He admires sleeping Geet was felt contented seeing her after years. So, he has seen Geet before too.

YES, BUT YOU HAVE TO WAIT TO KNOW WHEN

Maan wanted to impress Geet with his best look and personality and was lost with her thoughts. So, Geet is unaware of his existence whilst he loves her. Geet perspective about Maan didn't change and questioned him about Annie's stay at hostel.
