Chapter 33 : Attaining peace!

"Tu meri best friend hain na? Tujhe mere aankho mein zara sa bhi afsoos ya kalesh nazar aa rahi hain? Nahi na?" Geet knew her naive friend well, who just couldn't grasp the complex dynamics of her marriage hence she softened her voice and tried to ensure her worried and perturbed friend that she is happy. Perhaps!!! More than happy!

"Theek hain agar tu kehti hain toh main maan leti hoon magar ye iss tarha kyun baat kar rahe thhey...Let's forget everything... aise tere sath koi baat karey toh... Pinky very well grasped that she has overreacted so she calmed down a bit. She just looked at Ahlam nervously who was a silent observer of everything.
On the other hand a very generous Geet just inhaled a lot of oxygen at once and exhaled as well, calming herself down meanwhile as well. She tried to understand Pinky's side.
However, she was pretty much astonished by her sudden contradictory behavior as Pinky knows very well that how Geet has a strong sense of disliking towards people who judge others on the basis of their looks, race, status! She might be naive but her mind has a broad liberal thinking about the society. Also because she was profoundly involved in NGO and humanitarian acts since a long time hence her brain developed like that. And she only judges people based on their works. Perhaps that's the reason she could forget Dev so easily and fall hard for Maan for his high morals.
Not to forget another thing that Geet has a very positive thought process where she always even tries to understand that person who tries to harm her!
So being one of the closest friends of Geet how on the earth Pinky carried such reasoning into her head that was the strangest discovery for Geet! But she has to give a try to if not changing her perspective but at least the lighten the air a bit!
"Samjha kar naam ka asar toh huwa hain thoda bohot unke personality pe. Actually unko mess pasand nahi hain...Aur tu jaisa samajh rahi hain aisa nahi hain, har insaan alag alag hota hain naa? Toh unke tarikey bhi alag alag hoti hain.. Maan thode gusse wale hain but trust me woh dill ke bohot saaf hain, kuch bhi aapne dill mein daba ke nahi rakhte, agar unhe kuch accha nahi lagta toh turand bol dete hain...Aur sahi bhi toh hain mujhe unka phone bhi uthana nahi chahiye tha naa... Geet was in full chattering mode full of praises of her husband without even recognizing that she was totally glorifying him in the process of her defending!
"hmm main samajh gai...Aapke Param pujjniya Pati se aapko pyaar ho chuka hain...woh bhi beintehaa wali...Latto ho chuki hain madam aap..."Geet recieved a naughty wink from her friend who was listening to her intently and that elevated her mood a lot as everything was becoming normal gradually, "Tabhi abhi woh devta laag rahe hain aapko...samajh gai main...Uhhu Uhhu... Laag ta hain aab toh tu kaam se gaai...Pinky was amused with Geet's whole speech hence she winked at her and she was also back in her jovial demeanor.
"Waise aab main sach kahu? I am sorry yaar...Pinky touched her ears cutely, "I was just teasing you at the beginning, tu toh mujhe jaanti hain na..Sath mein tera mann bhi thoda tatol liya. Par teasing ke chakkar mein thoda jayda ho gaya na..Sorry yaar...Mujhe pata hain shayed maine kuch jayda hi overreact kar diya...Please mujhe maaf kaar de...Main tujhe hurt nahin kaarna chahti thi...She apologized sincerely while Geet just pulled her into a side hug and smiled, "I understand...tujhe meri bohot fikar hain... Geet knew how much possessive her girlfriends are about her and moreover this is the Pinky she always knew, may be suddenly Pinky couldn't take this whole upturn of her life hence she probably got angry and overreacted in the meanwhile!
The compassionate and empathic beautiful heart of Geet's tried to understand the side of her beloved best friend even after she indeed got a little hurt by her conducts with Maan but still she knew her best friend would come around!
