CHAPTER 61
ALL THE NAMES & PLACES ARE FICTITIOUS(if any resemblance to persons & places is purely coincidental). Any royal titles, astrological predictions, architectural terms,IT terms & programs, office hierachy, wedding rituals, etc. are from my imagination hence THEY ARE NOT TRUE. PLEASE DON'T BASH ME !!!!!
Rajpurohit then announced, "Abb se aap dono pati-patni hain. Baadhon ka aashirwad lijiye!" Geetanjali with her new husband bent down to take Dadimaa's blessing but didn't get up as she collapsed in a hump on Dadimaa's feet mumbling, RA...JA, RA...JA, R...A...J...A..." ! Bridegroom threw his sehra revealing his face which caused a gasp of surprise from the gathered audience. He picked up his newly wedded bride in his arms and in front of the whole Kingdom of Rajgarh, then rushed in urgency to the waiting car. Inside the car, frantic bridegroom is shaking Geetanjali with his full force screaming, "MISHTY! MISHTY! MISHTY UTTHU! TUMAHARA RAJA AA GAYA! UTTHU MISHTY! PLEAAASEE!" (MISHTY !MISHTY Get up! Your RAJA IS HERE! Get up MISHTY! PLEAAASEE! ) Finally, the car reached the Royal Hospital of Rajgarh(RHR). Seeing their unconscious Princess, doctors got into immediate action. Maan explained briefly what might have happened. They rushed her inside Operation Theatre(OT) and tried to wash her stomach so all the poison is syphoned out! Seeing both the Gentleman and their Princess in bridal finery they were hesitant to make any assumptions. Hence, gingerly the head doctor spoke, "Hum aapka rishta Rajkumari-sa ke saath kya likhen?" (What should I write is your relation with the Princess?)
"Hum Rajkumari Geetanjali ke pati hain Yuvraj Maan Singh Khurana!" Maan said in royal tone. (I am Princess Geetanjali's husband Crown Prince Maan Singh Khurana!)
"Rajkumari-sa ke peth mei vish(poison) mila hai. Hummei police mei report karna hoga!" (There is poison in Princess' stomach. I have to report to police.)
"Uski avashiyakta nahi. Aap likhiye ki food-poisoning ho gaya hai! Hum bhi ek doctor hain. Hum aap ko bata denge kya likhana hai?" Armaan stated. (No need! You can state it as a case of food poisoning. I'm also a doctor, I'll tell you exactly what to write!)
"Ji Maharaj!"Doctor bowed respectfully and left for OT.
While this conversation was going on Vicky, Adi, Dadimaa and Rajveer also arrived.
"Adi please make arrangements for my staying in hospital." Maan said curtly.
"Why hospital? You can stay at the Palace!" Armaan said.
"Where my wife is not safe, I don't want to stay there."
"What are you saying Maan?"
"Armaan, the whole family has been blaming me all along since I got married to your sister which was 6yrs. ago, that I've not taken care of my wife. Whereas in both the cases it was not of my doing. First time Sasha poisoned her & locked her in archives; and second time she took the bullet on my behalf. But only one week I have been away from her unwillingly, and she tried committing suicide. The place where she should have been happiest and safest that is at her maika(maiden home). There has to be a strong reason for her to take such a drastic step. My Mishty is a brave girl and not a coward to have consumed poison this easily! I will find out the person responsible for this. Once I know who it is he will not be safe from me for trying to harm my wife!"
"Its me! We had made a plan to get you and Gudiya close and then get both of you married, but the whole plan went haywire. The people who we got to play the part of your and Gudiya's prospective bride and bridegroom got greedy last moment. They wanted to convert fake marriage into real."
"I don't belive you were the mastermind behind this plan?"
"Well ! I..."
"Hum the is shadyantra ke karta-dharta!" (I was the mastermind behind this conspiracy!)
