The Myth

The test of a true myth is that each time u return to it , new insights and interpretations arise.

A saying Or belief Or fact Or superstition Or Myth ... these words play an important part in ppl's life ,, many blindly believe or live their lives on some belief nd myths ,, from d time of d bith of a child to till his/her end some belief never left them ,, those ppl trust a priest who himself a human being nd it's also said that human is a bundle of mistakes ,, then how cn a priest be trusted blindly ? Does a priest's words r more important than an innocent child ? If yes then where is humanity , love , care nd family bonding ? Where r relations nd their warmth ? Where is Truth nd Reality ?

DM nd Reema wr also relieved nd thanks their stars nd God for this progress in relations with Geet ,, now they cd get d happiness of having their grand child nd DIL with them .

Maan was at d loss , but somewhere he was also relieved for his family ,, they got back their Geetika , his parents nd DM wr happy nd he was satisfied that at least they wr able to talk Geet ,, she respected his family where he ashamed them,, he was quietly sitting lost in his thoughts , where other was busy in packing nd Yash ordered for lunch .

Maan's POV ...

Maan was recalling his past ,, what type of life he lead nd where he was now ? he remembered how his parents nd DM tried hard to make him understand every good nd bad results of his decision to marry Sam ,, they convinced him that they wr thinking for his better future , even Sam's parents too rejected his proposal ,, in d fear of life nd future sam too told him go with his family wish , but he took all wrong ,, he was blind in love for Sam ,, didn't realize that, at that time too for her life she back stepped nd refused to marry him , he realized that it was only he who was possessive for her , made plan for higher study in abroad nd convinced her to come with him Canada ,, bore all her expenditure ,, shower his money on her ,,,she was very happy when they wr enjoying their free life , but when his Dad stopped his money nd they came in monetary trouble she started blaming his parents ,, she never tried to co-operate with him ,, at last blamed him for her disease ,, asked money saying it was his responsibility ,, even threatened him to ask money from his Dad ,, she said that she didn't get anything from her relation with him , but she got a big sum of money from him which was impossible for her nd her parents ,, her treatment was possible bcoz of his money ,, at least she cd get back her life ,nd got her family , but what he got ? Nothing ... he was only losing from d day he had come in Canada ... money , health ,education, respect nd family ,, he is alone like a loser , a rejected person ,, whose coming life wd be fill with remorse nd regret .

Maan came in present when he got d call from Pinky ,, she was his team guide up to 1st sem ,, she called him for asking his nd sam's result ,, Maan came out in balcony to talk her.

Maan: hello Pinky ?

P: hey Maan , what wrong man , I saw urn d Sam's results ,, it was not satisfactory ,, she has back in 3 pprs , nd u r in margin ,, do u both have any prob in study ?

Maan: no , Pinky , it was our mistakes ,, didn't give proper time to study .

P: where is Sam , cn I talk to her ?

Maan: sorry Pinky , she is with her parents .

P: Oh,, any way try hard in next sem to cover up d lose buddy ,, u cn ask for any help if u have any prob .

Maan: sure Pinky, nd thanks a lot ,, how was ur nd Adi's result?

P: O ,that is good .

Maan: congrats , i'll talk to Adi later .

He cut d call , came in nd joined his family in lunch , , there was a big list of dos nd don'ts for him from DM nd Reema ,, Yash was quiet ,, before leaving both d ladies wr trying their best to make him understand d gravity of situation nd told him to keep in try to convenience Geet ,, he wd have to understand his responsibilities ,, running away or sitting defeated was not d solution ,, if he cd took a bold step going against all nd cd hurt others , then he had to become more tough to bear d outcomes ,, if Geet cd face him nd bore d pain given by him , then why cdn't he bear?

Maan was listening nd understanding their concern for him ,, this was also a hidden support for him ,, both wr encouraging him to face Geet's indifference nd rejection ,, now it was his time to taste d same pain which Geet did.

