Oh am enjoying this new equation between maan n geet. . Wonder how maan s going to change her attitude towards him. Maan n his nephew interactions were interesting.

Wow! What a transformation in Geet:):):) Love whenever she gives it back to Maan:):):) LOLOL:):):) No I am not being mean yaar...its just that whatever he had said to Geet that time has emboldened her to come out of her circumstances and build herself up through her own efforts. And no way is she going to let Maan or anyone take any more potshots with her:):):) I admire that guts in her. And now Maan's curiosity in Geet has gone so many notches high up:):):) Will Maan follow her & give her a lift? I wish he does:):):) By that he would get to know where she lives:):):) I am also curious where is geet staying currently and where will she be moving to. Worried for her safety & protection. Part 3 - Maan is so conscious in keeping his image a cool and happeining techer. But it was ryan who always keeps him down. He was very bold in asking him about geet being his girlfriend. How cool is this boy. I liked him. Both knows each others' secret very well.

Geet is always in attitude while talking with maan. Seems their past stops her to reveal anything more to him.

Chapter 4

"Oh, I'm so sorry" Geet apologised slamming the door closed behind her.

She had returned to her friend's house, as she entered she was unfortunately blessed with mingling naked bodies. She was going to have to go searching for a new apartment tomorrow evening. After a few minutes, Pinky called out from inside.

Geet stepped inside and glanced around then looked at Pinky sheepishly.

"He's hiding in the bedroom" Pinky laughed.

"I'm sorry, I'm looking for an apartment tomorrow. I'll be out of your hair this week" Geet assured her.
"Geet, it's fine. We keep forgetting you're living here for the time being. We're sorry" Pinky waved off her apology. "I hope we've not scarred you for life"

Geet chuckled and shook her head, "I'll text you when I'm on my way back from work".

"Anyway, why don't you freshen up? We've ordered pizza and it should be delivered soon"

Geet nodded and retreated to her room, she stripped out her clothes and took a quick shower. After she dressed in her cotton pyjama pants and shirt, she walked out and joined Pinky and Aditya in the living room.

"How was your first day?" Pinky asked as she flicked the through the channels for something nice to watch.

"It was good, I like the teacher I'm assisting" Geet responded. "She's got years of experience and it would be help me with my coursework" she added.

"Well, I'm sure your parents are probably proud you're now working and studying at the same time" Pinky commented. "My dad hated spending so much money on my studies" she laughed.

Geet shifted in her seat uncomfortably, she hadn't told Pinky the full truth when she came to live with her. She simply stated the courses she wanted to do was here, and the job she found was perfect for her. She hadn't told Pinky nor Aditya about her life back home.

It was better if they didn't know.

"Get back in the car" Maan looked at his nephew as they just climbed out of the car.

"What? But uncle..."

"Ryan, get in the ca..."

"Maan"

Ryan glanced over his shoulder and smiled brightly as he noted his great grandmother was near the door and was grinning at them. He grabbed his backpack and ran over to give her a tight hug. "How are you here Grandma?"

"The question should be, why exactly are you here dadima?" Maan walked over giving her a quick hug.

"Son, you know why I'm here. That's why you were running back towards the car when you saw me" Savitri Devi pointed out.

"I've got a session tonight at the gym" Maan responded. "So I can't discuss whatever it is you wish to discuss" he added.

"You're going to get someone to cover you, I know Garry is working tonight because I called him" Savitri Devi replied.

Maan clenched his jaw and pulled out his phone, he text Garry to cover his session then followed his grandmother and nephew into his house.

"How are my parents?" Maan asked.

"Shouldn't you be calling them and finding out?" Savitri glanced over her shoulder.

"Well, I suppose they're fine. I only talked to mom a few days ago" he placed his keys in the bowl and shrugged off his jacket. "And I only asked because you do live with them".

"Your mother is fine, she is angry for not visiting her last term holiday" Savitri pointed out. " I promised that I would slap you on her behalf" she stepped forward.
"Dadima, you're not laying a hand on me"

"Don't make me chase you" Savitri responded. "You know I would do it"

"Dadima" he warned.

"Ryan, call Pearl" Dadima looked at Ryan.

"No, no, don't you dare" Maan yelled just as Ryan called out.

"PEARL! Get in here"

Maan cursed his fate as he heard the excited barks of Ryan's Golden Retriever skid into the room with her tongue lolling out.

"Who's a good girl" Ryan crouched down rubbing her stomach and kissing her animatedly. "Yes, yes who's a good girl... who's going to make uncle Maan submit?" he cooed.

"Fine!" Maan hissed and straightened, Savitri stepped forward lifting her hand and smacked her precious grandson on his cheek.

"Damn you mom" Maan hissed, his cheek stung and he was sure his grandmother's palm print was probably visible.

"There, now the punishment is out of the way. I need to discuss Dev's return" Savitri informed. "Ryan, why don't you go play with Pearl for a little while? I'll call you when dinner is ready" she told him, he agreed happily and ran out with Pearl. "Follow me" she looked at Maan and turned heading into the kitchen. Maan settled on a stool grabbing an apple from the fruit bowl and listened as his grandmother yapped on.

"I want Dev and Naintara back from America, Maan. That isn't where I want my grandchildren to live" Savitri started on peeling some onions. "I want you all back together".

"Dev isn't returning until he has cleared his debts and has got a handle on his gambling. He isn't going to live off our father anymore" Maan stated firmly.

"Maan, it's been months now. I haven't seen my grandchildren" she sighed sadly. "I'm old, I'm 73 years old. I don't have long son".

"I promised you that I would bring Vikrant back and I am working on that, but Dev isn't returning until he has cleared his debts and stops gambling. Me and dad had put money together and cleared his debts, but this time we are not going to help him. He has to help himself".

"But Maan..." Savitri stopped her task and turned to face him. "I want my grandsons, all 3 of you back here. I want you all living together, happily and united. Maan, I promised your grandfather that as long as I am alive, I would not let you all fall apart. I'm breaking my promise to him now because you're all living separately" she swiped the tears from her eyes.

"That's onion tears dadima, and as much as I love your emotional blackmail. May I remind you, I was there when dadaji passed away, he didn't say shit like that" he answered.

"Why, you ungrateful bas***d..."

"Your son is still alive" Maan laughed.

"Why can't you do it for Ryan's sake? Ryan needs all the love of us all. Arpita and Yash passed away and they left Ryan alone..."

"He isn't alone, he's with me and loves being here with me" Maan countered.

"Fine! Whatever" Savitri looked at him crossly, "when are you planning to get married then? You're 36 years old now"

"Whenever I find a woman good enough to like me for something other than sex" he answered.

"I do feel like killing you sometimes" Savitri scowled.

"Yet, I'm your favourite" Maan grinned.

This was an interesting part. Maan scared of a dog 😆 DM tried to emotionally blackmail Maan but he is an expert in straight talk. Liked his bickering with her.
