You painted the past so meticulously in a few lines that I was able to visualise the situation from the perspectives of both the characters, which is really brilliant. Geet is horrified and highly distresed on being blackmailed into a marriage for her father's sake. She does not know what to make out of the man who blackmailed and bound her into this relationship. She does not know what he expects out of her, does he simply desire her to fulfill his physical desires??
Maan, I think, had fallen for her but found her unacheivable and so he did what he thought was the best (*it wan't I assure you Khurana*) and blackmailed her into this marriage. He loved her fine, but why was he so obsessive to make her his?? What if she was married already instead of simply being engaged? Would he have backed out then!
And even he was already committed to marry Ria back home! Him wanting Geet to be adorned with sindoor and mangalsutra furthur proves that he wants to see her as only his.
Guess I will have to patiently wait for you to fully reveal the past to know the grey cell procedures of Maan!!
And coming to the present, Maan is trying his level best to dig up the proofs about his innocence but all his efforts are in vain. Sameera remains elusive! Also Maan is himself unaware of what ecmxactly happened the day that Mohinder died. And his past is working against him which makes his situation really precarious infront of Geet.
Geet is adamant to return back to Canada and MAan is ready to employ all means to stop her. The emotional upheavel of the past days is catching up to him and he is breaking down within. His soul is cursing him for being the reason of her pain and yet he cannot let her go.
Ahh...There he goes again... commits another blunder of threatening her with custody!!
An advice for Geet: Do try leaving him with the kids..All his threats are complete hogwash, his last ditch desparate attempt to keep you with him. He would never cause you that kind of pain, he would himself allow you to leave with the kids for he does love you a lot, dil se.. Although what he would do with himself would hardly be debatable.
Maan is close to an emotional breakdown. The cracks are already showing up. Everything is extreme for him: love, care, paternal feelings, hatred, insensitivity. No middlepaths for this one!!
The Maan- Aadhaan scene was good. He made Aadhan overcome his fears of stairs. A really good touch!!
Oh! My heart goes out to this little kid Aadhaan. He is so insecure about his dad.
Sadly, Maan and Geet would never reach an understanding, even for the kids sake, until Maan is cleared up from the murder charge. The daughter in Geet would never accept it and they would remain in this impasse...
