Sameer Wankhede takes Aryan Khan’s series TBOB to Court
Maan was sipping his tea when his Dadi bought the topic he hated.
His marriage.
This time however, it wasn't a plea to meet girls. She changed tactics. She was producing pictures but she didn't do a thorough homework on the girls. There was a light twinkle in her eyes as if she had a trump card to play.
Maan was far from being an idiot so he waited.
"How about this girl?" She produced another picture and Maan took it and looked at it interested.
"Hmm" he said meditatively. "Beautiful. What's her name?"
Savitri Devi fumbled.
"Uh" she said taking the photograph back to check.
"Parineeta"
"Beautiful name too" he commented, scaring off Savitri Devi.
"You like her?"
He shrugged.
"You seem pretty disappointed" Maan ventured carefully.
"Nothing like that" she bounced back, placing the picture on the table before them.
"She's a little too thin"
Maan laughed. "Where are the feminist speeches when I want them?" He said mildly curious. "Who are you and what did you do to my Dadi?"
"Not that I mind. She's pretty" Savitri Devi said chagrined. "Just that I thought she isn't your type"
"My type" Maan said totally amused now. "I have a type now. Wow. What's my type Dadi?"
Over the next few minutes Savitri Devi described not so subtly about naivete and earthy beauty and someone who could speak their mind. Even nuclear bombs are subtler than his Dadi, he thought fondly.
"Stop describing that wildcat" he said mustering as much irritation as possible in his voice.
"Who?" Savitri Devi was all innocence "Geet?"
The said Geet however was passing by, stopped dead at her name being taken.
"Yeah that same one" Maan said bored.
"I wasn't describing her in particular" she said with an air of casualness which made Maan really appreciate her acting skills.
"But now you say it, she does fit the bill"
"Yeah except one little detail" Maan said getting up.
"You got the beauty part wrong. She is no celestial nymph. Just below average"
And with that he visibly broke the older woman's dreams and a younger woman's heart that was listening to the conversation.
------
Geet stood before the full length mirror checking herself.
She had worn a peach colored Saree, that enhanced her color and suited her really well. Her hair was left open and she was untangling her hair with her fingers absent mindedly as she looked at her reflection.
A plain Jane looked back at her. Plain eyes, plain face and plain figure. Of course she was no celestial nymph but still, listening to those biting words hurt. It shouldn't, but it did.
She looked away from the mirror and walked towards the mansion, for the dinner that she was invited to in Khurana mansion.
She was acutely aware how much she didn't belong here, in this high class society party the moment she stepped in.
There were people with backgrounds, wealth and fame there, and amidst them was she, who was a nobody. It pulled her confidence lower and lower just staying there but somehow Savitri Devi hadn't invited her just out of formality. The older woman looked delighted to see her there and had given her enough errands to make her busy, for which Geet was grateful.
"Geet can you ask one of the servants to call Maan. He might still be in his room..." She had told sometime back and got busy welcoming some guest.
Geet had looked around but she was still fairly new and didn't identify all the servants and didn't want to offend anyone by assuming they were. The couple of faces she was used to weren't around.
She made her way to the first floor, with a beating heart and walked through the corridors by herself, trying to remember where she was going and mentally making a note of every turn she took, lest she got lost.
It was a huge mansion and the number of rooms that were in here could fit half of her village.
She walked towards the end of the corridor and hesitantly knocked on one of those doors.
"Come in" she heard the masculine voice, which has by now become familiar, especially the giving orders part was not new.
She turned the knob and entered, still staying by the threshold.
"Maan sir..." She said her voice not betraying her jumbled nerves.
"Dadima wanted you to come downstairs"
He had looked around then, who was busy buttoning his cufflinks, and looked up at her.
He was breathtakingly handsome, even in his dark suit, his gelled hair that was brushed away from his face and the lost look on his face, when he heard her.
It was a mere moment or maybe infinity extended between them, she wasn't sure. But as he pinned his eyes at her, the gaze was warm as he walked towards her.
She hitched her breath and went back into the door, her hand enclosing the knob in a death grip.
His Woody scent filled her senses as he came closer, his right hand placed at the door just next to her face and leaned in.
"And who would you be?" He asked, his voice taking a husky tilt.
She raised her eyes to his and saw the faint humor lurking around his eyes. Something in her heart broke, the fresh wound still alive.
"Certainly not a nymph" she said before measuring her words.
Something in his eyes shifted.
He raised his finger, curling one long lock of hair that was on her face.
"I doubt it" he said with the same husky tilt of the voice as he touched the corner of her eyes, taking the kajal of hers, and painfully moved the finger just hovering around her body but not touching it, until she felt the finger touch just above where her Sari was tucked at her waist.
Her surprised eyes raised to his and his warm brown eyes held her with an intensity that scared her.
"I'll come down in a moment" he had said then his eyes still for her. "Wait for me downstairs"
It was more of a question than request.
Confused and out of breath, she nodded mutely before fleeing.
Sometimes, she just didn't understand him.Originally posted by: ChandlerBing
Msk is going to be very sarcastic. Very.
Part 12 - So now manchanda uncle told about his shifting to Chandigarh and pinky going with him. He wished geet to come with them but as geet said she got the job after lots of efforts. She managed him to accept her situation.
He wanted to know about why she left her house, why her parents left he daughter but he knew that something drastic had happened.
I just wish pinky also stay with geet for a company.
Part 13 - Very true. Dev was guilty for his wrong doings. He was almost forgotten her but seeing her pregnant he was shocked but still he was thinking that her family should have married her off with someone else. But he didn't accept that it was his wrong deeds.
So maan behaved like a big bro to dev & vicky. He always helped dev to clean his mess and for Vicky he was a idol. He easily accepted him. but as for dev, he tried so many things but he couldn't create his place in his heart.
Will he come to know that what he did to geet.? Will he find her.? or again like always he will seek maan's help.?