"Jijaji Pata nahi kaha reh gaye...Unse bhi kaan pakad ke maafi mangna padega...Mujhe ye sab nahi kehna chahiye thi yaar...Aab mujhe bura laag raha hain bohot...Par tu toh mujhe janti hain na...Tu sach mein gussa nahi hain na mujhse Geet?? Pinky sounded worried and was gradually sinking into remorse for her bizarre comments!
"Nahin Pinky...It's ok..." Geet said while smiling meekly, "Mujhe gusse se jayda hayrani ho rahi thi...Kyun ki... " She gazed upon a silent Ahlam who was giving her affectionate stares at both the friends and their diverse relationship, "Tumhe pata hain Ahlam...Pinky hi woh pehli bandi thi jisne shaadi ke baad mujhe itna hausla diya...Meri aur Maan ki shaadi jis mahool mein jaise huwi hain waha logo ka sahare ki bohot jarurat hoti hain...Aur main shukar gujar hoon babaji ka ke meri zindegi mein mujhe aise pyaar kaarne wale dost mile..."Geet looked back at Pinky , "Paar Aab khair jo ho gaya so ho gaya...Chor inn sab bato ko... Her voice was soft and enduring.
"Haan...Chor dhungi baas ekbaar Maan jijaji ki maafi mil jaye...Par woh pata kaha gaye...Kafi der bhi ho gai hain... Saying so all three ladies while waiting for Maan started showing their feminine traits as in skill of random endless gossiping! And just within a few seconds they eventually forgot Maan even existed!
That evening on that mall lasted for an hour more as they all bid goodbye to each other while pinky resumed her shopping! And of course, she did pester Maan further with her sincere apology and Maan too interchanged her amending quality to make everything alright! Mostly making the one person whom they both loved dearly, Happy! Geet! With that everybody felt relieved as that eccentric event got solved peacefully!
Both the lovebirds were going back to their nest while Maan kept admiring his wife secretly, stealing glances as they kept walking under the crescent moon!
Today was hectic for Maan because finally, everything has started to fall into place hence he did anticipate a burning call from that pathetic woman! Sameera!
No, he doesn't want to think about her but she keeps poking him with her unwanted presence and sooner or later he has to confide Geet in, his wife because of whose pure shining light he has finally felt some peace after ages!
He can't and moreover don't want to keep anything hidden from her. He wants to disclose everything before he claims her and marks her as his. And he knows he can't be away from her anymore as with growing passion the latency of his rigid sexual hunger has got lost somewhere!
So he is feeling helplessly aroused with his seductress around and all her cute gestures are amplifying his appetite in a great magnitude! He needs her very badly!
He himself doesn't know how long he can hold his dark intense desires to love her everlastingly!
"Maan...as they were walking suddenly with her jovial summoning he sensed that he has entangled his fingers with hers but when he doesn't know, "Woh dekhiye na...Gol gappee...! Geet's excited voice made another entrance into Maan's eardrums while she pulled his biceps in her happiness!
"What...! he was startled a little with her childlike innocence, also because he was thinking about how to approach her and initiate disclosing everything!
"Golgappe.!!! she said again and gestured him with a broad smile, "Woh dekhiye.naa...udhar...Maan too followed her eyes and saw numerous stalls standing by the roadside.
There were plenty of different items provided by all the different stalls. And he despises roadside food like anything where she is demanding that only!
"Ohh haan.. Mumbai ki pau vaji aur woh khatte mithey goley ke bare mein kaise bhool gai main...Mujhe woh bhi toh try kaarni hain...chalo na Maan... Maan was mesmerizingly looking at his wife who was showing all the symptoms of having a little child inside her beautiful soul!
But he is Maan Singh Khurana afterall, "Jaan...this is not bandstand...Isiliye toh kaha tha aaj chutti leta hoon...Yaha ke chizey agar acchi nahi huwi toh? Aur tum roadside chizey khaogi?? she heard plea in his tone and looked at him with a slight tinge of cute fuming!
"Kiya..Kyun??? Bandstand pe jaise ye sari chizey kisi restaurent pe miltey hain? Aap bhi na...Aisi Lazzat dar chize toh sabse acchi roadside pe hi miltey hain...Aao na...she pulled her adamant and reluctant husband along with her and ended up ordering plenty of food!
