More than two years and this thread is still open. I cannot thank you guys enough! Extremely sorry, held up with so many things on the personal front so though I would always come here to write again, it just never happened. I hope to be able to continue this story from now. The designs are ready. Maan kept coming up with new ideas until he was sure he had the perfect one.He had to show it to the CEO directly after all.That did call for his best work,didn't it? He had to make a good impression.
"Hello Pinky Ma'am , the designs are ready.. Can you let me know when Geet Ma'am will be available ?"
"Wow Maan, so fast! Sure I will get back to you after checking with her "
"Thanks ma'am"
"Hey Pinky!"
"Geet, Maan has the designs ready..he wants to know when you will be free so that he can meet you and show them to you"
"Oh..today after lunch?"
"Ahem , okay ma'am ! Yay I can't wait for you guys to meet"
"Pinky you sure are one crazy girl! Simply getting excited for everything"
"Well your future doesn't come in the 'everything' category my dear"
"Bye"
Pinky chuckles at Geet's reaction and hangs up the phone and informs Maan to go meet her after lunch.
Adi and Dev meet Maan for lunch.
"Adi Bhai, when are you going to approach Pinky ma'am ?"
" I don't know man. Give me some idea please ?"
"How about the next time she asks me to work on something I will tell her I will need some help and suggest your name ? For now you are not reporting to her directly right?"
"That would be great ! Yeah I am reporting to Ankit for my current project and actually for most of my projects till date"
"Okay then,I will do my job well but make sure you do yours too !"
"Sure "
They continue chatting about other things and lunch break gets done. Maan takes his designs and goes to Geet's room.
Meanwhile, Geet gets a call.
"What ? Oh my God! I will be there ASAP aunty you please relax "
She hangs up and calls Pinky.
"Pinky, listen,Akshara has met with an accident ,her mom just called and I have to leave for XYZ hospital now"
"Geet calm down..nothing will happen to her,she is a great kid..you leave and go to the mandir on the way to the hospital"
"Yes Pinky,I will! You please check Maan's designs and approve them if you find them good? I trust your decisions"
"Okay leave that to me, reach and let me know what the doc says"
"Sure bye,God is great" she says and leaves the room. A lift is readily waiting on her floor and so she hops on to that and goes to the ground floor ,texting her driver to get the car.
Maan,on the other hand reaches Geet's room by means of the second lift. He sees that her room is locked and is not sure where the boss is.
"Hello Pinky ma'am"
"Maan I just called your extension and realised you might already be on your way to Geet's office..She had to go somewhere urgently so she just left ,asking me to check the designs.Can you come to my cabin?"
"Oh ! Okay ma'am I will be there",he says and hangs up ,slightly disappointed at not getting to meet her yet again.
Geet rushes inside the temple all flustered that she bumps into someone by mistake ..
"Woh..I am extremely sorry,I didn't see where I was going"
"That's okay ,no problem",Annie replies with a smile..Her shoulder did pain slightly but the girl seemed very preoccupied..
"Are you okay? Here, have some water", she offers her water bottle to Geet..
Geet accepts it gratefully and quenches her thirst.."woh Kya hai na .. One of my students has met with an accident..I was on the way to the hospital but wanted to pray first so I was kind of in a rush..sorry"
"Students ? Wow are you a teacher ?
"No no I am not.. I have sponsored her education right from when she was a kid,she is more like family.. so are the other kids..I really hope she is out of danger",she says in a single breath
"Wow that's very nice of you..please don't worry, she will definitely be fine soon,.I will pray for her too..you calm down and go pray to God,she will take care..actually I will come along too, chalein?"
"Yes I really hope so..Thanks a lot..yes let's go",Geet says and the ladies proceed to pray for the little girl..
They come to the entrance..
"Sorry again and nice meeting you ..I am Geet ",she says and extends her hand
"I am Annie..it sure was nice meeting you ..take care ,everything will be fine"she says with a smile and walks to the bus stop,thinking how nice a person that girl is.
Geet proceeded towards the hospital,hoping Akshara will be okay..
She reached and found the kid's mother and her mother there..
"Ma how's she?"
"She was hit by a bike while crossing the road Geet.. Fractured her wrist and injured her leg..thank god she will be okay in a couple of weeks "
"God is great ma..Can I go meet her?"
"She is in the room..We just came out..you can go in"
"Okay I will be back..you and aunty get some coffee "
"Okay beta..do you need one ?"
"No ma I am good"
Geet enters and sees the kid with a cast on her hand and leg..
"Geet Didi! You came!"
"Of course I came Akshu! How are you feeling?"
"It is very painful Di..I don't like these",she says pointing to the drips and the cast..
"Just couple of days bacchi,you will be back with a bang soon and we will play your favourite games again",she convinced the ten year old.She then continues talking to her ,telling her random things and trying to make her forget the pain temporarily.
Geet sure was a nice girl despite the name and fame..
That evening,Annie tells the incident from the temple to her mom.. " I hope Bhai finds someone as lovely as her ma..She will make one awesome sister in law", she says with a wide smile and her mother knows that if Annie finds someone good that girl sure should've been amazing..She hopes for the best and blesses Geet and that kid ,praying she should be fine ..
Maan enters and hears the last part of the conversation , his mother blessing some girl and hoping some kid should be okay..
"What happened Annie? Who is ma praying for ?"
"We were talking about a girl I met in the temple Bhai, Geet
"Who? And wait.. you went to the temple?"
"Bhaaai. I go on and off. And I had to talk to God about my results. Anyway, the girl's name is Geet, why?"
"Oh! Okay.." he says and goes to his room thinking 'Are there really so many Geet's in this place or is it just the same girl everywhere?! I have to see what my boss Geet looks like"
He logs into his company website and goes to the 'images' section and there she is , the CEO Geet Handa, the girl from the mall!! :)
