First of all I can't really think Geet without maan but if there was no maan and the rest of the serial would be exactly same things might be like this:
1: without Maan's strict guidance and influence Geet would always remain the village girl with no self respect and afraid of everything and depending on others. She wuld allow her family to bully her into aborting her child and marry again and live an overall pathetic life and finally her new husband would be the hero and rescue her maybe because that's how hindi serial works

2: It could be that geet brings out the rebel that was always hidden in her and become independent single mom living a happy life with her kid proving that if we have strength then we can become our own heroes. and frankly I think the second plot better...

But if it became deveet I don't think I would have watched...deveet just doesn't work for me right from the beginning I dunno why...😃