Maan was just hypnotisingly looking at her while she was nibbling on all the junk food. Seeing his gaze she cutely offered him some pav bhaji which he very politely declined yet amused by her happiness level!
"Haayeee...Ye chaat toh na bhaiya bohot hi badhiya hain...Iski recipe bataiye naa... flashing her smile she was busy on buttering the stall owner and Maan couldn't help but chuckle at her futile cute attempts to know about the recipe as he knows these people never give away their secret ingredients.
And something funnier here was the way she was conversing as if she knew the guy from way before. Her down to earth nature once again flattered Maan.
Basically everything she is doing these days are directly hitting him on the left portion of his chest!
She again offered some more food to Maan, "Jaan...You know I want to live a long life with you...Isse accha hain sidha zeher kharid leta hoon? this time he complained in her ears with a compressed voice!
A pouting Geet raising her brows looked at her husband who was trying to hide his smirk after seeing her funny expressions, "Haww...Aap kitney burey ho na...Aapne mere favorite foods ki iss tarha majak udaya?? Zeher kaha aapne?? Zeher??? she was fuming and he was pretending to type into his phone for an easy escape from her fury!
And that made her more furious hence she snatched his phone within a blink to gain his full attention.
"Aur ye aapka phone...Uff...Sara din bajta rehta hain...Jab dekho aap ispe chadhe rehte ho..she swayed his phone in the air as he wanted to grab it.
"Geet...Kiya kaar rahi hoon... bachpana choro...Phone idhar lao...Maan was losing his calm little by little.
"Nahinn...She was instant and kept swaying his phone into the air, "Din mein aap phone pe...Raat ko sone se pehle phone pe...Sone ke baad bhi phone pe...subhe uthke bhi phone pe...Jab dekho taab phone pe laage rehte ho...huhh... A stubborn Geet was persistent into her claims and she again swayed her hand to get saved from his clasp!
"Geeet...he called her with his long tone, "Log dekh rahe hain...nahi nahin baaleke daar rahe hain tumse..." even in his rising temper he couldn't help but tease her.
"Accha main phone pe nahi rahunga baas?? she saw he is again coming towards her and this time her hands slipped the thin frame of the phone which jumped in the middle of the road, "Oye...Oh Geet!!!Maan exclaimed looking at the cars passing by smashing his phone beautifully into pieces!
She covered her mouth with the horror and was getting ready to chant sorry for numerous times while Maan just stood there with one of his hands on his forehead!
Geet playfully twirled her frame back at him after witnessing the fantastic aftermath of his beloved phone and cleared her dry throat, "Ahmm...Maan didn't answer her just shot a glared at her sheepish smile.
"Main...Le..leke aati hoon..! She somehow said those word and was about to bring the metal relics without even thinking rationally.
"Kiyahh! Maan's full attention was on her now, "Kaha jaa rahi ho..Ek minute...He grabbed her hand while pulling her back at the previous spot, "Pagal ho tum??? Mera phone gaya...as he was speaking Geet was staring at him innocently.
"Nahi...Wahi pada hain na..Main leke aati hoon naa.. she insisted again, innocently!
"Kyun show piece banani hain tumko?? Yeah dewaar pe tang ke haar chadhana hain?? Uski tukde tukde ho chukey honge...Choro usko...He tried to pull his sarcasm act so that she doesn't feel much guilt.
"Waise haar tangne ka idea bura nahi hain... Khair...Magar sim card?? Aab kiya hoga Maan?? Aapka kaam... she trailed out her concerns slowly, which he almost missed from his mind! Yes his sim card that's needed!
"Good point...Tum yehi ruko...Hilna maat...Main aata hoon.. commanding so he went in the middle of the road and collected the metallic debris while a car passed by with a furious pace which got his sensitive wife scared for him and she shouted instantly!
"Maaa aaa aannn nnn nnn... not only him mostly everyone nearby heard her. Confusingly he went close to Geet's shaking self!
