"Miss, are you waiting for someone?" Arjun's question broke Geet's thoughts.

"Huh...What do you mean?" Geet quizzed him in an irritating tone.

"Woh Miss, what he means is..." Yash replied in his place, "our class starts at 2pm and..." lifting Dev's wrist, he added, "it's already quarter past 2 and we are all sitting...just like that."

"Err...I...Haan...I was going through some assessment questions for you guys,"she said trying her best to sound convincing. "And you're here to study, not to do jaasoosi on me," she continued as she glared the trio. She mentally made a devilish note to deliberately cut their marks in the assignments she had last given them, tab dekhti hoon kya karte hai. And it's fair Geet, don't worry, she convinced herself.

Adi toh already aagaya...lekin yeh Maan...woh aaega bhi ki nahi... Geet thought as she scanned the class again... Khair choro... it's none of my concern.

15 Minutes Later

"Ok Guys!!! Take out y..." Geet was interrupted by a knock at the door.

"Yes!!! Who's it?" she asked as she turned towards the door. Aaahaaa!!! She smirked. "Oh Mr Khurana!!!" she voiced out. "Ahhh!!! Come in...come in... we were all waiting for you... that too with much impatience," Geet said with every bit of sarcasm she managed to a confused Maan who suddenly found her too sweet to be serious.

"Stop right there!!!" she said in a high tone as Maan's right feet crossed the class' threshold, while whole class gasped, more specifically Adi. No one stops MSK, Geet, he thought as he tapped his forehead. Ouchhh, that was hard Adi!!!

Chalo!!! Drama shuru, the trio thought shooting an amusing look to each other, as they ate their imaginary popcorn.

"Geeet!!! I..." he stopped himself seeing her raised eyebrow. "I mean, MISS Geet, I can explain," he gritted the words.

"Excuse me!!!" Geet exclaimed, baffled by his question. "First of all, YOU came LATE, and then you dare question me???" she said faking a shocking gasp.

"What?" Maan asked calmly, immune since long to her dramatic behaviour. When did I question her?

"Miss, Actuall..." Adi tried defending Maan, mustering some courage but it was to no use.

"Shut up, Mr-Wannabe-Lawyer," Geet let out turning in his direction. "If I'm not mistaken, I made myself clear on the first day itself that I hate latecomers. I am never late, so I expect you people also to be right on time," she said, indirectly flattering herself, as she again turned into Maan's direction.

Such a liar, both Maan and Adi thought as they looked at each other, trying their best to suppress their laugh.

"Geet, you're late...again," Maan said annoyingly as Geet dashed in the meeting room, without caring to knock.

An internal meeting was scheduled early morning at 9.00. And Miss Handa, as usual, was 30 minutes late.

She shook her head negatively as she gulped down a glass of water feeling short of breath after all the running.

"Fine!!! What's in for today's excuse?" Maan asked.

"Areh!!! Woh Pin.."

"Don't even try that Geet," Adi whispered to her as he elbowed her. "Pinky is on work, right on time, in the pink of health," he added not wanting her to make a fool out of herself.

"Thanks yaar," she said with a sigh of relief.

"What's with the whisperings?" Maan asked as he finally look up, "and Geet, I'm still waiting. Bolo, Aaj kaun bimaar hogayi, ya phir, kis abla naari ki madad karke aayi ho... or even better, gali ki kaunse chote chote masoom gareeb bache se milke aayi ho," he added, listing some of her usual over-the-top excuses. No doubt, she is good at her work. That was why he was dependent on her. But she seems to be having an enmity with punctuality, Maan would always tell her.

"Woh..errr... I mean...ummm...haaan, woh, my sandal broke while I was walking to the bus stop...sooo...I had to get a new one... See how new they are looking," she said with a grin as she pointed to her feet.

Out of reflex, all looked down.

Although not convinced, they couldn't disagree on the shoes being new.

"Ok fine, take your seat and let's continue," Maan finally said.

As Geet took her place, she didn't miss the look Sasha gave her.

Aaj bach gayi Geet, she thought, thanking herself for wearing the new shoes she bought 2 days earlier when she went shopping with Sasha, Tasha and Pinky.

"I..." Maan again tried but if only Miss Express would allow him.

"No... no excuses... Rather I was thinking, what about a punishment?" she said tapping her brain pretending to be thinking hard. She knew she was exaggerating over the matter, but isse acha mauka pata nahi kab mile, she thought wickedly. "Since y..."

"Miss Geet!!! Maybe you are not aware, since you recently joined, but I have the written permission from the Director of this school to come late in class as and when need be, given the nature of my work," he said, all calm and composed, as he flashed a smile at her, handing her a paper.

Geet's expression changed to a frown as she grasped the contents of the paper, which did not go unnoticed by Maan.

"So, if you're satisfied, can I take my seat," Maan continued with a smirk as Geet fumed thinking about her failed plan.

"But this is unfair to other student," she complained.

"Maybe, but my company has recently signed an agreement with the school whereby annually, top 5 students will get to do their internship with KCABA. A sort of a Barter System, in your language, you see... Miss. So for me it's fair," he replied, wanting to annoy her further.

The trio, who had been enjoying so far, was amused seeing this side of Maan. Wasn't he always calm, composed and the obedient kinda student? Ab toh pakka donon ke beech mein kuch hai ya phir tha, they thought inwardly.

Maine toh pehle hi kaha tha... no one stops MSK, Geet. Ab lagi na jhatka, Adi murmured to himself.

"Fine!!! Just take your seat. You've taken enough of my precious time already," a flushed Geet let out, dramatically, as she walked towards her table.

Khurana hone ka fayda, finally, uthaane laga hai, she thought with a frown.

"So everyone, like I was saying- before my class was interrupted by latecomers," she let out as she glared at an amused Maan and then turning towards the rest she added, "kindly take out your respective assignments."

"Assignment??? Shiiite!!!," a voice exclaimed causing all heads to turn.
