TEASER
A week which did not seem to solve anything.
In the midst of the hubble of Delhi traffic Geet had not noticed him in his car driving alongside her as she left to work and came back home.
Tonight was different.
He could not help the restlessness he was feeling. It was as if he wanted to go to a hilltop and scream his head off.
Geet had started to return home when someone had called out to her. She had waited as the man joined her.
Fair with curly hair and a smiling face, the man had started chattering to Geet. He recognized the man as an employee of Indian Paints.
His face softened as Geet smiled. It had been an age since he had seen her smile.
It pinched him that the smile was not for him but he was glad that she was happy.
Even as he was congratulating himself for being in control and not strangling the man, a miracle happened.
Geet burst out laughing. Right there on the middle of the street in Delhi! She held onto her stomach as she doubled with laughter.
It was a sight to behold. For a second he did not pay attention to her companion but as the man came closer, he had no choice.
Just as the man's hand came upto support her in standing up, Maan's eyes turned red.
Every possessive cell in his body shouted in protest.
If he could, he would obliterate the man's hand with his angry gaze.
Enough was enough!
No promise was going to hold him back anymore.