"Mujhe issi ka shaq tha! Rajmata, kabhi aap ne socha tha ki agar aapke banaye hue chakravyuh ko, mai Abhimanyu ki teraha bhed na sakun to paanch zindagiyaan daun par lag jayengi? Nahi socha na? Aaj aap ne bhi hummei Dadaji ki tehare apni shatranj ka mohara banaya hai!" (I had suspected this! Queen Mother, did you ever think that if your plan failed, 5 innocent lives will be ruined. No? Today you also like grandfather have made me a pawn in your game of chess!)
"Maan humne woh kiya jo hummei aap ke liye, Geetanjali, Prithvi, Veer aur Rini ke liye sahi laga." (Maan I did what I felt was best for You, Geetanjali, Prithvi, Veer and Rini.)
Just then Doctor came in front of Maan and said, "Yuvraj, humne Rajkumari-sa ke peth se vish nikal diya hai, parantu jab tak unhe hosh nahi aata hum kuch kahe nahi sakte! Aaj raath hum unhe yahaan rakhna chahte hain observation ke liye!" (Crown Prince, we have removed poison from Princess' stomach but till she doesn't regain consciousness we can't say anything! We would like to keep her for observation tonight in hospital!)
Adi and Vicky wanted to stay in hospital and wanted to to send Maan back to Palace as again there was children's sleeping issue. But today Maan refuse to budge from hospital. It was decided that Armaan and Vicky will stay at the Palace and try to make triplets sleep but if they are unable to, then they will call Maan. Adi stayed with Maan for moral support. Dadimaa and Rajveer along with Armaan and Vicky left for home. Armaan had organised a small Presidential suite with two twin beds and basic needs. Maan and Adi found it pretty comfortable for a hospital room.
Next morning Maan woke up to the good news of Geet regaining consciousness. Geet when opened her eyes saw herself lying in bed surrounded by white walls having antiseptic smell. She guessed that she was in hospital. "Rajkumari-sa aap hosh mei aa gayeen!"(Princess has regained her senses) Excited nurse ran to call the doctor. Maan and doctor came together to see Geet. Seeing Maan, Geet immediately relaxed and smiled! After examining Geet the doctor left. Geet said,
"Aap kab aaye?" (When did you come?)
"Jab tum dulhan ke jodhe mei kidki ke paas khadi mera intezaar karte hue, ro rahi theen!"(When you were dressed as bride standing in front of window waiting for me and crying)
"Kintu humara vivaah toh..." (But my marriage...)
"Humse huwa hai!" (Has been done with me!)
"KYA?" (WHAT?)
"Kyun uss bewakoof Devraj se karna thaa?"(Why? You wanted to marry that imbecile?)
"BILKUL NAHI! Tab hi toh..." (Absolutely not! Thats why...)
"Aaj se humari nayi zindagi hi shruruat hai. Toh kuch naya karen?" (As we starting our new life, lets do something new?)
"KYA?" (WHAT?)
"Aaj se tum mujhe Raja ke bajaye MAAN bulaogi aur main tumhe Anjali ya Geetanjali ke bajaye GEET. Tumhe manzoor hai?" Geet nodded her head. "NAHI! Mukh se bolo!" (From today you call me MAAN instead of Raja and I'll call you Geet instead of Anjali or Geetanjali. Agreed? Geet nodded her head. Don't nod say from your lips)
"HAAN kintu ekaant mein! Aur aap bhi mujhe ek vacchan dijiye!"(Geet fowarded her hand) (Yes but in privacy! You also give me a promise)
"KYA?" Maan placed his hand in Geet's (WHAT?)
"Ki aap chahe kitni bhi choti-baadi; khushi-dukh ki ; ya sacchi-jhooti baat ho aap humse bejijak kahenge. Yeh sochkar nahi rukenge ki Geet ko bura lagega. Kyunki aaj se aur aab se Geet kewal aur kewal Maan ki hai. Atharth MAAN KI GEET!" (That is anything no matter how big-small, happy-sad or truth-lie it is you will tell me. You will never hesitate thinking that it'll hurt Geet. Because from today and now Geet is only of Maan. Meaning MAAN KI GEET! (Maan's Geet))
"Aur GEET KA MAAN!" Bringing joyous tears in Geet's eyes. (GEET KA MAAN(Geet's Maan)) Maan and Geet hugged each other with all their love and there was no holding back from both sides. Both forgot in the joy and contentment that they are in a hospital till they heard a loud cough.
