Location: MAAN AND GEET'S BEDROOM
"GEET MAI YEH JAANA CHAHTA HOON KI BRIJ NE AISA KYA KIYA HAI TUMHARE SAATH JO TUM ITNA DARTI HO?" (I WANT TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT HAS BRIJ DONE TO YOU THAT YOU ARE SO MORTALLY SCARED OF HIM?)
"Aap kyun jaan naa chahte hain? Woh mera ateeth thaa, aap usse jaane dijiye. Der raat ho gayi hai, chaliye sote hain!" (Maan, why do you want to know? It was my past, forget it! Its getting late, lets sleep.)
"Theek hai iska matlab hai ki tum sirf mera mann rakhne ke liye hi kehti ho ki tum mujhse har cheez share kar sakti ho." (Fine, this means you only say superficially that you will share everything with me.)
"Nahi aisi baat nahi hai. Mai aapko..." (No. I really can...)
"Mai samjh gaya Geet ki TUMHARA DARR HUMARE PYAAR AUR TUMHARE MAAN SE BHI ZYAADA BADA HAI !" (I have understood Geet that YOUR FEAR IS GREATER THAN OUR LOVE OR YOUR MAAN'S WISHES!) Maan left Geet. He turned to go to bed annoyed and disappointed. Geet held his hand stopping him from leaving.
"Theek hai agar aapki yeh marzi hai toh yeh hi sahi!" (Alright if this is what you want.) Geet walked till the balcony of their room, where clouds were gathering indicating likelihood of thunder, lightening and a major storm quite like the storm going on inside within the four walls of their bedroom.
"Yeh baat bahut saal pehle ki hai jab mai solah saal (16) ki thee. Brij hummei matlab Rajji aur mujhe baar-baar school se aate-jaate chedta thaa magar Rajji aur mai kissi tehara usse chakmaa de kar bhaag aati theen. Ek din Rajji ne mujhe bina battaye, Rudra Veerji ko jaa kar Brij ke baare mein shikaayat kardi. Uske baad Rudra Veerji, Abhi Veerji aur Lucky Veerji humesha Rajji aur mujhe school car se chodhane jaate the. Jab Brij ne dekha ki abb woh Rajji aur mujhe nahi chedh sakta toh usne Daarji ke saamne mere se shaadi kaa prastav rakha. Par mai umar mein chotti thee, toh Daarji ne taal diya. Mujhe laga ki abb mera aakhir kaar Brij se peecha chutta, magar mai galat thee. Ek din school ke bahaar mujhe woh haivaan Devdutt Bannerjee mila uss din Rajji school nahi aayi thee kyunki uski tabiyat kharaab thee aur Lucky Veerji ko mujhe school se pick up karne mein der ho gayi. Shuru mein toh mujhe uske iraade samajh mein nahi aaye kyunki woh bolne aur pehnaave mein padha-likha aur cultured family kaa laga. Mujhse Dev har samay milne ki koshish karta kabhi phool bhejwa kar, kabhi dupatta laa kar, aur kabhi mithai. Brij ke hadse ke baad mai sab cheezein Rudra Veerji ko battane lagi. Waise toh ek ladki apne maa-baap se sabse nazdeek hoti hai magar jab bhi maine Daarji aur Beeji ko Brij ke baare mein battaya, toh dono ne ansoona kar diya. Daarji aur Beeji humesha kehte ki 'Brij humare Pind ka ladka hai aur woh galat nahi kar sakta!' ." (Maan, this incident happened many years back when I was just 16 yrs. old. Brij use to everyday come to our school and trouble Rajji and me, but somehow Rajji and I always managed to escape from his clutches. Finally one day Rajji complained about Brij's behaviour to Rudra Veerji without my knowledge. After that Rudra Veerji made sure that Abhi Veerji, Lucky Veerji or he were always there to drop and pick up Rajji and me from school by car. When Brij saw that he can't come near to me anymore, Brij kept a marriage proposal for me in front of Daarji. But I was a minor so Daarji avoided the marriage talks saying Geet is too young we will talk about her marriage later. I thought that finally I've got rid of Brij when one day when Rajji was home sick and Lucky Veerji got late to pick me up from school, that heinous Devdutt Bannerjee approched. Initially I could not understand his true intentions as by his behaviour and clothes I thought he is a decent man from an educated and cultured family. Dev would always try to meet outside my school on excuse Giving me flowers, sometimes gifting a dupatta and sometimes bringing sweets. After the episode with Brij, I started telling everything to Rudra Veerji. Although girls are usually closer to their parents than their brothers but if I would have told Daarji and Beeji about Brij, they would have ignored it and said, 'He is from our village, and cannot do anything wrong.') By now Geet had started crying bitterly.
Maan went and got her a glass of water. Once she had water.
Maan swooped Geet in his arms and sat on the bed with Geet in his lap trying to calm her by rubbing her back.
Once Geet calmed down she continued, "Jab Brij ko patta chala ki Dev bhi mere peeche padha hai toh usne mujhe uthawaa liya aur ek andhare kamre mein bandh kar diya. Aur wahaan..." (Once Brij came to know about Dev's interest in me, Brij kidnapped me and locked me in a dark room and then...)
