Great thoughts and perspectives... i think at the end of the everyone have their own stories and reasons. The key to harmony is proper communication!

If the writers let the readers know they want a break, its totally undrstandable or if they want to move on to be someone else or to a different forum. Its their choice and we should respect it. As long as they don't keep readers in the blind and hanging with hope and leave abruptly. We all are hear to support each other and enjoy this journey.

Same with readers also, i think the least the writers expect is to give genuine comments and appreciate their writing. If you are not happy or dislike something in the story, bring it up in a subtle manner or PM the writer instead of publicly bashing their hard work. If you are very lazy and have no ideas to write, the leadt you can do is hit the like button. Silent readers are the worst who don't even hit the like button. A writer deserves to know how many people are reading the story or are interested in it. Being a reader and leaving comments had it own benefits, the writer get happy and the reader gets to practice their writing skills and improve reading comprehension. Hahaha. Gradually but surely the readers will realize they are capable of much more and who knows they might evolve to be writers, poets or philosophers themselves.

Its a give an take business and respect and acknowledgements go a long way!

I just hope the writers who leave a story mid way don't abandon it forever and come back to it. Its like a piece of art that stays forever for generations to enjoy. No one wants to start reading an incomplete story... not me at least. Even if you can't go on with that story for too long, give it a decent and quick ending and move on. The story will give you much more back... a feeling of accomplishment to begin with and lots of fans to stay with.

I wish I had your attitude Rashmi but I don't.

Writing and publishing a book gives its own reward which gives you the satisfaction of being a published writer and also money for your work.

Writing on a forum is supposed to be interactive where you write and readers reply to that and then you write some more.

The satisfaction here comes from the interaction with the readers and also their comments which help you hone your talent or develop some talent if you came in without it, lol.

When that is not there, a writer gets disillusioned and leaves their work.

I used to follow a writer who had 35 ss/ff incomplete simply because she was just that good.


Now I won't even follow my favorite writers who wait months before putting out an update.

I am just not that patient.

I guess to each their own. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

Still I do feel I will never leave here fully 😃 so you will have my company 👍🏼

But you know I don't think that i can compare myself with any established writer who get their books published and earn well.

ye to bechaare yahaan ke readers hain jo mujhe jhel lete hain aur pyar karte hain..

If i even think to publish a book I m very sure not a single copy will be sold of thet..😆😆😆

I m happy that way..No complaints at all

but yes.. every comment and like matters to a writer as it's the only way to get motivation to write further..No doubt in that..