"Bhai - Bhabhi, yeh romance ghar par kijiyega. Abhi Adi bhai aur mujhe shukriya boliye ke humne aap dono kareeb laane mei madaat kiya!" (Now rest of romance at home. Just now thank Adi and me for helping you both to come together!)
Geet withdrew from Maan's loving embrace but was blushing profusely. Maan let Geet create a distance between them but still had his arm around her shoulder. Geet was enjoying Maan's authority and possessiveness on her. Geet was now allowed to be discharged.
Dadima, Armaan and Yash came to take them home. They went to see Geet in her room. Maan did not look in Dadimaa's direction and didn't wish her either. Maan wanted to leave for Delhi immediately, when Dadimaa commented. "Maan hum jaante hain hi aap hum se krodhit hain, kintu kuch rasmei hain, jinhe nibhana avashiyak hai!" (Maan I know you are extremely angry with me, but there are few rituals which are necessary to be performed.)
"Dadimaa sahi kah rahi hain!" (Dadimaa is right.)
"Geetanjali beta, aap ka swasthiye theek nahi hai, toh abhi toh Delhi yah Rampur jaana sahi nahi hoga. Iss liye, hum kuch rasamein yaheen kar dete hain! Aur usske paschat aap Armaan aur Yash ke saath Rajgarh jaayega!" Dadimaa did some rituals, so Geet can leave with Armaan and Yash for Rajgarh Palace much to Maan's displeasure.(Geetanjali as you are not well we can't take you to Rampur and Delhi now. So I'll do some rituals now. Then you go with Armaan and Yash to Rajgarh. )
"Maan aap dophar ko khane ke samay Rajgarh jaayega aur raat ko waheen rahiyega. Kintu aap dono ki Suhaag Raat Rampur mei hi hogi! Kal Geetanjali ko sab rasamon aur riwazon se vidha karaa ke Rampur laayega." Making Maan a little calm and relaxed at thought of being with His Geet but then again annoyed at hearing about delay in his marital bliss.(Maan today you go to Rajgarh at lunchtime and spend the night there. But your firstnight will be in Rampur. Then tomorrow get Geetanjali with all proper rituals to Rampur)
"Kintu Dadimaa, humne jo pratigya lee thee. Uska kya?" (But Dadimaa,I have taken a vow. What about that?) Geet asked in confusion.
"Aap ne jiss jeevan mei woh pratigya lee thee uske paschat aapke dou janam ho chuke hain. Ek Coma ke paschat aur ek abb jab aap ke peth se vish nikala hai! Hum aapse shama prarthi bhi hain ki humare kaaran aap ko yeh kadam uthana padha!" (In the birth when you took the vow, after that birth, you have already taken two re-births. One after Coma and one now after flushing out of the poison! Please forgive me as well for being the main reason for you to take such a drastic action.)
"NAHI DADIMAA! Aap ki koi galti nahi. Aap toh kewal hum dono ko milana chahati theen. Galti humari thi ki humne apne pyaar par vishwas nahi tha aur humne yeh kadam utthaya. Kintu hum apne sapne mei bhi nahi soch sakte the ki apne Raja ke siwaye hum kissi aur ke ho sakte hain. Bhai-sa humari vintee maan hi nahi rahe the to hummei vivashta mei yeh kadam utthana padha. Hum aap se bhi anurodh karte hain(looking pleadingly at Maan) ki aap bhi sab ko shama kar dijiye! Humara parivaar hum dono ko milana chahta tha, aur akhikaar unhone ne woh kar diya!" (NO DADIMAA! It was not your fault. It was entirely my fault for not trusting my love and taking this action. But I could not even in my wildest dreams think of being anyone else's besides my Raja. I tried convincing my brother Armaan but failed and hence in desperation I took this drastic step! I request you (looking pleadingly at Maan) to please forgive everyone. Our family only wanted us to be together and ultimately, they have done that!)