"Geet kya hua bolo naa? Geet jab tak tum iss darr ko apne andar rakhogi woh darr tumhei aur darrayega. Agar iss darr ko apne andar se bahaar nikaal kar share karogi toh woh hi darr kam ho jaayegaa." (Geet then what happened? As long as you supress your fear it will scare you more, but once you let go of your fear by sharing it, you will be less scared .) Seeing Geet still hersitating, Maan said, "Tumhei darrane ki zarurat nahi. TUMHARA MAAN TUM HARE SAATH HAI. MAAN APNI GEET KO KUCH NAHI HONE DEGA!" (You don't need to get scared. Your maan is with you, he will never let anything happen to HIS GEET!)
Geet hugged Maan tightly and whispered on his neck like a frightened child, "Aap sacchi mujhe uss Brij se bacchayenge naa?" (You will will truly save me from that Brij, Promise?)
"Haan bacchaongaa. Mere hote hue Brij tumhara kuch bigad nahi sakta." (Yes I will save you. As long as Maan is there Brij cannot harm you.)
Geet stiffened but looked determined and again started talking, "Brij ne mujhe akele ek andhare kamre mein bandh kar diya. Kuch der toh wahaan bilkul sannata thaa, phir mujhe ladki ki cheekhane aur chillaane ki awaazein aayeen. Woh awaazein itni bhaiyanak theen ki mera rom-rom kaanp raha thaa. Badhi himmat karke mai uss bandh kamre ki ek thodsi khuli khidhaki se bahaar nikali aur uss taraf gayi jahaan se awaaz aa rahi thee. Wahaan jo maine dekha, bhagwaan kissi ko naa dekhaye. Ek ladki ke saath chaar mard ek-ek karke r*** kar rahe the. Pehle Brij aur uske baad uske baaki chaar aadmiyon ne. Aur woh log bilkul ek jaanwar ki tehara tab tak uss ladki ka r*** karte rahe jab tak usne apna dam nahi todh diya. Aur phir dusari ladki ke saath wohi sab kiya. Mai darr ke maare waheen khadhi rahi, ek kaayar ki tehra unn dono bichaari ladkiyon ki madatt bhi nahi kar paayi.
Phir maine sunna Brij ne kahaa, "Jaa, Jasbir meri Geet ko mere kamre naal laa. Woh sirf mere liye hai." Yeh sunn kar mujhe hosh aaya aur mai uss andhare kamre mein wapis aa gayi. Kuch samay baad goliyaan chalne ki awaaz aayi aur phir sab shaant. Phir kissi ne mere kamre kaa darwaaza todha aur maine Rudra Veerji aur Abhishek Veerji ko wahaan paya." (Brij locked me alone in a dark room. There was pin drop silence for sometime and then there were a girl's pitiful and painful screams. Those screams were so horrific and blood curling that I was getting goose bumps with fear. With my utmost will power, I squeezed myself out of the slim opening of a semi closed window of the room I was in and then went towards where the screams were coming from. What I saw there, I pray to the Almighty that no one gets to see. There were four men r****** a girl one at a time. First Brij started then followed by his four men. They kept on r****** her like an animal till she was lifeless. Then same thing was repeated with another girl. In my fear I kept standing at my hiding place like a coward without trying to help those two innocent girls. Then I heard Brij thunder, "Go, Jasbir and get my Geet to my room. She is only for me." Hearing my name, I came out of my trance and quitely slipped back to that dark room. After sometime I heard bullets being fired and then again pin drop silence. Then someone broke my room door and I found Rudra Veerji and Abhishek Veerji standing there.) Geet concluded being physically and emotionally spent reliving her life of 13years back. Unable to act strong and determined any longer both Geet's mind and body gave up and Maan found her limp in his arms!
Maan carried his unconscious wife to their bed and made her lie there, covered her with a duvet and was about to leave when Manu got up. Maan fed him milk and by then Mini had also got up and Maan fed her milk. Once both children were settled in their beds and were sleeping, Maan went and called Rudra and told him and Abhi the whole story of what happened with Geet when she was kidnapped by Brij.
THREE MONTHS AFTER GEET's DISCLOSURE (Seven Month after Maan and Geet's Marriage)
As Maan had said Geet was more relaxed after the truth was out in open and she was not so petrified whenever Hoshiyarpur was mentioned. One day three months later, Beeji called and asked Geet to come with Maan and children to Hoshiyarpur for a ceremony to be done by a newly married daughter of the family in their ancestoreal temple in a village near Hoshiyarpur. Geet was hesitant and petrified regarding Maan, Manu and Mini's safety but Maan said that they will go and she should not worry. Despite of Geet giving number of excuses for not going, Maan's arguement won against all excuses and the young Khurana Family left for Delhi.
Maan was not keen to let Geet and children stay in Khurana Mansion due to security issue as Brij was still absconding. However he could not win against Savitri Devi and Geet's arguements. Hence, currently Maan and Geet were standing on threshold of KM with Janaki ready to do their aarti. Geet was standing on left side of Maan. Geet was carrying Mini in her arms and Maan was carrying Manu. Tears of joy were flowing from Thakur Amardeep and Thakurain Savitri Devi's eyes seeing the complete Khurana family in Khurana Mansion. Along with Khuranas, there was one more person who was overjoyed to see the young Khurana family at Khurana Mansion.
