To Shika, With love

You have always showered us with updates during the birthday month so this time I thought why not be it the other way round. I have always wanted to write something for you but somehow anything I write I don't find it good enough. Today , as I post this I did not read it twice lest I may not post it. I know not whether this story will reach its destined end but you must always remember that

I feel you near me

Even when we are miles apart

Just knowing you are in this world

Can warm my heart.

To the Readers,

Hello !

This story is set in an alternate universe and Geet and Maan are different from canon ( they may be out of character) so I am quite nervous how it goes down with you all. This is the first time I have attempted writing of this sort.

I am unfamiliar with the cultures to which the protagonists have been portrayed to belong. So if there is any mistake then I would like to apologize before hand.

This is a song I love so much. And this is the song that kept playing in my head. Strangely the lyrics also went so well with the situation...

"... tum in sabako chhodake kaise kal subah jaaogi...

mere saath inhein bhi to tum yaad bahut aaogi..."

At the banks of a lake sat two people, their bond not tied by any blood but still warm and deep. At turbulent times, they both are somehow wondering about the other. He's worrying about the next course of action, she, the practical one and a slight cynic was worrying how to tell her little brother something experience taught her.

I know the original song had a different setting and the bond between the two people in there vastly different from the one portrayed here. But the picture you painted is as peaceful as the song. Holding as much turbulence in its belly, and soothing like the cool breeze of dawn.

the story set up reminds me of bengal n its beauty ..

its looking like I m reading Sharat Chandra's story ..the old villages , river bank..mastar mosai ..jomidar n all ..
anywayz ...love the bonding between geet n subho . geet is upset about something ? and subho trying to help her . m sure the master babu is maan ..
