soon..