At eve all d Khuranas wr at airport ,, Maan came to drop them ,, from last 10-12 days he was with his family ,, many things had changed in these days ,, in these days there was only one thing in mind nd in discussion ... Geet , only Geet ,, till now his family was with him , but now he had to face Geet alone ,, he cdn't hide like before nd shut him away , but facing her in college after all this confessing was painful ,, his mom nd DM deffo asked him about Geet in coming days ,, before leaving Yash told him.

Yash: Maan, i'll send u d papers ,nd u'll hand them to Geet ,, took x-rox copy from her nd send me back , OK .

Maan: ji Dad .

Yash: remember one thing don't try to run away from ur responsibilities ,, u promised me before taking money that u want a chance to prove u to trust u ,, ab koi galti nahi honi chahiye.

Maan with lower head: ji dad .

DM: take good care of u nd don't stop talking to her ,, gussa hi karegi na , usska haq hei.

Reema: Maan , Geet tumhare liye ek lesson hei , usse seekho aur samjho ,, uske aas-paas rahana ,, khayal rakhna uska , chahe wo kitni bhi naraz ku na ho ,, matt bhulo ki tumhare ansh ko zindgi de rahi hei ,, Khurana family ko khushiyan de rahi hei ,, etna sab sahane ke baad bhi usne humari baat ka Maan rakha , ab tum uska Maan banna .

Maan: Ji mom .

Yash told them to go ,, Maan touched their feet nd hugged them with heavy heart ,, his eyes turned moist ,, he felt alone nd deserted ,, Yash, DM nd Reema bade bye to him nd went for checking ,, Maan came back with heavy steps ,, tonight he had to go in his old house .

When he reached in his apartment his eyes went towards geet's prev home nd realized that , she had left from there ,, he entered in his flat , that was dark nd silent ,, though it was looking lil clean bcoz Reema arranged that ,, he didn't like to do anything , so lie down on bed keeping his bags aside ,, his thoughts went to Sam , nd then their result ,, Maan called her to inform about d result ,, her result was bad nd he was not sure what she wd decide for next sem ,, may be she drop out bcoz of her treatment ,, there was no chance to carry on her study,, it was not Sam but her baba replied .

B: hello .

Maan: hello , GE, I m MK ,cn talk to Sam plz?

B: sorry , she is sleeping .

Maan: how is her treatment going ?

B: after all tests , C*** started ,, d treatment go long ,, she is facing a hard time , so better u don't talk to her .

Maan: Oh,, I want to know , did she inform d college ?

B: yes she did , nd there was no chance to carry on her study ,, one more thing Mr MK .

Maan: yes.

B: thanks for ur help ,, though we r very angry nd upset which u both did nd now facing this bad phase of life ,, she was also equally at fault , but ur this help give a big support to cover up d damage ,, we'll take her back with us , so better to end up everything here .

Maan: ji , cn I talk her once ,, last time after recovering her .

B: i'll tell her nd she'll call u when she'll feel better.

Maan: OK. Thanks nd good luck for her.

They ended d call ,, Maan was relieved that atleast her parents count his help nd he was able to cover up some damage here ,, he gave them what they want d most.

Then he called Adi nd talked to him for few min , Adi too asked why their results wr bad ? ,, Maan gave some lame excuses nd said that he wd try hard this time ,, he change d topic nd started talking about other things nd then finished d call.

There was many Qs in his mind ,, the he thought what he wd do in those remaining holidays ? he was alone nd free ,, 2^nd sem had few days to start only then he cd plan his next study time-table ,, he was determined to cover up this loss nd tried hard to get good score in coming sems , then he remembered to join back his work after coming back from India ,, he knew that his dad wd gave him limited money , so better to join job for experience nd money ,, he had sufficient time now ,, thinking this he got up to mail his prev boss , who want him back in his Co. .

With a new fresh feel Maan got up , change his clothes, emptied his bags nd then made a black coffee for him ,, opened his laptop nd mailed to his prev Co boss to confirm him that he was joining his job back nd coming to meet him in his office next day.

Then he checked his money status in ac ,, that was enough for his next sem fee nd expenditures ,, he was alone now , nd decided to change his lifestyle .. A New life .
